    Loot Rarity Categories

There are some discussions of people wanting certain items and others not wanting them because "they are useless", "its a survival game", "its not battlefield", "its not a dress up simulator", "it would be overpowered". In my opinion thats all bullshit - those people just want their favorite features implemented instead or avoid being on the receiving end of a asymmetric situation. Bring on all the loot (thats below a Battleship)! But make items sufficiently rare so DayZ feels like a proper survival game nonetheless. Having those big, shiny, awesome, tacticool whatever items gives players goals - and something to fear. You know its unlikely but sitting at your campfire a humble revolver being your only defense knowing somewhere out there are people with assault rifles or worse creates tension. And finally after hours - probably with the help of others - you finally get your hands on one - what a reward. But you still know there could be an even bigger fish. Now I like to think of DayZ gameplay as "play the cards you are dealt" - so I will name the different tier after poker hands. Keep in mind vehicles would need fuel and repair and firearms would need ammo and maybe magazines as well. High Card Tier (Abundant) Those items are everywhere and can be harvested with or sometimes even without the right tools. Wooden Sticks, Berries, Rags etc. One Pair Tier (Common) Items that are common and can be found in almost every household no matter where you are. Chances are pretty high to stuble across them by sheer luck and when entering an unlooted house you should most likely find one of those. Kitchen Knife, Tracksuit Pants, Leather Shoes etc... Two Pair Tier (Uncommon) Items in this tier can be found in many households or other buildings provided you know where you look. Looting through a town would probably net you some of those given nobody took them before. Splitting Axe, Wool Coat, Rope etc. Three of a KInd Tier (Rare) Items that can be found in most towns but are considerably rarer than the ones in former categories. Finding one of these should not be easy but it is a great step forward if you mange to. Usually at least one per unlooted town unless you are getting really unlucky. Handgun, Cargo Pants, Bike etc. Straight Tier (Very Rare) Those items while still available in most areas are hard to find and might require extensive search with a little bit of luck. You may not be able to find this kind of item in every town so better get used to wandering off and trying your luck elsewhere. Hunting Rifle, Hunter Pants, Scooter etc. Flush Tier (Extremely Rare) Finding those items is hard and should require players to search specific areas or buildings to even have a chance finding them. Now extensive search of (multiple of) those areas should eventually lead to success given no one else was faster. You should forget finding this gear soon after spawning - thats the tier most long-term survivors would sport if they got a little lucky. Submachine Gun, Military Grade Pants, Small Car etc. Full House Tier (Ultra-Rare) Very hard to find gear of this tier should be the rarest non-limited gear ingame. Bound to a few limited spawn points combined with a low spawn rate those items are above what you could simply find by surviving long enough and having a little luck. Getting them should require major effort and keeping them... even more so. Assault Rifle, Ballistic Helmet, Truck etc. Four of a Kind Tier (Unique) Good luck finding one of these. Thats about the "one per server" tier - though bad luck might cause servers to not have any of those items on them. Finding one is extremely unlikely and you should be able to not see a single one in a very long time even if searching for them. Those items should be globally limited to ensure rarity. Getting your hands on one of them is the maximum of what to realistically expect. Sniper Rifle, Body Armor, Humvee etc. Straight Flush Tier (Stuff of Legends) Now those items have impact by their sheer existence. Its very unlikely to ever come close to one but you know they are out there - somewhere. Even extensive long term search would most likely result in failure. Casual players logging into DayZ from time to time might never encounter them at all and even veterans should seldom catch more than a glimpse. Anti-materiel Rifle, Night Vision Googles, Helicopter etc. Royal Flush Tier (Holy Grail) An optional tier consisting of gear so rare you might only have one or two instances in the whole game. Getting this requires more than exceptional effort and luck - thats what it would take to even catch a glimpse of a part. Because of this exceptional rarity this gear might be nothing more than a theoretical possibility that might never come it life. Battle Tank, Self Propelled Howitzer, Gunship etc. TL:DR: Give us all the loot - but make it rare.

