umandez 139 Posted January 7, 2013 And I...Jizzed.. in my pants. Now to just pray, to get selected for testing . Looks like this is going to be well worth the wait. So looking forward for the Ragdoll (If that's still on the list)... so much fun to be had.

guisho 258 Posted January 7, 2013 I'm just curious about how they will distribute the 1000 keys for the NDA beta, because I don't think that they have that quantity of slots only for "known people". It would be awesome to have some kind of contest with a prize of 100 keys or similar.

UbiquitousBadGuy 846 Posted January 7, 2013 Looks great and the new interiors will definitely add depth to the game. Really looking forward to the UI changes and further development on customization of objects and degradation. Can not wait to see what is under the hood of the new game.It is called a whisper kick.Isolate the mind fluid and then, THEN see the world for what it truly is... I guess that means we will still be stuck with the same staggered animations for death, changing weapon etc?Any who there is always time for that to be changed, I just can't wait already to test out this new MMO architecture :DFair enough, guess that mean's the rest of us will just have to wait :( Saying that i've put in a staff application, got through afew stages and then everything went quiet lol) Edited January 7, 2013 by Dez. jaymurphy98@hotmail.co.uk 32 Posted January 7, 2013 Hopefully after a month or so of closed tests and us seeing a lot more, the game will gain tons of constructive feedback, leading to some open betas:P

It would be awesome to have some kind of contest with a prize of 100 keys or similar.would be amazing, that the well known mods get a free key ok, they need to get some reward. Still they get a clsoed testt acces aswell wich at that time, the work on the forums are gonna suffer from.Still. A closed test, that could take a few months. So i am wondering are we having to wait another 6 months to finally get our hands on days SA foundation? Cause when i thought of a foundation release minecraft model i was assuming we could start buying ourself into a alpha. But now of a closed limit test for 1000 people? Or is that just stresstesting servers? And finally some systemrequirment specs would bemuch appreciated. are we more leaning towards arma 3 or towards arma 2, or neither cause of a new engine. Abexuro 17 Posted January 7, 2013 (edited) Be careful not to mime Minecraft too literally. DayZ is championed for being unforgiving, and thus, your target audience is not a wider audience. A complex UI is not a bad thing, but a counter intuitive UI is a bad thing. A complex UI is not necessarily counter intuitive. The design goal should be to be as efficient as possible regardless of how complex it needs to be. It should not be to make it as simple as possible.This.Also sometimes when the character is shaking heavily I don't know whether I should take painkillers or a heatpack. These non UI informations are great, but they have to be somewhat recognisable. That's also my question about the diseases, how do you want to inform the player he/she is sick? sirbeefmcnugget 0 Posted January 7, 2013 I like the interiors of the buildings. It will be really nice to have houses populated like that. That does bring up one concern for me. It has always been an issue with ArmA and I pray to God that either ArmA 3 fixes this or the DayZ devs have found a way to fix it...turning with your gun drawn. Seriously...trying to turn around in a hallway, crowded room or on a staircase with your gun out is painful and pretty much impossible. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one.I really like the screen with the shoes outside the door, those little details are really nice. Kinda makes you wonder what happend to the people that used to live there. I am a bit concerned about the furniture though, I can see myself getting stuck and killed by zombies as a result, at least if the SA works anything like the mod does. However I am sure that they have thought of this all ready and that it won't be an issue in the SA.

Michaelvoodoo25 3120 Posted January 7, 2013 (edited) People People, calm down, Oi Mod's don't give anything away yet, Let it pour like a cornwall flood when and only when you have the facts.Don't forget your histories first testers, be pro's and don't tease the animals.I think rocket and you guys should start documenting this magical time. You could cash in later on in life. Edited January 7, 2013 by Michaelvoodoo25

umandez 139 Posted January 7, 2013 I have now, what do you mean by a Staff application?I put in a support ticket applying for a position, I got a reply from Jonathan saying he was going to put it to his supervisor and all went quiet haha. I can give you a ticket number if you wouldn't mind looking into it for me? I would love to contribute.
lvg 1690 Posted January 7, 2013 By Staff do you mean a Mod? The Support system is completely separate to us and as far as i'm aware it was strictly server applications related only which is rather defunct now that private hives are ruling the DayZ world.
