Hopes are like flag-poles. The more time you spend getting them up, the greater your disappointment when they come down. If the announcement doesn't come from Rocket, then it's heresy (or hearsay). Even if you hear it from Rocket, add a few weeks to the lead time. Either way, patience is a virtue.

I heard the 6th too for 1.7.2.3. Honestly though, it could be anytime, maybe it'll come during the American daytime, but who knows. Probably whenever he wakes up and pushes the big red button :).

Did you guys actually read the post? It didn't say it was coming out on the 6th. It said Rocket was getting back from PAX on the 6th so it definitely wouldn't be before that date. It would be great if it came out today, I think that's pretty unlikely though.

IIRC, someone noted that Rocket gets back from his marketing appearances today and surmised this would be the earliest he would release it. I think he needs a bit more time, probably hasn't finished unpacking yet!

Yep. As expected, as midnight rolls around people are already starting the "how about now? now? maybe now?" Today will be filled with several new threads about "it's coming today!" "Man I hope it's today" "Rocket better release it today or else <something dumb>".

Then, as midnight approaches tomorrow, people will start raging out about how the mods "lied" and Rocket "lied". All because they *demanded* an ETA that couldn't be given and are incapable of reading the response. Ugh.

I guess this means we can expect "Really - Part 3" from Captain Self-Entitled himself later on.