  3. I was just thinking while I was chillin in city sniping people it would be awesome to be out in the middle of no where and actually run into people. Like chill at the top of some big huge dam that can overlook everything in the middle of the forest and just set up a tent and have friends on different lookouts and just secure the entire area and move around as a big formation. You can't really do this or you're in for hours of doing nothing, I spend 90% of my time in Elecktro just because it's one of the few places where at least a little action happens. As much as some people think it would make cities horrible and a deathfest, I think that would only be the beginning and after a while you'd see a lot of people doing different things. Especially when vehicles come out and hopefully they will upgrade the current cities and give them some more variation and not be so predictable.

So, who owns the ".:FOG CLAN MUST DIE" server?

Makes sense, like saying "he has driven Lamborghinis, Porsches and a variety of other vehicles" and then showing a picture of a Reliant Robin.

    Dayz mod (vannilla/epoch) or standalone?

I love the mod I've put more time into it than any other game I've ever bought/played. I love the vanilla mod the most as epoch seems to easy most of the time yet it does still have some challenges especially if your being chased by a SUV with a mini gun on top. compared to SA well as of now i'll choose the MOD honeslty I don't play much SA I just find it boring a new patch comes out I see what it has to offer and then an hour later I'm loading up commander to play the mod again not because it has vehicles or heli's one reson being is it does have a lot more zeds and the player encounters to me are a lot more exciting it seems to take longer to get geared and sometimes pretty hard to find food(like I said sometimes) it just feels to me like its more of a survival game. I do have high hopes for SA and I do hope that eventually I spend as much time on it as I do in the mod I think its just gonna be down the road when more stuff is tweaked and its not so easy. sometimes I think where they made every house enterable they actually made the game a lot easier to survive a town in the mod where you might have 2 buildings with loot now has 8 buildings with clothing guns and food so the odds always seem in your favor in that game where as the mod the dayz gods are always cursing you and making your life hell.

