I think it would be kind of interesting if regenerating blood were experimented with. Obviously, it would have to regenerate VERY slowly(like, real-time hours I mean). Do you think it should be implemented? Do you think it's a good idea? A horrible one?

This game needs more stuff from call of duty

That's not what I meant. Did you read the poll? I said it should take an entire Hour MINIMUM. Not five seconds.

It's not from Call of Duty per say, but real life. If you lose blood, and get bandaged, guess what? You gain that blood back. Science yo.

I've never really been fond of games where health regeneration happens for no apparent reason, ie. Battlefield and Call of Duty. Implementing it here would completely destroy the point of carrying blood bags and even scavenging entire villages or hunting animals repeatedly for food, careless of whether it happens over one or six hours. It doesn't belong, imo.

ONLY if bllod did not instantly return with food, this is crazy how I can nearly die then just find a cow....

I actually think the game would be much harder if you could not recover blood through eating, but instead had to wait to heal, like you do in reality.

I even think a blood transfusion should only give back a couple thousand blood.

I'm not opposed to the idea but I don't think it's necessary with the current mechanics for regaining blood. If transfusions gave a fixed amount (less than full) of blood and food gave nothing (or less than now) then I think there would be a place for regenerating blood. It should be pretty slow and at this stage I'd only link it to blood amount, and perhaps food/water - blood regen makes you hungry/thirsty faster or something.

Regeneratioon should be slow (days rather than hours). Blood transfusions are kind of a gimick, but maybe they should stay to give people a way to speed up the healing process (one every 6 hours would get your blood back in a day). Similarly, a broken legs should give you some problems for days. I don't think you should be able to shrug off serious injury with a few button clicks

Slowly regenerating is as hardcore as it gets. The present system of applying a field bandage and getting a mate to squirt blood into you is gamey

It's so funny how many people think health regenerating, and in this case regaining blood (Which happens in real life) they find ridiculous, but eating to get your blood back up to full is just fine. It would be much better if the system had an overhaul entirely, where sodas didn't fill your thirst as much, and drinking them made it drain faster. Eating cans of food only slightly filled you up compared to cooked meat. Blood platelets should definitely multiply. If you think it's ridiculous, please find your local bridge and do us a favor. =|

You make blood every day IRL in your long bones in your legs, so I would agree with very slowly regenerating blood levels.

I think it would be a better system than what's there now. Do away with instant heals except (maybe) with blood transfusions.

If it were me, I'd set it up so that if you're in a neutral state, nothing wrong with you, but not well fed and watered, you'd regen around 1500 blood an hour. If you keep your food and water topped up, you'd regenerate at a rate of around 2500 blood an hour.

Instead of having blood transfusions instantly heal you, boost the regen so it only takes you an hour or so to fill up from empty.

VERY VERY slowly, but okay. 1 blood per 3 seconds = 10 hours to go from 1 to 12000 blood. That is fair.

I think it would be a better system than the current one. I mean hunting/eating cans of food to regenerate your blood doesn't make sense. Your body regenerates blood itself.

Can we all remember that this is still a GAME at the end of the day. The injury mechanics are just fine as they are and no one should have to wait days to heal from an injury in the game, that is absurd. Should we have physical therapy after three weeks of bed rest? Do we get crutches or a wheelchair if we get in a car accident. I know lets add insulin to combat the diabetes we will all get from drinking a pepsi or coke every half hour. Maybe we have to farm organic food to get the right nutrient amounts, take breaks on long runs, or add a cramp mechanic.

The game needs to remain accessible guys, I am not saying easy (there are plenty of easy games that you can pick up and play with minimal effort) I am saying accessible. I would much rather die than have to limp along for days due to a broken leg (considering how much of this game is a running simulator), so no I would not want some terrible mechanic that made the game worse just for the sake of "realism."

As far as the actual suggestion, yes it would make sense to add a slow blood regeneration effect. The people suggesting nerfing the blood bags, we have so few mechanics in this game that encourage cooperation that we should not be so quick to discard one.

Well if you really want to make it realistic, after 25% blood loss you are dead. So everyone dies at 9000.

BUT THIS IS A GAME.

With all the ways to get blood back in the game I don't know why you would need heath regeneration. Also defeats the purpose of scavenging for food and hunting animals or looting hospitals for blood packs.

Morphine instantly heals broken bones. No one is complaining about that. Or are they?
