Pending Update 1.7.1 Details

Any longer than 5 seconds and I need to deal with doppelganger issues

One possiblity would be to make it 10 seconds for bodies to stay in game, and 20 - 30 seconds to be able to reconnect to the same server?

A five second counter before disconnect, with you being able to cancel it and/or move your char is ok. No, it is great. Hell, make it ten seconds.

However, five seconds without that turns you into dead meat if you happen to be kicked by 'ping too high', crashes, 'friendly' admins simply booting you out (it happens, we all know it) etc. All those things happen quite a lot, so they should be taken into account before going live with the new patch.

Yeah I know, that was a stupid suggestion.

But what about hats? Lost of fucking Hats! Hundreds of them. This game is lacking HATS!

9. Profit

hope we see less recoil with that ammo :D its for shorter range really but should reduce recoil :D

with the a.c.e mods etc, ive not tried but can one get the ace kit stuff in the armory? been a while not tried that option in menu for loooong time.

Made me laugh in real life (btw I like TF2).

Anyway, regarding patch notes:

5 second timer on disconect seems like a good number, long enough to get a killing blow before he logs and short enough to not cause any hassle when logging normally.

Can you please remove the starting weapon? Why the hell civilians must have em?

Let starting weapon be a knife, baseball bat, dunno... but not a gun. Make the guns harder to obtain. That will also reduce the PKing at the restart areas.

AND

Please, let the respawn zones be in every Chernarus's city! Isn't the zombie apocalypse should strike you when you're peacefully rest in your home? And again - more respzones=less survivors at one place=less off-RP PKing=intense surviving all along the map!

It was more or less an inside joke (http://i45.tinypic.com/o51h1k.jpg), but yeah a skin based on that gasmask soldier would be pretty awesome.

He's thinking about this if you read his latest twitter post and I'm all for it. This might actually entice some strangers to coop at least until they get hold of a gun before they can screw each other over :)

Because going up to a zombie with a baseball bat will be better. You would die in seconds, because guess what? You will have to within range of them and get hit 5-6 times before killing them.

I think the game needs a melee mechanic before removing the starting weapon.

Aye Alan, thats why i said currently. Not sure how much work would be needed to implement melee into the game, animations will need to be done etc etc.. And i think the are bigger issues to be worked on currently. Don't get wrong I'd love to see melee at some point as well.

Well, you could start with no weapons at all, making the game super hard since you'll have to be super sneaky trying to find one.

However, it might be true that it will reduce the PKing on the coast (spawning area), but it will also make it more dangerous for new players to enter big towns since they will be defenseless against other players already there.

Sounds like good changes to the zombie AI. Seems they'll have an easier time noticing players, but players should have an easier time losing the horde (you can hide on them now).

A big step forward!

So does this mean they will spawn inside buildings or not? :)