    Need help whit Fps issues

Ye I am waiting for the first full release of dayz SA and especially for the vehicles and the new engine. But it would be nice to find a solution for Dayz mod so i could play it ATM before Dayz SA is gonna be fun :)
  7. I agree with there being other ways to find it, but I think this should be the main way. I like the idea of find jerry cans with petrol in but I also think they should be a rare resource (to make collecting fuel more difficult), the smaller plastic cans could be a common spawn though, found in vehicles and garages and places like that. making jerry cans industrial/military only, you could find them semi rarely at fuel stations too, but I don't think there should be any left in the pumps, players will have taken it all. Another good place to find fuel would be random car spawns (the ones I talked about, that would spawn parts/gear) they could spawn with quite a lot of fuel in the tanks as well. >Also, I like the idea of possibly getting sick from siphoning, I don't think it should be fatal but it should make you throw up or something. Would make people actually think about it before doing it. I don't agree with that though. I get that it probably would make you sick IRL but what purpose does it serve in game? Why would you want to make people think twice about siphoning? The downside to it is already much more serious, you are out in the open with a fuel can in your hands instead of a gun, it's open season for zombies and players alike unless you're very careful or have guys covering you.
  8. So here is something that has been going through my mind for a while. How would it be if your character aged? I've seen the suggestion where your character grows a beard etc etc. Lets just pretend the experience and perks system has been implemented already, dayz is far, has been officially released etc. How about implementing facial and body aging? How about choosing the type of body/character you want? How about sigarettes?Like, you start off young, looking skinny and normal, inexperienced. As the time goes by, you start growing a beard, you start getting longer hair, your face becomes a bit more, well, old. Your character becomes more grumpy, your stamina depletes faster, climbing ladders/drawing your weapon goes a tad bit slower etc etc. I'm talking about lifespans of weeks, not days. Like first two days your character gets facial and regular hair growth, then your character gets a bit bigger and chubbier every day, until your beard/hair starts turning gray and eventually you end up losing abilities, losing stamina, losing speed, etc. What would be even more awesome is that if you p.e take blood transfusions, take pills or injections etc you risk getting sick more or you risk getting a heart attack more than when you were young. This would give the epi-pen and the defibrillator a good use. What would be even more immense would be if your diet increases your lifespan by a day or two, or actually decreases it. So lets say you eat canned beans every day, that would make your lifespan stay the same, lets just say you eat meat one time, vegetables the other time, rice that day, fruits the other day. Right now that would be an useless feature, but looking at far distant DayZ gaming, it would actually seem awesome as hell in my opinion. Give me some opinions, here are mine for now: Positive: People will be forced to live temporary, people won't get attached to their items nor their characters. If building bases and camping tents function properly, it would require them to actually use them instead of being a lone wolf who dies from age somewhere in the woods. If experience and perks come in, people would have to choose wisely what perks they take, instead of having the ability to max-out completely. The diet function would make sure people just don't stack up on 10 cans and be safe for good. Negative: Is there really anything negative about this?! Now, regarding the body type: Few types: Athletic(athletic perks) Medic(medic ") Survivalist(survivalist ") Militairy(militairy ") Casual civilian(casual ") This once again goes in the long distance. If you choose an athletic body type, then you get athletic attributes par example, you get athletic perks easily, you last longer, you're faster but you have issues learning the other skills. As a medic, you're bound to make less issues, get less infections going(thus needing less antibiotics), but you also have certain skills which others do not, like breaking bones back into places instead of having to use splints or morphines etc. Once again learn your own skills easier than others. As a survivalist, you get survivalist perks, which in this case would be crafting perks. Lets just say you can build things that other classes/body types could not, atleast not without unlocking it, like a bow, traps, improvised knives etc. Militairy sounds quite obvious to me, very advanced in fighting skills, p.e doesn't get as much adrenaline as the rest when getting shot at, has a steadier aim, can handle guns faster, jamming is fixed easier etc. Casual civilian is just a civilian who is roundout casual. No special skills, learns everything in a casual way. Now I did mention things like jamming, crafting, experience gaining in order to unlock things etc. I'm hoping these functions will come too. Positive: Game gets extended features, everyone is very unique. Negative: Some might lack skills, other people might want to get everything. Last one; smoking cigarettes. Why? Very simple, smoking cigarettes would p.e reduce the adrenaline rushes your character gets when getting shot at immensively and your hands get steadier. It would reduce your hunger, but in return, you would get nicotine-addicted, and thus need sigarettes again in order to get calm hands and reduced adrenaline again. Adding to that, you would age faster. To quit, you'd have to find cigarette gums. Positive: Game gets extended and gets unique features compared to other survival games, making this one worth while. People who smoke in real life might also enjoy having their character smoke in-game. It looks badass, gives temporary boosts. Negative: Very time consuming to make and a small detail compared to the required work. - Give me some opinions lads, I took a good thirty minutes to write this, I'd appreciate your five minutes expressing your opinions. Once again, though, this is not for now. Just imagine when DayZ is all advanced, vehicles implemented, crafting nearly perfect, thousands of guns to be found, zombies completely fixed, and new features are needed, thats for when this is suggested.

Why 100+ Man servers will be amazing

Nowhere to hide bases. Nowhere to hide vehicles. Player pop will make overall item quantity low so more people simply killing others for the off chance they have something of worth in their clothes. Give us a bigger map and less uninspired cities and copy paste towns than I can see it working. Its a post apocalyptic world. You shouldn't be encountering others every five minutes. Also I imagine the cost for renting servers would be ridiculous.

    Do you love it?

I'm 31 and been playing online games since the age of 13 or so with online MUDs. In the last 8 years I haven't really seen a game to capture me like this one (Ultima Online was the last). DayZ has so much potential as a MMPOG to become a super addicting, large scale following type game. If it cleans up the bugs, adds features, keeps the balance of players right and keeps the game very difficult, it will do very well. The problem is, developers want to sell the most games, so they end up nerfing these games to become some sort of soft, easy, instant gratification play style which drives long term players away. Hopefully they don't make this mistake. Why is this game so good? Because it allows you the ultimate freedom to move about the world as you wish. You can role play or not. You can be evil or be good without declaring to some sort of preset fabricated "class". The momentary adrenaline rush and the 95% of boredom is something a lot of gamers thrive on. Searching 100 buildings to finally find that can of beans which keeps you alive... Where should it go? a) Instant death bugs need to be eliminated. b) A market system should be established, or the mechanism to do so, through very minimal in-game programming. (i.e. no safe zones) c) Vehicles should be very difficult to put together or make operational. d) Character reward based on living longer.

