OK.. so I've looked through many many servers and I have yet to find one like the old one I use to play on... I'm looking for a server that has some sort of Static Missions (For example a Large Bandit Stronghold, with loot respawning every restart where players can get top tier items like Javalins, Briefs, .50 cal...etc...) and some type of Static resource that players can collect and sell (not guns) to earn money..(Like a Weed Harvesting area, or Mining area). Also being able to quickly get somewhere as soon as you join (like deploying a Mozzie after you gather all the parts needed)... Walking Zombies would also be a plus, but not a deal breaker.... Honestly I'm just tired of the usual run around and do missions to earn money gameplay that all servers seem to have now. That pretty much just makes it so whoever has the fastest vehicles (ones that have been on the server for a while) gets the loot...

hello all im new to Arma 2 so i plan to play the Arma 2 Campaign and mess with the Editor for a while till i'm familiar with all the Controls Guns and Vehicles then i will join the world of Arma2 DayZ hope to kill or befriend some of you "Crazy" Survivors Peace out and kick ass :thumbsup: B) :thumbsup:

CQC Australian Lingor Overpoch CQC is a brand new Australian based DayZ team. The server started on 25/07/2014. General Info: The Server is a fully Dedicated Box with the capability of running 2 full 50 slot servers and 100 slot TS3 server, which means there is room for improvement and additions. Since we are a new server we have been going free "Suv Camo's" to new players to help them out including 1 more extra starter kit on top of already free starter kit. Hello there. People call me Mortem. I recently bought and have a fully functional Dayz Overwatch server on Chernarus. It runs a private Hive and a white listing system. I'm currently looking for people that feel dedicated and serious about Roleplaying in a post apocalyptic world. I Already got a admin crew for the server. We manage to get everything to work so far. Vehicles Spawn. Gear and zombies spawn. We also managed to put down custom bases on the server. We currently got two newly formed Factions that attempt to bring some kind of order to the world. Both have there own unique base and play style. We accept any kind of people both veteran or new. We do not have any large requirements except that you follow the rules and take Roleplay seriously. Main Rule is No KOS. Have legitimized reasons to kill someone. You can read all that up on the Forum. Were only had the server up for around two days. To join all you do is post a small application with the format on the forum. We got someone checking for new Posts every day. You are also welcome to apply to join either of the Faction. What exactly changed about the melee combat in .47 stable?

They changed the melee system because axes were over powered. It was very hard to kill an axe murderer that was running at you, because they ran inhumanely fast. This is because the sprint speed is set extremely high to compensate for the crazy distances players need to traverse without vehicles. Axes were so OP that I would pull one out in close quarters, even if I had end game gear. It was the first item I searched for, and I immediately started hunting other players with it, because it's all I needed. If you got a player with a weapon on the run, it was only a matter of time before you caught him, because you ran with your axe equally as quick as he did with his gun. As soon as he stopped/turned/slipped up, he would die. The guns in Dayz are clunky and unreliable at extremely close ranges. It is nothing like, say, CS:GO where a player with a knife would be punished severely by a gun. With a gun in Day Z you would most likely miss every shot you fired at a player sprinting horizontally across your screen. With all that said, they have made the changes they have made to stop the axe from being the single greatest close quarters combat weapon. It's no longer possible to run a gun wielder down with an axe. They have changed it so your axe must be in the raised position to swing, and you move more slowly in the raised weapon position. If you are moving, your axe swings higher than your crosshair. If you are standing still, your axe swings below the crosshair. This means that while running, you need to stare at your opponents feet to make contact, and while standing still you need to stare at the sky. It is entirely stupid, and broken, but it does accomplish what Bohemia wanted to accomplish, in a really sad, pathetic, way. There has always been a raise weapon feature, but up until now it's had no effect; at least with melee weapons, which suggests that they always meant to implement some sort of raised weapon mechanic and they hadn't quite yet gotten it down. They still haven't. I prefer the old system. At least it was better than this. -
Maybe in the future but I feel we don't explore Chenarus (however it's spelt) enough. It's a massive, massive map and it's so easy to get lost. It's part of our plan now, not to spend so much time killing people in Berezino but to actually get out and see some more of the massive map. Personally, maps is the least of the problems and I'd like to see more development on fixing some of the bugs and introducing more features like vehicles, more weapons, etc.

Would be interesting if they are still going to add in Utes, though that might lead to clans hording vehicles on islands. Not sure if the engine could currently handle this either, since right now people can't 'roam' around vehicles, but again they are making changes to the engine so it might be possible.

Gee I'm glad most of this is discussed in feet, because stops me from thinking further about the "x feet drop lethal" statements. uselessunits.stopit. Anyhow - I voted no. Not because I think the falling damage works well, but because I think that many of us have learned to use various workarounds to avoid it. There are other things that are harder to just ignore imo. Melee hit direction, vehicles, diseases, cold effects and such will do much more for my game experience than fixing falling damage. I'll just keep not stepping off the stairs outside the apartment buildings.

Manipulating fall damage can be done quite easily. They should definitely decrease it until the glitches are fixed. Until we have flying vehicles fall damage doesn't affect gameplay all that much, in my opinion.

A good idea, you should also be able to use smaller branches in conjunction with hats, helmets, and some weapons to break up profiles. Vehicles too when they're added. A little camouflage could be a fun thing.

We won't see cars in the next update. It's been confirmed that the first vehicles they'll add to SA are bikes. So even if they released vehicles in the next patch (which is highly doubtful) that's a no. -

Lets make it so people don't fall over dead randomly before we put in vehicles... I was running to meet a few friends that were freshspawns at the factory on the coast, and I happened to be listening to dubstep (First mistake) so when the bass dropped in the song, my character dropped dead. (magically breaking legs yay!) -

ahumsigh, really, what do you think? No, with all the bugs and stuff, you want cars already? Pfff, we can be EXCITED if we had a BICYCLE. Which is possible, I guess. Maybe in two updates or so. I thought that they said that they are working on vehicles, so there is some hope. -

This game would be fantastic if it was possible to build or repair some vehicles. Please provide any vehicle, any mediocre vehicle: bikes, wheelbarrow, rickshaw, skateboard, skates. Any vehicle added today would make this game be fantastic and would make the community very happy. sry for my bad english.

Mostly great ideas. Only have 2 things to say. 1: We don't need nearly that many military vehicles. Those should be rare, and only more common things such as Humvee's, trucks, etc. We don't need tanks and BTR's in-game. You wouldn't find any of those laying around in real zombie apocalypse. 2: I think there should be several different types of ATV's. 4 wheelers, 3 wheelers, off-road bikes, etc. All I saw on the list was standard 4 wheeler.

HAHAHAHAHAHA, you're a funny guy. We were talking about the 50 cal, which is probably too big that it will ever appear in DayZ, but you're taking the .700 Nitro Express as a reference, are you kidding me? For everyone who doesn't know what a .700 Nitro Express is, here is a picture: We are talking about a bullet, which could be used to shoot down airplanes or penetrate amored vehicles, it generates 20,000 J of force (for comparison M4 ammo has 1,700 J of force). So, please get a reference with a 50 cal, then we can keep talking. BTW, I'm not sure if this bullet would knock the target back, because again, the ammount of energy which is put on the body is only the ammount it needs for the bullet to penetrate the body, which is only a small fraction of the energy this bullet has. In the video ALL the energy is put on the shooter, so that's why it knock them back.

You can't find any jeeps anywhere in Chenarus. Jeep is an American off-road vehicle brand. The cars that you call jeeps are UAZ-469, Soviet and later Russian made off-road vehicles.
