Hero skins have bullet proof vests?!

The trick to be honest, is not rewarding all sides equally as human's we'll take the easier route, its easier to bandit plane and simple. To add balance to the game the rewards have to be spread out to make them work getting. As of now AS 50 + ghillie = best bandit set up. (Back up L85A2). If bandits =do get less recoil and such well then. That mechanic would be a bit much because that -does- help against people, and zombies if you get mushed in a corner and have to shoot.

A reward system shouldn't give too much of a perk reguardless. Balancing them isn't easy. It would come down to what gives people the best bonus, playstyle be damned. I currently have 5k humanity or so, I run around with a few friends, each of them play differently as well. Having a reward based on what you do could be interesting but the bonus would have to be very very small to keep things balanced. As likely if a BPV is actually in affect on a hero, he takes less zombie damage -most- likely. Which to me is the biggest benefit -if- present at all. I've dove behinde people to pick up zombie aggro from them to run them around. +2 cents

The ghillie suit seems to have the same effect. I shot a friend in the chest whilst he was wearing one, and he took no damage what so ever, aside from being in shock.

And if heroes get bullet proof vests then bandits should get something equally useful for being good at killing players.

Except that its not even that hard to kill players in this game.

Being a bandit is MUCH easier than being a hero. That's why there are so many bandits. If hero's get a slight edge it could only even out the playing field.

SO many bandits? There are hardly any bandits. You're talking about murderers, not bandits.

I knew about the speed bit but they have resistance to damage too?

Won't affect me since I snipe for the head anyway, but that's still extremely stupid. What kind of sandbox game punishes a particular gameplay style?

Honestly I've not been terribly impressed with most of the latest features that have been added and discussed. Would rather bugs be fixed rather than adding new problems.

How many shots from a makarov or m9 to the chest does it take to kill a guy? Exactly. It's not much of a benefit at all. If you come face to face with a guy with nothing but a makarov you don't really stand a chance anyway. The bandit weapon of choice is still going to kill the hero in one shot. Quit whining.

Why fix bugs when they should be working on the standalone? I'd rather the standalone be polished than this bloody mod that's plagued with hackers.

I'd be happy with Hero's getting an added edge.

Maybe extra blood so they have a better chance of survival. Anything that would make the game less punishing to be good would be an improvement IMO.

This isn't punishing anybody. It is rewarding some. We are not talking about bullet proof or speedy Gonzalez here. It probably equates to an extra couple metres every 10 seconds, if it is even true.

Anyway, why do Skiddie snipers need to run? They just spend all day sitting on their fat arses on sniper hill, shooting noobs and heroes.

Not an experiment, not a test, nothing. See? Being a "bandit" finally has balanced downsides, and being a hero has its upsides. Bandits get shot on sight, and heroes are bulletproof. Let's go, rocket! :thumbsup: (no sarcasm)

Grand Theft Auto, Mercenaries, True Crime: Streets of LA, Sleeping Dogs, Saboteur, Fallout, The Sims...

You know, I've been playing with the 'Hero Skin' for two days now, I regularly hook up with the regular players on my server to help them out. I'm more of a Co-Op player, less of a PvPer, certainly this doesn't mean I won't get a window to see through my chest when the 20+ other regular players wearing ghillie suit shoot my ass with a AS50.

As for the run faster thing? Sure, fine, lets just have the people cry about how this is apparently a way to punish everyone else. I guess people forget about the fact, when dealing with snipers:

I've been killed by snipers twice already with my handy-dandy 'Hero Skin', and I literally get told - because asshats with .50 caliber rifles like to brag - the 'Hero Skin' is shit because anyone who shoots first and asks questions never will just blow away the nice guy.

So fine, sure, keep crying you bandits, I just fail to see how all of this debate as to how this makes the Hero Skin more powerful. If anything, it's been getting my ass shot more often.

Its a balance. Hero's dont get the luxury of killing people and stealing their stuff