    Extra Handcuff Uses

So while I was running around as a fresh spawn, I happened upon a pair of handcuffs in a building, and immediately after exiting the building I got attacked by a zed. I threw up my arms and went fisticuffs with it, and lucky I was able to knock it out for a second. But as I wished I had a weapon to take it down, the idea of using the handcuffs still in my pants came to mind, and I thought to myself, "Why can't I handcuff zombies?" Suggestion: More Handcuff Uses! I'm going to give a small list of the things I think handcuffs should be able to be used for, and if it's something complicated, I will even try to give an example of how making the action happen would work. 1: Handcuffing zombies. Though it may seem silly, I can definitely see how this would have some recreational use. Picture this, you handcuff a zed you just knocked out, and when it comes to, it just runs up to you and starts wiggling in your face. I don't think the zeds would try to bite you (as I have never seen them bite in game before, but you never know with zeds...), and they would sort of be like the flood from the Halo series when you blow off their arms and they're still alive. They follow you around, they scream, they make noises, but ultimately can't hurt you. But pray tell, why would this be a good idea? Well, there are a few reasons: As a show of status. You "capture" a bunch of zeds and then bring them to your base (when building is implemented), and you show off to your friends your collection of pets. You could have handcuffed a large multitude of different types of zeds, one type of zed specifically, or only female zeds (giggity). Either way, you keep them all locked in a room somewhere, and you and your friends can watch them through a window. To save yourself. While unlikely that you would find handcuffs before a valid melee weapon with which to fight off the zed army, you could still do so if you had them at your disposal. You may have to tank a hit in order to put them on, but ultimately it might be worth it if it's just one troublesome zed... anymore, however, and you're kinda out of luck.A Companion. Hey, this game can be pretty crazy sometimes, so people handcuffing a zed or two to have as a buddy isn't as farfetched as you would think. The Crawlers. Those things use all four limbs, so imagine if you took away two! Can you imagine watching one of those things squirm around on the ground trying to gnaw at your ankles? Hilarious! 2: Handcuffing People to Things/Other People. Honestly I think this one is a bit more valid than handcuffing zombies, though with how the game works it may be a bit hard to actually pull off. But pretty much, the option to do this would be unique. If you had two guys up against one another, while against a fence, and you approached one or the area between them with handcuffs, it would then give you the option to handcuff them together, like this: Check Pulse Use Handcuffs Handcuff Together Handcuff To Yourself Handcuff To Fence As you can see, you can handcuff yourself to one, the two together, or one to the fence. Obviously you should try not to misclick on the "To Yourself" option, but the others would still be viable. While handcuffed with one hand, you would still be able to use any one-handed items like a pistol, knife, drink, food, ect. The only issue is one of your arms would turn rag-doll and always be drawn to the fence/other person! Also, when vehicles become a thing, handcuffing someone to the rear bumper of a vehicle and then speeding off would be a fun, and also hilarious way to kill someone. A whole new way to bandit! 3: Bling! This one's pretty dumb, but I thought of it, and I'm putting it out there. Handcuffing handcuffs to parts of your clothing, making a small jingle wherever you step, allowing you to believe you are the next vanilla ice before you sudden demise at the hands of some bloke with a mosin. That's about it. So, thoughts and ideas, everyone?
  12. ^^ the key here is, the game needs to be enjoyable and just as fair to new players as the veterans. Once the dedicated players basically own the servers and hoard all the loot, what chance do the new players or fresh spawns have? The mods are fun, but how fun is it really to not care about death in DayZ since you can run back to your base and just gear back up like its nothing? I agree...the clans/factions thing will probably get out of hand and end up monopolizing the game. I think team work and clans are cool, but people like me who lone-wolf it and enjoy scavenging, cooking in a fire, fishing in a pond, and basically surviving every day I log in and looting small towns for basic needs will be hard pressed to enjoy the game once servers are over run with capitalized clans having checkpoints at every decent loot spot. to be honest, as awesome of an idea vehicles are and as much as I look forward to fixing one up and having that feeling of accomplishment of owning one, I hope they are super hard to get running and very rare.. Maybe a lot of vehicles but rare parts or the opposite, lots of parts but rare vehicles (my choice). Its all speculation at this point so all we can really do is continue on through the months of updates and see whats in store for us..I quit every few months for a few months at a time..every time I come back I enjoy it just as much. That will be less the case if I know any time I come back I have to either join a clan or accept Ill never have anything better than a damaged screwdriver and an old pair of jogging pants.
  13. I think that there should be 100s of 'repairable' vehicles, but there should only be enough parts to fully repair like 10 or so, and maybe enough leftovers for say 20 partly repaired vehicles (missing windows/doors, hoods, leaky gastanks engines that don't always start right away, ect). Taking parts from non repairable and repairable vehicles should the the most common source of parts. But we'll see how things turn up when they actually add vehicles.

