    Eternal Overwatch Recruiting

Due to no activity in this topic I'd like to post. This is actually a "revive my account" post too as I didn't care about DayZ for almost a year now. Kind of stopped playing it but want to come back. Don't worry I've been in many groups, bandits, scavengers, local hero medics and so on. I'd like to have somebody to play with during my comeback so I think this is a good thread to post in. I'm skilled and had been playing DayZ for almost a year back then. Now that I've got a summer break from high school which will last till September I'd like to post here as I'm willing to join your group. You seem like an organised pack of guys (and girls ;)) and that's who I'm looking for. Waiting for a reply, thanks!

Dude... Err... I don't know how to comment on that post... Maybe lets lock the thread?

    how to start dayz series

To be honest if you'll be doing commentary and A LOT of it I wouldn't recommend a headset or a normal mic from an average electronic shop. Probably the best kind of mics that you can get are capacitor mics. They use them in music studios but don't reject the idea straight away because if you are really serious about the whole youtube thing you really must have a good rig, especially the microphone since noone likes to listen 20 minutes of mumble etc. A company called C-1 does good mics for the price they ask, normally their cheap stuff is like in the range of 90$ / 75€ / 60£ and I presume this would be the maximum price you'd be willing to pay. I know it's a lot but if you want to do it professionally than that's the way to do it with a limited budget. I can't tell you about a microphone called Blue Yeti which is a USB mic since I don't know much about it but JackFrags is using one and it costs roughly 90$ so it's the same as the C-1's. These are the best tips I can give you, I wish you all the best of luck and if you have any other questions - feel free to ask since I've been studying the topic of let's playing on the internet for six months now. ;)

    how to start dayz series

I've been planning to start some kind of a let's play series on youtube for about six months now and I can tell you - You're too young, so am I. Look at the reality, there are no famous youtube gamers who are below the age of ~18. It sucks but that's life, you'll have to wait and anyway I don't want to sound mean because just like you, I have no experience but unless you are asking for software than it just shows that you have no idea what you want to do or even thought about executing the plan in some way. I know I'm not much help but I just want to save you some time since becoming a noticed youtube gamer isn't a question of one or two weeks, it's months, sometimes even years. But look on the bright side, that's not that bad, through the next year or two try getting to know your (maybe) future surroundings - send some messages to the good quality video uploaders and I'm not saying you should try contacting Frankie because he has no time for these kind of things and I suppose you'd get an answer like: "Hey I explained everything in this video two months ago, cheers". I for example had RhinoCrunch, quite a popular DayZ player on my steam friends list for about three months and got to know some valuable information and tips. Met a lot of twitch.tv streamers by coincidence and even played with Frankie (didn't actually meet him but I see myslef in the chat in one of the Namalsk videos, don't bother looking, my DayZ name is different ;) Try doing some test videos, don't upload them to youtube, buy a good quality microphone and a rig that can record footage of newer games at medium - high since as you have probably noticed - the society is very choosy when it comes to the almighty "480p or 1080p quality" options. I'd recommend making a playlist on your youtube account of Let's play tutorials and basically videos which show you how to operate with different programs and how to actually make it in some way on youtube. But remember, life's a "beach" and you mustn't expect getting from where you are now - average gamer shoes to a youtube star which gets job offers and companies asking you to click like on this and that video so that your subscribers can see and watch the video too, since that's been becoming more and more popular around the popular names like Tobuscus etc. Hope I helped, good luck ;)
  5. Why are you helping a hacker? Even if the brother exists he'll obviously re-download the hack because he was obviously born a fool...
  6. The connector type is the same, just a new one that was added with the monitor (it's excatly the same just younger, lol) I use the same 3D resolution as my current resolution, before when I had the 1280x1024 I was using the 1280x1024 3D resolution, so always 100%, besides what does it actually do, I can't see the difference between 25% and 200%?
  7. http://www.samsung.c...r/LS22B150NS/XY Eh, could the topic be left for a different reason? I'll rename the title. What kind of stuff should I get to run not only DayZ but games like Far Cry 3 on ~high settings with this kind of resolution? Will 800$ be enough to get a good equipment? Excatly, I have no idea why :/
  8. Hey people, The situation is quite complicated... I bought a new monitor about a week ago, another Samsung. However, the old one was a 19', 1280x1024, this one is a 22' 1920x1080 LED. Now the game is unplayable on any of the settings, low, medium, max, tweaks in the CFG files, NOTHING. It's absolutely shit, you can't even look around without the game stuttering. I do realise this is probably the fact of the resolution being so much bigger compared to the old one but before the game was at least playable on medium settings and I mean like 30-40 fps throughout the whole playtime. I didn't change anything in my pc for good two and half years now, I'm planning to get a new motherboard, ram and a processor for christmas but could you just tell me why the game is unplayable even if I put it onto 1280x1024? I was certain that the problem occured because of the big change in res. size but now I have absolutely no idea. Could I ask for help? On a side note I'd like to add that I did try uninstalling both Arma 2 OA + DayZ. None of these operations helped. Cheers I forgot to add, these are my PC specs.: Processor: Quad Q8400 2.66 Ghz Ram: 2GB DDR2 Motherboard: Asus P5Q SE PLUS Graphics Card: GeForce GTX 460 1GB

    Freeside Trading Co.

Good old times... I remember when this and the medic squadron were treated like an official thing, it was so handy... I miss summer and times where there were like 400 000 people playing in the last 24 hours, I hope the standalone will come just before Christmas so it can launch with tons of people trying to play it :) Good luck mate, I'd be interested to join the team but I've started college this year and just realised how easy life was before ;)

    Namalsk buildings are cold?

Namalsk is set in a cold climate, the cold is there for a reason. You can permamently warm up by acquiring warm clothing which can be found in helicopter crash sites or the Bunker in Object AII.

    Betrayed. On tape.

Hahahahha you're such a fartface for trusting some idiots with ghillies and hacked AS50's, congrats time well spent on getting your shit just to lose it to hackers, I can't stop laughing just listening to the sound of that CCO SD getting sprayed into your back xD
