If so i hope yo are right. But for now as many things they are adding, as much lagg exist on the game and some towns aren't even crossed because of that. More object and items to load in. Personally my roadmap at this point would be: after the 0.49 update, focus on the engine! Even if it will take 2 month of works without any other update, but it must be this. You can't add vehicles on this status!

COLONIES PVP OVERPOCHINS! Here is some information about our pvp server. This server has merged 3 different dayz mods, DayZ Epoch, DayZ Overwatch and DayZ Origins, hence the name Overpochins. What it takes from each mod. DayZ Epoch: Everything from The Epoch mod as it is our main mod. DayZ Overwatch: Vehicles and weapons off the overwatch mod, still working on getting skins to work. DayZ Origins: The origins version of Taviana Map, + Vehicles and buildables. Server scripts: - Body bombs (You can attach a grenade to a dead players body, you need a toolbox and a regular grenade) - Knockout players(You can knockout players if you have a crowbar and a weapon on you) - Arrest players(if you have a wire fencing kit you can hold other players hostage) - Car Towing and Heli Lifting (All vehicles should be able to tow and lift other vehicles) - Refuel/repair/rearm at gas stations(refuel for free, repair and rearm will cost you a bit of gold) - Snap building pro(Build your base like a pro with the awesome snap script) - Elevator script(create elevators using metalfloors, you will need certain items to make this) - SafeZones at traders(Self explanitory) - A.I Missions - Sector B with A.I and Loot - Custom Areas(These will be added frequently) - 350 vehicles spawn around the map - NO plotpole needed(But recommended to have if you don't want others to be able to build at your base) - NO maintaining bases. - Overwatch clothing More scripts will surely be added in the future. To connect to our servers you will need to have the latest versions of DayZ Epoch, DayZ Overwatch and DayZ Origins(1.7.8.5) installed. nah, crafting Food and soups and the like HAS to be in. Cars will come ...just be..Patient... I dont see how implementing cooking and the like whouldent benefit the crafting part with vehicles... How can they have vehicles if the just recently realized they have to rebuild the engine? They might have models but I doubt they have vehicles working in any of their builds. If they do then they really picked up the pace compared to the last eight months. -
And in real life, if you run around in the rain, you die from hypothermia. Such as it is in Day Z. You run around in the rain, you die from hypothermia. Don't like it? Go join the rest of the server-hopping brigade. I, for one, want as much "realism" stuffed into the game as possible. I want weapon maintenance (that takes a considerable about of time). I want weapon jams if maintenance is not done. I want shoes to wear out (and to be a whole slew of different sizes AHEM REALISM), so the hunt for new shoes is almost as pressing as the hunt for more bullets. I want worn, ill-fitting shoes to cause foot pain and blisters, slowing you down (not until after vehicles/alternate travel is implemented, of course). I want shelterbuilding, to get out of the rain and to store stuff. I want trapping/foraging, being able to trap squirrels and rabbits, and eat plants other than berries (there are pumpkins, wheat, etc everywhere in Chernarus). I want horticulture, I want ammunition reloading, I want complex vehicles. I want a goddamn SURVIVAL game, not just a point-and-click-TPS/FPS-with-added-survival-elements.

Instead of adding Tanky vehicles, i would agree if during the year devs will make DAY EVENTS where Tanks can only exist on that day and for specific circumstances.

I actually suggested something like this on forums no to long ago. I said how it should be made as real as possible, in order to fix a car or something you should need to either know basic knowledge of it or look it up. It should obviously still be do-able, but very realistic. not hard, but realistic. My man reason for these thoughts at the time was that if I have some prior knowledge of survival, hunting, vehicles, etc. I should be able to use that to my advantage in-game. Good to know others think the same way.

Aside from bug fixes?: 1. Persistence and barricading/base building. 2. Vehicles Right now I'd settle for a bike and my tent persisting on my clan's server. Have you played the mod? Epoch or Overpoch in particular? You can break down barricades, cut them down with chainsaws, drive through walls with a tank, or just shoot up the house (bullets penetrate.) -

Hmmm ... 45 posts and nothing but bullshit in each one of them ... Are you 12 ? Cuz you whine as if you wanted attention . But on a brighter note , it is secret and like Irish said no vids were allowed.. I've heard people say that vehicles were In the build (false I'm sure ) and others have simply said that the new renderer was to be the focus of the pax build .. I dunno well just wait to see I suppose :0 ! -
These things *aren't* hard to operate, as Dale pointed out. They were designed to be operated by mediocrely trained conscripts pulled from farming families, and don't require a GED of any sort. Their FCS and armament is incredibly outdated, and it's a design dating back to the late 60's. The armor is paper thin, and has been known to be penetrated by 12.7 and 7.62mm rounds, as well as being incredibly easy to set on fire. This is probably the LEAST overpowered tracked vehicle I can think of, and the majority of your criticisms are bias and uneducated assumptions. If a resource starved African militia can operate this thing, who is to say that us survivors can't? No one but Bohemia, because you people have ZERO authority on deciding what our survivors can and can't do. Besides, most of you missed the point. Instead, you read the title, and jumped to complain. It's not like you'd see these things regularly, probably not at all, being justifiably rare once loot economy shows up. Reminder: Military vehicles don't "disappear" when the apocalypse hits.