    Returning player

since you know the patch versioning ( .39, .40, .41, etc) go to youtube and search for things like 'dayz standalone .49' or something. People make videos of updated items and features. Im in the same boat. One of the biggest things now is temperature/sickness issues. zeds are back to normal as far as being easy to kill (yet can see better than a satellite in space!), and the loot on standalone servers with persistence on seem to be a hit or miss (sometimes no loot at all in an entire town after a restart). If you're back for vehicles or building, then might wanna take another hiatus. If you're back because you saw a youtube video or heard of it on a facebook ad like me and thought "man I miss that game!" then my suggestion is to literally just log in and start playing...if something doesn't work youtube it or hit the forums. Oh, fishing is pretty cool too if you can ever find a hook (and rope, ashwood sticks, then dig up worms for bait). Ive found 3 in one day then none since. Hit or miss I guess.

In short, no. Tents are in and persistence is switched on on selected servers, but it doesn't work properly as of now. Vehicles are in the works - first one will be a lorry. Barricading is also in the works - details are thin so far.
  16. Mack674

    Returning player

Yeah , cause thats exactly what I wanted to avoid doing - navigating through pages and pages of patch updates but thanks for taking the 15 seconds to type a helpful response. By the way: NOT FOUND The beans you are looking for are not here. Thanks for the link I guess. Let me make this easier - Are there any working vehicles, camp construction, barricading, tents and server wide persistence yet ?
  17. Karmaterror

