First off. Inquire on the teamspeak/website for more info. A list of features is as follows(but not limited to): * Epoch Napf * Build Snapping * Normal Day cycle with time sync'd to UTC -8 (West Coast US) * Active Admins - Admins are on most of the time and are very helpful in dealing with typical problems, and host interesting admin events. * Private Hive * Lots of Vehicles - 500 * Custom Missions - Wicked AI mission system and Ikea cargo truck missions. * Indestructible Bases - Excluding Doors, all walls/floors are indestructible * God-Mode / Anti-Theft Trader Zones - No stealing from back-packs or locked vehicles * Added Custom loot areas - More lootable areas added all across the map. Well, I'd rather see motorcycles and armored vehicles. Helicopters will make camps useless and if are made realistic, such as needing a lot of knowledge to know how to fly and needing a lot of fuel, what would the point even be? Actually. Yes, add helis, make them so complex that the ratio of successful flight to crashed flight is 1:450. :D !

Our server is almost always being monitored by admins from America and England, and an admin can always be contacted on our TeamSpeak server (You can get our TeamSpeak when joining the server, This is just to keep our TeamSpeak slots open for people who need help or just to chat with other people on the server). Bans are ALWAYS a final resort (This does NOT apply to Hackers/Scripters or Exploiters). DayZ Epoch - AI Bandits / Survivors - Side Missions - Self Bloodbag etc.

We have vehicle tow, heli lift (with radar and paradrop feature), self bloodbag, AI missions and treasure hunts, safe zone trader zones, bell helis spawn in the wild and are also available from selected traders, stock is updated daily (vehicles may be in short demand if people buy too many and dont' sell them, but there's always plenty of other stock like food, drinks, ammo etc). You can also send in your custom built bases and we'll upload them (can take up to 24hrs), all we ask is that you don't build in high loot areas or for the purpose of sniping etc, you can't include any items that will give you an advantage, like fuel tanks, ammo crates etc, and you can't add doors, safes, locks etc as they need to be added in-game or they won't work properly. So leave your doors etc to put on in-game. You spawn with a keymakers kit, so use it and remember to back up your vehicle keys. We are adding Evac heli pads for bases in the next few days. Make a helipad at your base, assign a heli and you've got a heli lift whenever you need it. We are still deciding on how much this should cost to build. See you in-game. -

FRIENDLY???, home of the RIP community has a very active admin player base, that includes European and American players, so you are almost guaranteed to have an admin online. If you keep getting shot down... You must really suck dude. With my squad we would have a couple of players and when I got bored and nobody else was online, I would fly low over NEAF, NWAF, Berezino and the coast. Let me tell you - most people don't even bother shooting at the heli because you have a better chance of winning the lottery than taking one down while it's moving at full speed - and you only give your position away! Also, if you had a heli and were looking for camps this is how it goes down: You fly around the whole map, taking mental pictures where the camps are. Then after you scout a portion or whole map, you go back to your base, take a buddy and two squadbikes and voila. You now raided the entire map, didn't risk your heli and destroyed other's work just because you were in the sky. Unless tress are fixed so that you can no longer see right through the forest (because it doesn't render fully) I am STRONGLY against any air vehicles, but especially against helicopters. The small Gyro heli is cute, keep that. It's a deathtrap if anything.

Uhhh, as long as its not like the current state of the mod i.e. a heli on every street corner it'll be fine. From the sound of it, repairing any vehicle is going to be more difficult than in the mod and the helis will be rare. Oh, and I didn't realize COD had vehicles of any sort.

K.. Picture this.. all heli's stashed, all offroads under control.. your only options for finding the camps are on foot or in a car that does 4kph offroad. The owner(s) of the heli(s) fly around during low-pop time periods and smash camps while only a handful of people are online... so no matter what you did while there were 40+ people online, when you log in the next day all of your shit is destroyed. Aside from that, people do not usually hide their camps/vehicles in high pvp areas or high pop areas, which means heli's do not need to fly over/near those areas in order to find your camps/vehicles and destroy them, so your argument is more or less invalid.

I agree with the OP.. No helis. They do exactly what he said: Allow 1 group of players to dominate the map. I know because my group has been that group on several occasions. We get a heli and within 24 hours every tent, vehicle, and chopper is either in our possession or destroyed.. And what happens when a "fresh" group of players spends hours and hours to collect loot, repair vehicles, and stash stuff in tents, just to have it all destroyed within a few hours? They quit playing on that server. And, as he said.. 1 heli hovering off in the distance over NWAF... Someone from their group dies, they fly to the coast, pick them up, and drop them back into action fully geared (or allow them to loot their body) within 5 minutes. Heli's are not good for the game.

