They do save gear, at least on the server where I was stashing baked beans and it kept restarting, funny enough today I found an M107 in it :D

Omg Snafu18 you luck s.o.a.b. :P everytime, i have tents up (that actually work in this patch), they just take all my beans and stuff, and take a dump in my tent. Wish someone would leave me some loving in me tent :D

I think tents are working as intended. I stocked our up with tons of Sd guns and ammo along with snipers/Machine guns Nvg's and car parts... Pretty nice knowing that I can take what i want and when the server resets I can take it all over again!

You can save tents and they will replenish everything each restart, so the duping isn't fixed, it's a lot worse.

Just google it.. I am sure someone has put together a youtube video explaining how this works along with how super easy it is to dupe your entire gear setup in seconds.

I will have to search for that... I do know how to do it in .2.4 but it seems that the same procedure is useless in .2.5

Press that "save tent" button only once and only when you change the inventory of it. Works for me. I started to use this "press the button once"-style with fresh tents and they are working properly. The older tents are useless, nothing can be done.

All of my group's gear from pre 1.7.2.5 constantly respawns in tents, and we can't seem to get any new tents to save anything. Luckily, we had a stupid amount of gear pre-patch, but its a bummer we can't move our campsite (been raided numerous times). We've tried, but there's nothing we can do. We're not intentionally duping by any means, but the game has become too easy just knowing we can gear up after a restart if need be. Honestly, I'm for a complete hive wipe of all tents, would do the entire community some good, and get rid of the majority of duped weapons.

I'm sure everyone on our server knows exactly where our campsites are at now, and everyone constantly raids them for gear. No hacked weapons, but we have NVGs/SVDs/5+ AS 50s, Ghillies, etc, all there were found legitimately off of players or crash sites. The duping is out of control, we really need a Hive wipe and force everyone to use what they got, and a fix for the tents and vehicles in general.

Tents aren't updating properly. Pre 7.5 saves stick eternally, removed items do not register. You can't store gear, but you can loot other people's tents without guilt. I consider tent cities to basically be as bad as loot-crates at this point.

Tents are NOT working!!!! I have four tents in my campsite. I work hard to fill them and EVERY-FRKN-DAY I log on and they are EMPTY!! C'mon, Rocket, do something. Wipe everything out. I would GLADLY start at scratch and know that my efforts are worth it. My friends are all playing Guild Wars 2, and I stay with DayZ, the fun is RAPIDLY going bye-bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been playing on a private hive the last couple of weeks and I love it. Tents save properly (every time) and gear doesn't dupe (yeah!). The only glitch I'm still seeing is the tent dupe glitch. That sucks since I placed my tent carefully and had to adjust it once before being happy with the placement. Now the first tent keeps popping back up and I can't get rid of it, making my spot easier to see.

I don't know ebough about the server mechanics to know why, but the server I'm playing on seems to havedone something right.

did you see the "only 100k" left thread? <insert insult here> like you are the reason. you do not deserve to play _any_ game, you should be standing in a corner, like you did or do in school, when you were or are always picked last in team-games.