Why 100+ Man servers will be amazing

Right now it would seem like more players would be great. But those numbers with persistence and vehicles, forget camping and vehicles....that's all outa the window lol. Vehicles will probs spend 90% of there time waiting to respawn, and a tent you put up will last all of an hour. When the map does light up with cars, bikes, trucks ect I feel 30-40 gives a perfect balance of seeing other players but not all over the place. If I meet someone in every town it looses the apocalypse feel, how many people survived anyway? If 100 in a size of land like Chernarus, globally? That's not an apocalypse....just a planet wide riot :) Still bring it on....might drive the cost of a lower slot server down :D
  18. I thought about that too, but, I just think it would balance better this way, it being "meta gamed" was also a problem, hicks pointed out that vehicle repair parts could be duped and/or horded to one server, though I think those problems would be solved other ways anyway (like vehicle parts not being server transferable or something) this would help it. Gas wouldn't actually be that rare in my suggestion, it would just be dangerous to collect. You would have to go around siphoning the broken vehicles (I think I said 50-100 broken vehicles in the thread, I'd change that to like, 100-300 and 50ish random spawn ones), This would be the dangerous because of zombies and players, you're an open target while you're collecting. each car should give anywhere between 1/10th and 1/2 a jerry can, halves being less common. and a small car would take like 2/3 jerrys to fill. The thing making fuel rare though, would not be from lack of it, but from a lack of jerry cans, they should be rare. If you only have one jerry can then you can only store one jerry can worth of gas. This means when you're car starts to run low you have to make multiple "Gas runs" increasing the risk. you could still get those little plastic gas cans but they don't hold much but you could fit them in your bag. It would likely end up squads of people guarding the gas runners as they fill these little canisters and put them in there bags. then run back to the car and fill it + any jerry cans they have. any numbers or amounts are simply place holder to give an idea of what it would be like, don't base opinions on those cause they aren't certain :)
  19. >I think your misunderstanding the people who play this game :P > >They're never going to be that hard to maintain, not for a group of four buddies one guy can just carry all the car related stuff, another the driver and the other two AKM's. It's only going to be possible to take people in cars out who are heading towards you if they can't shoot back, which would just be a lame thing to not include. To operate the car and a gun you would need 2 guys, one driving one shooting. The shooter should be fairly exposed though he should have the option to duck in the car. >The problem is you can't run away from a car at least guys you could get away from but if you're anywhere out in the open at all you're utterly screwed. Then, the question is what the fuck where you out in the open for? :D >*snip* Where would people be finding all the 30-50 cal rounds for a mounted machine gun anyway. They wouldn't. That's the point, the rounds would be so rare you'd only use them if you had too. Besides, a mounted gun could just be an AKM and drum mag, or an RPK, doesn't have to be anything drastic. (imagine the passenger seat next to the driver, there could be one mounted on the dashboard and another place would be the rear (a hole cut in the roof above the back seats). Hell, don't even make them mounted for all I care, just let us cut holes in things and "Set" our guns up on them. The only advantage mounting guns would give is less recoil which isn't really necessary. >Another thing is that they'd make it far too easy to handle zombies besides a barricaded base nothing should effectively make you invincible against them. I agree, Large amounts of zombies should be able to effectively counter vehicles. For example hitting zombies should slow down your cars speed and/or damage it. if you try drive through 10 zombies at slow speed they should be able to slow/stop the car making you have to get out and kill them or "wiggle" the car free (I can see that being AWESOME in arma /s). That or they can damage vehicles. Plus a fully armored poorly maintained vehicle should guzzle fuel, meaning you've gotta go around siphoning gas tanks and stuff for fuel (the fuel stations shouldn't work like they used to). So there is another opportunity for people to take these vehicles out. If there were 2 people in the vehicle group it would be possible for one guy to take them both out, easy for 2 coordinated guys. If there where 3 people in the vehicle group 1 guy would really struggle, 2 coordinated guys should be able to handle it and 3 coordinated guys wouldn't have a problem. But they'd all have to be coordinated and it depends on how good the vehicle group is. Also, wouldn't tonnes of broken cars be tougher on the server than tonnes of static items and a few cars?