I am definitely looking forward to Namalsk as a map, or something similar for a change. They would need another whole team to work on it and get it like Chernarus+ is at the moment. It would take a lot more to add a temperature mechanic, a lot of different items, different vehicles, and other stuff to make it work. I would love to play it though. Also, I'd like a mod for tents. Not the small ones we have, but like medical ones and stuff you can set up in the woods to store stuff.

I've taken down a chopper that was hovering over NW in the mod with an M24 by just shooting the people inside it though, and again when flew over my camp and decided to try and land in it thinking there was nobody there. Shot him right in the face and he dropped out the chopper which gently landed in camp, cleaned up the ones that parachuted out as well but accidentally shot my friend who I mistook for one of them. Ill agree that they can be OP but if they are made difficult enough to maintain, fly and refuel etc I think they will be fine. The real problems come when private servers are up with 80 helicoptors and 200 vehicles. Also there are downsides to having choppers which you haven't mentioned such as stealth is completely gone and anyone on the ground knows your there, I've had to many awesome encounters with choppers such as being nearby when they decide to land and ambushing the landing, destroying/stealing the chopper and wasting all there time the spent getting that thing in the air.

I have solution: 1. make helicopters use a different type of fuel from land vehicles and make that fuel extremely rare and raise the rate at which it depletes during flight astronomical. 2. Reduce the fuel tank capacities of the helicopters so for example they cannot travel more than X number of kilometers without having to be refueled. 3. Motor sounds attract zombies anywhere within 150m(example) above ground. 4. Create a skybox? Cars will then be a more viable and feasible option for transport than helicopters because of how troublesome it is to maintain a helicopter.

I'm not particular keen on having helicopters in the game either. They seem too powerful and destroys the purpose of having a bare survival game. But it is difficult to say what they will be like until we have some sort of vehicles in the game to compare with regarding repairing, gathering of parts and vulnerability.

Hello there IF helos are indeed added, do not expect them to behave as they did in the mod. The same with all vehicles. Yes, having air power will be dominating, but don't expect to be able to get a bird in the air as easily or to have it immune from ground fire. As to COD "whiners" having an impact on dev decisions, well thats just not how they work. Rgds LoK

theories that makes sense a little bit (to me atleast) 1-)maybe chedaki faction from arma 2 took over after events of arma 2 and bought themselves some cool guns eh? (ik AK s makes more sense) 2-)US army left some of their weapons and vehicles to CDF after leaving the chernarus 3-)UN came and tried to stop/slow down the zombie outbreak with assistance of CDF or whats left of them and both failed (yay m4 for survivors)