I do have a working microphone aswell. 5] Steam name: Mr. Tickledick 6] How long have you been playing DayZ: Been playing DayZ since the mod first started gaining in popularity ( june/july 2011 to be specific ) Back just before the Revolver was removed as starting weapon, and replaced with the Makarov. I have 300+ play hours on DayZ Mod ( unable to count it precisely due to the use of DayzCommander and Six Launcher, which disabled Steam play time counter ), and 50 hours currently on DayZ Standalone. 7] How many Clans have you been In: ¨I have been in 2 clans so far, 1 of them i started myself along with a few friends of mine. I have not been in any clans in DayZ Standalone as of yet. 8] Previous experience: my time was mostly spent on Namalsk, Panthera, Lingor or Taviana servers, as those maps simply were the ones who appealed the most to me. I was in a clan once, dedicated to helping bambis on a Lingor server which me and my close friends were supporting at the time. Over the course of a few months i became our main pilot, and as a result i have become quite decent not only at driving, but also at flying both planes and helicopters. In DayZ standalone it doesen't look so bright however. The bugs and lack of vehicles have kept me from getting as much into it as i did with DayZ mod. i am with my 50 play hours however, still quite capable af defending myself here. One of my primary attributes in DayZ Standalone has been to work as a sort of 'navigator' for me and my friends. Unlike in DayZ mod, you cant just use ingame maps and markers to get to places, so i have been forced to find my way around without the use of such items, and as a result i know 50% of the map ( primarily north and around the eastern coast ) without having to even glance at a map. I know the way from pretty much anywhere, to pretty much any of the major attractions. I will however need the use of an in-browser map, or an ingame map, if i am to find one of the less-visited attractions. 9] How many bandits have you killed: I was a pretty good bandit hunter back on DayZ Mod, especially during my clan days we specialized in tracking down and killing bandits. Being honest with you, i didn't count them, but 100+ is for sure. In DayZ Standalone i have not been so active, primarily due to the lack of a competent clan, but have still managed to kill quite a few bandits. 10] Are you willing to help other players: Of course. If they are friendly towards me i will be friendly towards them. Whenever i come across a friendly player in need of something, i tend to try my best at helping them get that something, be it food, medicine or even a weapon. I will be honest with you however, i do not hesitate to shoot them if they are threatening me, or are in any other way obviously not friendly. I will also in most cases not engage in contact with an armed player, if i havent managed to get contact with them. Either by typing or by the voice chat. This is only in cases where the player in question is armed though, if they are showing now visible signs of being armed, i will usually approach them even though they havent responded to me in the chat. -
To run off topic, Russian AFVs take less maintenance in my experience. Afghan National Army is using vehicles that the Russians abandoned during their withdraw. Its hard to keep an Up armored humvee or a MATV in working order with a working supply chain while ANA guys are running T-55 tanks that are fed with parts pulled from scrapyards and wrecks from the Soviet presence. On topic. While OP's idea is unpopular I would like to see some lighter military vehicles like MRAPs,Soft shell humvees,BTR 40s and GAZ Tigrs.

Pretty much. Repairing vehicles, then using them in combat. Repairing/maintaining armament, growing food. All the stuff that the PvP-ers don't seem to think about all that much, but is ABSOLUTELY necessary for any modern army to function. There is a saying: "Amateurs study tactics, Veterans study strategies, Professionals study logistics".

Listen, I know you said to not whine and complain, so I will try my best. but I disagree with you about the tank/carrier/BTR thing. Remember the survivors of an apocalypse are probably the genetically immune, not the guys with the best guns and shit. So these are most likely average citizens here. Sure, an average citizen can shoot a gun, maintain a simple vehicle like a bike, hunt for food, etc. However, an average citizen probably would not be able to fix a vehicle of this complexity. I personally would be fine with it, as long as the cannon and machine gun were not included. Honestly, I think in a post apocalyptic scenario there would be a whole lot more people driving pick-up trucks then tanks and carriers and such. I have the same thoughts on helis/aircraft, they should be incredibly rare and not include guns, be used primarily for transportation. Also, I personally would rather have a pick-up truck or jeep or something then a vehicle like this. A, it would be a lot easier to get running and B, it would be a whole lot faster to get from place to place. I think military vehicles should be included, but not tons of BTR's and tanks and such, I think that having a hum-vee with a working LMG should be a HUGE status symbol. Heli's and stuff should be so rare that people should doubt if they exist. Anyway, that's my thoughts. thanks for reading.