  20. Before I start, I would like to make 1 thing clear. I understand that KOS will always be a part of the game. But right now it is out of control, simply because people get bored. My idea for this thread is us, the community, can compile a list of ideas/suggestions to help prevent and lessen KOS. By this, I mean what are some things the devs can add to the game to help lessen the amount of KOS out there? Any ideas are welcome. I will start off the list with a few ideas, the rest will be provided by you guys. This thread will be small at the beginning, as of right now it is under construction and needs support. 1: Endgame content-things to do after you are already geared up that will give objectives besides simply to kill. -base building-build a base to survive in (confirmed) -vehicles-get a vehicle of some sort running (confirmed) -generators-provide electricity to a house, base, town, etc. -more zombies-zombies actually be threat, make it near suicide to fire a shot in a large city (somewhat confirmed) - - - - 2:... Hopefully by what we come up with this thread can help give the devs some ideas, and help everyone in general to help prevent and lessen Kos. We all know it will never be gone, but right now it is out of control, simply because there is nothing else to do, and there is no punishment. Thanks for reading, and post any ideas you have! anything reasonable will be added to list!
  21. I like the idea of cars spawning crashed into trees, burnt, etc. However, I think the majority of vehicles should be salvageable. By this, I mean I could find a truck missing engine parts, only has 2 wheels, the body is rusted to shit, and the windows are all broke out, but it should still be able to be repaired. very hard, but do-able. I think that there should be about 15 complete cars on a server, not including gas. I like the idea of cars being remotely common, but gasoline being the rarer factor. gas would almost turn into a currency of sorts, clans would want large stashes of it, etc.
  22. I think you're misunderstanding the people who play this game :P They're never going to be that hard to maintain, not for a group of four buddies one guy can just carry all the car related stuff, another the driver and the other two AKM's. It's only going to be possible to take people in cars out who are heading towards you if they can't shoot back, which would just be a lame thing to not include. The problem is you can't run away from a car at least guys you could get away from but if you're anywhere out in the open at all you're utterly screwed. I'm not saying no to cars at all but mounted guns and armoured vehicles would just be ridiculous. Where would people be finding all the 30-50 cal rounds for a mounted machine gun anyway? Another thing is that they'd make it far too easy to handle zombies besides a barricaded base nothing should effectively make you invincible against them.
  23. No sir. I spend all day helping the people who constantly ask for help and there is a lot of people who constantly ask for help. Most the hobos have donated yes, but they do not ask for hardly any help and once again like the conversation last night they were not breaking any rules. In fact you were the one who was breaking the number one rule. The hobos are one of my largest groups and they actually help out and give other people help, vehicles, help those complete missions and so on. You must have done something to get on their bad side, and so you know the hobo who was killing you last night has not donated anything. Just a normal player without a load out or anything, and I am sorry but donors do not get special favors, they do not get information they, do not get locations or anything, they get what they pay for and that is all, you can’t pay for extra skills on the server you can’t pay for admin rights you can’t pay for admin protection or base protection or any of those things. Any player has the right to sit at their base and constantly shoot whoever comes around, and yes even if that includes being in cherno. It’s part of the map. I have spawn select so you could have chosen to leave the whole thing alone and spawn on the other side of the map. Instead you kept calling names, you kept egging them on, and you kept spawning in and getting shot. I am sorry you had a bad experience and if you decide to come on again I hope that it doesn’t go that direction again. But remember it’s a game and its dayz. Some players like to kill more than other plays and you can’t get angry at being shot or camped when near someone’s base. My rules on the server are very min… and very simple. I will post them again so you can read them sense you didn’t read them before. Server Rules: No whining It’s DayZ You Die – you were breaking Keep shit talk to a min – you were talking a lot more crap then them No Racism No Raging, It’s DayZ – A Game – you were raging pretty hard DayZ has Bug’s and Glitch’s No camping major trader cities – doesn’t say anything about other places on map No stealing in major trader cities (vehicles included) No leaving vehicles in trader cities (Bash, Klen, and Stary) Do not trust anyone Do not talk in side You can build anywhere – see you can build in cherno You can raid any base No Duping, Glitching or Hacking Thanks and enjoy

Standalone to mod? Sell it to me.

COD with zombies lol yeah there are a few version that are kinds like that like epoch or overpoch.but if you find a vanilla dayz server its really good, there are vehicles and bikes and heli's but you still end up running and walking(you have to find and fix the vehicles)once you get a car you then have to keep gas in it and worry about hiding the damn thing so it might show some folks what your in for when SA adds vehicles though I assume in SA it going to be a lot harder/stressfull which I'm all for.

    The First Dayz DLC....

OK, OK....booooo....no one can get behind the guy who made Chernarus making us an epic snow map....bunch of lamers :P Survival mechanics specific to that environment A brand new map we never seen before Cloths, vehicles, weapons to suit the region New Animals to suit the region Game lifespan.... the additions to chernarus are awesome, but soon enough you will have visited every town and city. It wont feel so fresh 12 months after release. So say they give it 18-24 months after then hit us with all of the above :D Maybe im just thinking waaaaay too far ahead lol :)
