EDIT: Plentiful ammo aswell. What more could you want in a zombie apocalypse?

MK48 is clunky, and unless you're lying down it's muzzle climb is unbearable. I just prefer the m14AIM in general, it seems to be a weapon I can use to it's full! :)

m14 also for me. but also an ak when you are in a town can make the difference against whinchesters and lee enfields. you don't always have the time to aim as those weapons require

M14 by far, it's got the accuracy, rate of fire and un-cumbersome nature of it.

Plus the rifle looks damn sexy while providing all of that!

That M14 to me is the best mainly for the fact that it does 8k damage a shot with pinpoint accuracy. Other than that id have to roll out with the M16. This gun has came through for me in the worst situations time and time again just with ironsight, add an ACOG to it and we're in business.

I also want to add that the MK48 with the AimDot is rediculously badass too. You run into a convoy and you will take out the whole friggen thing no matter how many cars they have.

Ugh, only AR type weapons. Where's the AKM? Not exactly a cqb weapon and not a sniping weapon either (No scope).

I love the m14aim. It packs a punch, its pinpoint accurate, volume of fire is amazing and the visibility while looking down the sight is second to none.

Ps it ain't super rare and its ammo is everywhere.

M14 Aim is good , but i also like the FN-Fal its really accurate and also good in close combat becouse of the burst. But hard to find ammo so the M14 is the best allround

Its hard to argue against the M14 it is a really amazing weapon. Deadly accurate with great stopping power.

I voted for the MK48 because of personal preference. It may not be as accurate but it spits death and I love that about it.

the akm is good like starter, indeed is the most common AR, mgs are more for the long range imo, but the volume of fire they have makes them right in every situation..if you get suppressed by one of them, they can finish you with a makarov..the m4 with scope is really good, but the damage could be better, and the recoil of the m14 is quite similar so it's still better just for its 8k

the fal is as good as m14, same noise same damage, but the ammo is really a pain! especially if you stick with it raiding helicrashes: you use more ammo than you recover, and while searching for the same ammo you are wasting!

I'd go as far to say the M14 is the best weapon in the game, fullstop. It's so versatile, you can use it for anything close range but at the same time you've got the ability to hit a target out to 200m with ease, you can stretch that out to 400m but it starts to get very hard at that range. It's also far more accurate than the Mk 48

M14. The maneuverability and accuracy/range of any mid-range rifle with the stopping power of a 7.62x51mm round. It drops people hard, often with only one shot and then they're done for.

AKM is a great mid range weapon too. Some may be deterred by the iron sights but lets not forget you can zero this weapon. ive gotten confirmed headshots with this at the 300+ range.
