Rocket actually put his blessing on the first Hunger Games event after the fact, going so far as to say he may even give them one of the smaller ARMAII maps (a custom build if you will) to the original orchestrators. He said it during one of IGN's Up at Noon interviews, I believe, just before or after Gamescom. I know precious else about it, but it could turn out well.

That IS your problem. My Galaxy S2 lags with 100MB of RAM still available out of 512, And this game will lag you like a SOB if you push you comp to its limits. Turn down your textures for starters, thats where all your RAM goes. See if that fixes it.

I heard the 6th too for 1.7.2.3. Honestly though, it could be anytime, maybe it'll come during the American daytime, but who knows. Probably whenever he wakes up and pushes the big red button :).

Look on top of hills, especially named ones. Kustryk and Leshnoy Krevitz (E of Stary) are common. Check up by Guba in the woods, east of the NE AF, Pobeda Dam, Skalka (tents are located behind the rocks on the hill), west of Zelen, etc. The border of the map used to be cool, but most people figured out that others would drive along the *line* looking inwards for tents, and moved em ~1km in from the borders. Not sure if tent cities still exist outside of map boundaries (I've never tried to set one up out there). Good luck

A few days ago a hacker came and teleported all vehicles to a field north of Stary Sobor. That created some interesting moments, to be sure. It was a couple days of excitement around that neck of the woods, and for Giggles I pushed a boat with the V3s down into a Stary tent. BTW, boats can do some serious stunts, much like an ATV when you hit them, except boats dont blow up when they crash back to earth. I think our next event will be Vehicle Soccer using a boat.

Props to the guy above surviving 54 days. But overall, wipe the tents. My campsites are respawning full of AS 50s, Ghillies, NVGS, etc. I can re-gear any time I need to, and it shouldn't be that way. Wipe the hive of ALL tents, and let people keep what they have on their person. At the same time, fix the duping tents, otherwise this will happen all over again.

There's so much fail in this thread. 99% of people with vehicles are NOT hackers, and the theory that only a handful are on the server is ridiculous. Theres usually 2 Motorcycles, 2 4x4 pickups, One UAZ (car), UAZ (Russian 4x4), GAZ, hatchback, URAL, V3s, 5-6 bikes(maybe more), 1 PBX (5-6 crap boats too) and aprroximately 6-8 ATVs. Plus a chopper. I'm forgetting some I'm sure, but thats the majority of them. The other day a hacker teleported all vehicles (and people that were inside vehicles) to one spot... needless to say, Chaos ensued. Vehicle owners/hoarders are NOT USUALLY hackers. If you still believe they are you need to reevaluate your DayZ skills, as you probably suck. Why? Hackers don't need vehicles, and most of them either are there to create stupid scenarios for their amusement (Thunderdome, weapon crates, Ghost hauntings/Green mountain hauntings) be it *good* or bad. They can easily teleport around and are usually invincible. I'm sure I'll take some heat for this, but people need to stop crying about their suckiness, or find a new server. P.S 2-3 tractors, and 2-3 buses as well on top of all the other vehicles spawn. Just remembered.

DayZ can come to Consoles, however I hope they do NOT come to this current generation, because its on its last legs. MAYBE bring it to the WiiU, as I think it would work well with the touchscreen Gamepad (much like ZombiU utilizes it), but the question remains whether or not it could support 40-50 players, let alone run the game. Developing it for PS3 or 360 at this point would be a waste of time. People would buy it, but I believe the 720 will be out by Christmas 2013, and the PS4 or be out sometime 2nd-3rd Quarter 2014. AS for Cross-platform, there's no way it could work. PC players would destroy their Console counterparts as it stands right now, even if Console players were given Aim assist. Better performance, higher draw distances, more precision, etc. The PC version would have to be dumbed down significantly to be compatible, and at BEST, would only be compatible with the 360/720. As for 360-PS3 compatibility, it wouldn't work either. Controllers are too different, and it would be a logistical nightmare to network between the two, if not impossible. Each console would have to have its own community, and I don't think at this time there's that kind of support from the Console lovers out there to achieve that. Honestly, if it were me I'd push the PC standalone for about a year and hopefully have it hit 2 million players+. I'd then re-evaluate the console market to see if the 720/PS4 are released and current market reception to a DayZ game on them. However, I would keep an eye on the WiiU... yes its not known for its hardcore audience, but they may be receptive to a brand new *revolutionary* experience, as that's what Nintendo strives to achieve. Whatever happens, I hope Rocket and Co don't pull a DICE and switch primarily to the Console market as their gaming audience, leaving the PC players to dumbed down/secondhand experiences.

This is another interview with Dean Hall on IGN's Youtube show, Up at Noon that came out a few hours ago. Here's the link: The interview starts at 7:30 into the video. Nothing revolutionary revealed, however he did bring up "The Hunger Games" event that was orchestrated about 10 days ago, and said he might contribute a specific build to those guys of DayZ. Honestly, I hadn't even heard of that event until now, and the idea sounds cool, but it sounded like from the few forum posts about it that it kind of failed. Edit: Rocket saying that he was linking a BBC person to a 4Chan post on how to install it was hilarious. I did not like Greg's little rant leading up to it, though.

Typically I hide bodies, especially if its high quality stuff and I'm already geared. Ill take what I want, and hide it. If its in a populated area or somewhere on the coast I dont want to linger long as he could easily spawn nearby, find an Enfield, and plop me. Last time I was being a dick with an L85 I was Enfield-Sniped, and the guy took my stuff but didnt hide my body, leaving his Enfield there. I spawned nearby, found my body, grabbed the Enfield, saw him running back towards my body, and I ended him. He didnt even have the L85 out, instead he had a pistol. Got everything back except my Ghillie. I know the same can happen to me, so I *usually* hide all bodies of people I kill.

Lies. Crash sites and other players + a group of 4, 6 isnt astronomical. Is that tent stuck in 1.7.2.5 respawn mode? yes. 5 for sure were found legitamtely, and we moved a couple before the tents went to shit. I took one from another tent awhile ago and just stuck it back in there to see if it saves now. I have NEVER intentionally duped anything. BTW, that campsite isnt there anymore.

Ive got 6 AS 50s, Couple 107s, SVD (or two), LMGs, yada yada yada. All were from crash sites or PVP, and none are TWS. Earlier tonight I actually killed a guy with a TWS, and hid his body, destroying his Thermal n00b cannon forever. I will PVP on a regular basis; however I will never use a hacked weapon.
