What type of playstyle do you prefer?

Recommended Posts

I am not a fighter, unlike my name states, but more of a spotter. I cannot fight for shit crap. I scan for danger, and let my comrades take them out. What type of playstyle do you use?

Medic, counter sniper......hero

I am an average shot, nothing to brag about, I can kill but i choose not to. I observe, move when bandit as50 snipers are not looking my way and creep up behind them. If they take out another player (espcially an unarmed one) I tell them why they are about to die as I unload a mag into them. (I tell them quickly its not for normal pvp, its because they are an asshole)

So stealth and surprise attacks are my main playstle.

I could be behind you right now, my L85 aimed at your head waiting for you to make a douche move

I am always friendly. Had the hero skin for most of my playing time. I believe KOS is the coward's way.

I'm not a pacifist but I do have a moral code when it comes to shooting other players and this code is best summed up by Mal from Firefly, "You don't know me, son. So let me explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed."

This has gotten me killed by many a sniper and fake-friendly survivor. It will not stop me and I will not change. Cowards and liars can take my beans but they'll never take my honor.

I like sneaking around. I sneak past zombies when I go to a loot spot and leave when it's still safe. I usually look other survivors as a threat, but I don't kill on sight unless I have to. On the other hand, I hunt down every bandit I see.

You have my beans, sir. This is my general viewing.

Friendly medic. I don't like killing players, But on the other hand I am also a victim, I will not shoot at you unless in self defense. I dont have chat software so i use side chat only (If in game) that way i can get around and help anyone who needs it.

I did play a different style on different maps just to play all different types, but I just can't kill, don't see the point of spoiling players days.

I still crawl everywhere around Zeds, always have. Makes the game a challenge for me.

I'm a bandit hunter. I got shot at by two bandits in Cherno, and killed one. I couldn't find the second one, and had to go though. So as I was disconnecting, I heard two shots.

I hope he didn't think I combat logged.

I prefer the playstyle that has the best chance of keeping me alive in the current situation.

All out rampage against zeds :D Helping survivors and daring bandits to open firefights. And trying to keep electro and gorsk free from snipers.

I have two playstyles. Stealth and speed, then run and gun.

stealth for looting, run and gun for when I get spotted.

I do not pickup any canned foods I find and with sodas I only pickup what I find in those small cabins with the lights on.I only hunt and drink from wells/lakes most of the time.I only eat one steak from each animal I kill and only eat when I am blinking red in hunger.I have died a few times from lack of food/drink but feel this only adds to survival feel.

For weapons I only pick up guns that have ammo with them and then I use them till they are empty at which point I then scavenge for a new weapon. This part has me running around with 4 or 5 bullets at times and adds to that save your ammo feel I crave.

And lastly for past two days I have been forcing myself to not run into buildings and instead I will use the outside of buildings to trick the infected or trees etc.So now I have some sense of fear of infected and have had some really close calls losing like 10 of them by diving into sheds or ditches before they turn the corner.

Yes I am weird but I like this style of playing the game.

Depends on my mood and where I'm at in the gearing up process. But, my #1 dictum always applies: I never trust anyone. That doesn't mean I KOS, but I don't team up, I'm not giving you medical help, and I'm not turning my back on you. I'm a loner and I keep it that way.

When I'm a relatively fresh spawn, I'm agressive. I'm entirely focused on getting my basic supplies; taking chances I won't later on. I'm not going out of my way to PvP, but if I see an easy opportunity to aquire better gear by shooting someone in the back, I'll take it. Once I gear up with basics, I'm move north to hit military spawns and stop by my tent if I have one. As a loner, I'm usually an opportunist PvP-er; generally avoiding a fight if there's much risk to me. As long as the other player isn't doing anything too stupid (having his back to me 25 meters away or closing on my position), I generally just avoid the other player.

All this changes if I get my hands on a sniper rifle. At that point, I'm looking to hunt. I never, ever camp for coast spawns. I camp places in the north decently geared players will most likely visit and not normally the obvious places like NWAF and Stary. I want high end gear. Popping new spawns (aside from being lame) isn't worth the risk. I pick my camping spots carefully. I know the rifle I'm using. I know the various ranges from my hidey hole. It won't be an obvious spot like "the highest spot in sight". I will have cover. I will be in a spot that doesn't spawn zeds to tip players off. I constantly check around me so I see someone getting too close and always have an escape route. I will always have an assault rifle or LMG as a secondary in case someone does get too close. I check to see if a player has a buddy before I shoot. I will not shoot unless I'm confident of a first shot hit. If I don't have the shot, I don't shoot. Wait for the next one or move on. I will watch the corpse for a while after a kill and wait; making sure the coast is clear before approaching cautiously and looting. Hit or miss, I'm moving on to another location after I fire in case the victim comes back for revenge or tips his buddies off.

Yeah, I "camp". But, snipers in real life are "campers". I'm not looking to have a shootout with other players. A shootout means I screwed up. A man could get killed doing that. I'm looking to kill them and take their stuff and that's somewhat more difficult with them shooting back at me. I'll wait, hide, evade, etc. just to get that one good shot. I really enjoy it. It's a lot like hunting in real life. Sniping has taught me a lot about the game and player behaviour. More than anything else, it's taught me how NOT to killed by snipers. There's some really basic SOP, that if players will always follow, that will keep 95% of the snipers out there from getting you.

Funnily enough, when I get bored of this, I think I'm going to play as a medic for a while.

I try not to go looking for players.

I avoid them until I can't avoid them anymore, then I kill them. And I'm damn efficient at it. I've killed a group of 6 heavily armed guys who had a HUMMV (server I play on has that. It's legit and stuff) with a 1911 and an Enfield.

well, if im on chernarus or lingor, or something im usually the friendly guy, telling people to drop guns or i will fire, if not dead,

but unarmed survivors i meet , i go to them help them find the gear they need and storm off into the night xD

but on maps like Utes or panthera i go nuts , KoS

I like both styles of play and want to do them both mainly liking killing other players on utes since it is a PVP map which lots of people dosent seem to understand L0L

Lonewolf myself, I'll try and scavenge when i can. Moving around the map from one place to the other, never the same place twice... if i come across someone (civilian clothing) then I'll observe and if it presents itself i might even form a partnership..Never KOS unless it's a (Bandit) that go's without saying.

If people don't act threatening, I'll leave them alone. Problem is everyone with a weapon is threatening. Any anyone without a weapon starts acting like a threat as soon as they find one.

Plus on any populated server, it feels like Cherno and Electro are surrounded by sniper camps. Within 15 minutes of respawning, I had myself a ghillie suit and some sort of sniperized assult riffle with thermal sights and a bunch of satchel charges.

I'd really like to get an SUV working though.