hi survivors:-) some ideas from my friends and me. we hope you enjoy it. IDEAS: 01 - add fruit trees to get food 02 - add minigames (cards, rock-paper-scissors, rubik's cube); if you wait for other players, you can play it alone or with others 03 - add dangerous animals (wolfs, bears); all over the map; you can hunt them...and...they can hunt you :-) ; you have to be more attentive in the world of Chernarus 04 - add a "real" river through the map or a big part of the map which origin is in the mountains 05 - add flag/patch crafting; you have to collect some tshirts in different colours and a sewing kit; then you can go in a menu to create you flag/patch; then you can craft the flag or patches; nothing spezial, only coloured lines or/and squares 06 - add diving 07 - add using secondary weapon (pistol) while swimming 08 - add some higher mountains at the end of map; snow on top, maybe new clothes (winterjackets, winterboots, etc... to hold the blood heat); basecamps on the mountains; maybe a ski area with ski lifts (add skis and snowboards so you can ski)->you can collect jerrycans to fill the engine form the lift 09 - add some more weather effect (snow, hail) 10 - add four seasons (with all thing); in winter the deciduous trees lost all their foliage; bears f.ex. hibernation in caves on the mountains->less animals for hunting 11 - add an authentic driving physics for icy streets; maybe an authentic walking physics for icy street an snowy paths 12 - add some locked houses or garages which can be unlocked by players (code=nobody knows it,you have to try it) or you destoy the lock (maybe with selfmade explosives) 13 - add NPC-Soldiers; some groups of (~5) soldiers walk over the map; the government wants that the NPCs kill all players, because they could be infected; you have to be more attentive in the world of Chernarus 14 - add a bunker at the end of the map; there are many zombies (~50 or more) and two super mutant zombies inside(super zombies are very strong and tall); this is not a normal dugout, its an experimantel dugout (because of the super muntant zombies), with very nice loot inside; you cant win alone you have to be a big group to clear the area 15 - add sunstroke; if you make wood or carft something, you can get a sunstroke if you wear no cap or helmet; result=vomit,.. 16 - add flare guns 17 - add much more nice spots like Rifty, the Hotel in Chernogorsk and crash sites; maybe an old, rusty theme park 18 - add using spray cans for makeing graffiti by players 19 - add mirrors; if you destroy a mirrow in a house, you can take a piece to your inventory; if you combined it with dugtape and woodsticks, you can craft a stick with a mirror->you can look around corners while hiding behind a wall 20 - add jungle hats in different colours/camouflage 21 - add new fighting system like boxing: left mousebutton = left hand; right mousebutton = right hand; hold mb for a powerful punch; add an extra key for the defence 22 - add some more "fighting scenes"; dead zombies and bodies on the streets(some are burned, shooted or something like that); more blood on walls, floors, stairs; 23 - add a comrose like in BF with commands like: hello, bye, friendly, need help, ...; playermodel speaks in "direct communication" -> add more then 5 voices per sex 24 - add more infection areas; if you go in a hospital f.ex., you have to wear a breathing protection or better a gasmask; if you dont wear it, you can become infected very fast 25 - add fire stones; same action like matchboxes, but the firestone doesnt fret - very rare 26 - add a trace-system; make footsteps longer visible especially on sand, dirt and tracks(snow); if player is hit, he is bleeding and you can follow the blooddrops to trace him; the drops shouldnt be visible longer then 5-10min 27 - add more colours for the houses; public institution like fire- or policestations, hospitals should have the same colour in every city (like now), but the privat houses, garages and shops should have different colours 28 - add grappling hooks; you can craft it with three piece of metal, a rope and a (camp-)fire; you have to heat the metal, so you can bow the metal and then combined it with the rope 29 - add molotov cocktails; carfting with alcohol(for wounds) and rags(from tshirt); but for using you need matchboxes or something like that 30 - add a rot-system for dead players; STEP1: in first 30min the dead character will be cold, cataleptoid and the lips get blue... STEP2: in the next 2 hours the model will rot(flies around the body and the skin will be turn to black/brown/grey like rotten meat)... STEP3: after 2,5 hours there is only a skeleton. if nobody loots the body, the cloths will be turn from pristine to badly damage (if clothes are not ruined from bullets); STEP1=worn;STEP2=damage and later badly damage; if the player was killed by a zombie and someone take the clothes, the chance he become infected will increased with the condition of the clothes(f.ex. worn=unlikely;badly damage=very likely) 31 - add melee; with combat-/kitchenknife, ...; if you sneak behind a player press a button to make a silent kill ... please wait ... EDIT: 32 - I went to the end of the map months ago and the abrupt cut, from a living area to a "nothing" area is...ugly. The last ~1000m of the map should be a fallout area - dead trees, bones, fog, crashed/destroyed cars, maybe some houses far away and everything is burned down. But it should only be a visible thing. So there is not protection agains the radioactivity - no clothes or later vehicles. If you enter this part of the map you should die in seconds. Before you can get to the wasteland everywhere is barbwire (with broken parts) or walls and signs which caution you against entering this area. when we have more, we edit it. thx:-)

Yes, I understand you can (and our ancestors did) get meat from hunting. What I was referring to was the fact that, even with hunting, meat was not regularly eaten in today's quantities. Meat (fresh meat, at least) was scarce, a luxury, reserved for religious meals or the wealthy. A farmer wouldn't slaughter his cow just to eat it, he would slaughter it so it wouldn't take up so much resources (grains, mostly) during harder times, like winter. And far more animals were kept alive than were slaughtered, generally only the males were slaughtered and dressed. Also, a farmer would very rarely have the time to go hunting. Farming without the benefit of electricity and vehicles is a whole-day job. Besides the fact that farm animals were worth more for other byproducts of husbandry (milk, cheese, wool, skins, etc), than for their meat. All I was saying was the fact that meat was a small portion of our ancestors diets. Was it eaten? Yes, but not a lot. Our plates were mainly grains (and grain products, like bread), vegetables, beans and dairy products. Meat was a very small portion of our ancestor's diets.

Direct chat is obviously more modular since you aren't restricted by preset phrases and words. ... please wait ... I am iffy about this since there was no fallout that created the Zombies. It was a virus that takes over the "control system" of the human's brain. The debug plains is what you reached and that can be used to later expand the map, so I wouldn't want to see this. The points I didn't include, I'm somewhat okay with.

Okay so i got the access to Mysql & looked at the object_data.. Low & behold there are pages upon pages of random vehicles all within a matter of seconds with this code next to them [["telo",0.553]] Which says to me that they teleported them somewhere however they are all listed as damage = 1.0 so they are basically gone. Also they have started respawning too thank goodness!!
