They want more control over the official servers from my understanding. The intention is that you have just bought the game and you join an official server it will ran by the makers of the game. A genuine experienced rather than some potentially doctored unofficial public server.

I bandaged someone and got their friends axe in the back of my head. Then there are people who just say hello and disappear but it is as you say, essentially a deathmatch, a survival game. DayZ just has additional considerations and many ways to play. It is DayZ, the fear is real and part of the game, some would say the best part. Solo I find can be pretty harsh, at the very least 4 eyes are better than two.

bah, whose bothered about someone else RP lols. If the victim wants the experience they have a choice. I have limited game time and I'd prefer to spend it creating a new life time.

Entirely my own opinion. Figured it was implied given this is a forum but I guess I could've worded that better. It has a bit to to do with my rig, perhaps I'll need to upgrade before Beta. My point was, same settings, same rig, pre 0.62, I could play at +15 fps than I do now. Given that I'd drop to 15fps on US servers in CQC pre patch I couldn't afford to lose anymore. Obviously I need to make a decision to upgrade my GPU or whether anything I'm playing at the moment is not worth the expense.

So no longer possible with 0.62 ? (the release Adam mentions in the above source)

Was a struggle getting the frames to play before but had it resolved the best I could, however 0.62 seems to have a halved those efforts (dropping resolution, windowed mode saw me at 30fps, same setting now is 10-15. gawdamnit.

It just happens. my mind clouds over and I lose all sense of reason and conscience then I black out completely. When I wake up from wherever I find myself in the middle of field, sprawled out in the midday sun wondering how the Fahrenheit I got there. There's blood on my clothes and my stomach feels satisfied. edit can't spell no good

Anyone with half a life will get over this by the end of the week. Who ever else is still still worried about after that just has an axe to grind and still gets dressed by their mothers.
