Crashed a vehicle on a post and ruined everything. Walked away for about 2 minutes to scout out a place to drop a tent to put gear. When I returned the whole thing had despawned along with all my gear. So annoying. This is happened to me pre-1.0 but everything was going so well since yesterday... 😞

I think we should have some cars(NOT ALL CARS) in the servers that are fully ready to go and driveable. In real life in a zombie apocolypse there would be SOME running vehicles im sure of it... not every vehicle you run into would need all the components/parts. Just seems like it takes forever to put a car together and im sure that nobody else drives the cars either because of this... especially if youre just a solo player Let me know what you guys think?

Players should be able to drape the camo net over vehicles to hide them in the woods. I think this would be a realistic use of the netting without being too overpowered.

I am really torn for what I would like to see in DayZ next year. On one hand, seeing the return of legacy/no-longer-spawning content and game mechanics would make me happy, and I am sure that the devs will continue to bring things back as they have previously. Things like the Improvised Short Bow, all the various melee weapons, spray paint and vehicles like the V3S and the Bus coming back would be cool. On the other hand, I would like to see improvements to base building. Not just more things to play with, but changes to how the base building meta works currently I would appreciate. Those looking to turn abandoned buildings into their bases should be able to do so without using a big ass gate that swings through the building mesh and requires a whole demolition squad to break into. I honestly do not believe that base building belongs in DayZ period; however, since we have it, I think the devs can observe the current meta and make it fit into the game world better with some additions. Curious to see what the future holds. For what has been accomplished now, though, the devs deserve a pat on the back. Simply incredible seeing how far this game has come since 2014.

I want to see in 2024 all vehicles from 0.59 patch (all V3Ss, Kamaz (aka Zamak - it's Truck_02), Vans and lovely old Icarus Bus (current model has no city version and only the transit version); all missed wepons: PKM, M249, Red9 (Mauser C96), PM RAK; Grenade launchers: LAW, RPG-7, M203 (for M4-A1 & M16-A2), GP-25 (that could be attached to AKM, AK-74, AK-101), Muzzle grenades for SKS coz in game we can find the Ugo SKS; ability to attach bayonets to SVD, M14 (DMR), FAL (all 3 rifles can carry the bayonets, but devs don't give a heck about it that's why I still don't understand do they don't read the books or youtube is blocked for EU? But i bet that we don't see all of it in 2024. So happy anniversary and wasted money!

This, along with last year, have been especially slow in comparison to what Rust and Scum devs have added to their games. After reading the "2023 in review", and seeing a couple key places words, I'm really hoping you guys get around to adding to, or completely updating Base Building....if you look at what the above mentioned survival games have, your competition, you'd see our current 2 individual piece "base building" selection, is terrible. To map additions, why hasn't Utes Island been added to the south sea miles off the southern coast of Skalisty Island like promised yet? Would be a great spot for a (promised) helicopter or plane to spawn. Would also be a nice way to try to get out to Utes Island by a newly added (promised) boat. It would also be nice, to extend the northern region of the Chernarus Plus map, to include the Black Mountain Range along with snow from the Biathlon Arena all the way to Berezhki and above, with a frozen biome up there...if a single guy can create a custom separate biome (Benni for Deerisle), I know you guys can. Now besides the 20+ still missing weapons (firearm, melee, bow, and non-lethal) and still missing S1023 minivan, Multicar, Bus, Tractor, Dirt Bike and Enduro, Command and Uncovered Stake Body V3S/M3S.... we're still missing those promised helicopters and boats (and plane)....if Nightwolf can have Arma 3 flying quality in DayZ SA, and RedFalcon can have fantastic performing boats.... I don't understand why you guys still haven't held up to your previous promises to return them....they, those modded vehicles, work better than your vanilla cars. To a much speculated DLC map.... I'd highly suggest a Tanoa port, along with our boats and helicopters of course. Ok, rant over.

The vehicles on my server appear to be stuck in the ground, resulting in them exploding when a player enters and killing them. The vehicle is also destroyed. Is there a fix for this ?

Vehicles have come a LONG way since alpha. But they still have a ways to go. Vehicle damage needs some fine tuning. Just a couple of days ago, I'm driving along, not even that fast, maybe 50 kph, coming around a bend and hit the tiniest little lag spike and BOOM, hit a trail marker totaling my vehicle. If that were real life, that trail marker would have been toast and my bumper would have a dent. Now, I could understand hitting a tree, power pole, wall, rock, etc, going a bit faster would instantly kill your engine, but apart from that we need more than just two options with hitting something. Right now, you hit anything, it either does nothing, or completely kills your car. I know there are plans to implement a similar system to what we had in alpha with the tire repair kits, making use of battery chargers and electrical repair kits, but, in the mean time, can we just turn down the damage? Additionally, it would be nice to see destructible objects for things like those pesky trail markers, all the rails and pickets of all those various fences, all those road signs, and probably some other, commonly hit, roadside objects. There's just far too much lag on servers right now and putting vehicle positioning client side would just be a security issue, so, something needs to be done. But, until then, can we get those trail makers collisions removed?
