Why geared up players are hard to kill

Recommended Posts

Protip 1: More often than not, they will log back in right where they logged out, or somewhere near/behind where you shot them from. Change position and wait 5-10 minutes, you'll usually pick up a kill.

This. I remember countersniping a guy up on Dobryy who decided to place his ghillie-body upon the sandy white side of the mountain like a complete dumbass. After shooting an AS50 right next to the lobe of his ear, he (I assume) immediately gained a shocked status, and aborted. Seeing his body go limp I thought he had died, but instead he had actually just gone limp from the server-disconnection glitch (makes you look like you died and sank, when in reality you didn't), so I sent my buddy with nothing but an AKM to go loot the body. The jackass decided to log back in, and he got his shock to 10 minute unconsciousness punishment. As his BFF was running away from someone else on Dobryy, trying to get an opportunity to Epi-Pen him, my buddy got up there and soon realized he had actually just been out of it. A spinal tap from an AKM while the idiot couldn't see what was going on was all he needed. The loot was oh so sweet ^_^

Your profile picture makes me not give a flying fuck about your problems.

That was a good one, I'd love to see it used globally.

They do it so quick by hitting Escape, pausing the game, then hitting ALT+F4. ALT+F4 doesn't work unless the mouse cursor is visible on the screen. Practice the motion, it's really freaking fast

With practise and patience you too can also succeed as a cheater.

Even as a deceitful sniper wielding an M107, I have trouble with people combat logging.

AS50 and M107 should be one hit kills but I can't count the number of times I've shot and hit a player only for them to disappear. All I say is I hope they log in to a low pop server and it fucking restarts when they are running for their gear again.

I tend to leave descriptive markers when I encounter these fiends;

If you lose your gear, join a low population server, run to cherno, get gun, climb the highest building, log out, log in on the highest population server

Kill the fully geared sniper in front of you

Walla ur now geared

Having to hop from server to server because you're too scared to gear up when others are on? Then, after having your gear "handed" to you (you didn't earn it), you'll jump on a high pop server just for pvp?

Maybe you haven't come across them yet, but there's other really popular games out there which fit your play style. Search for the Call of Duty series. You don't have to do any work in those games.

Hope this helps.

These days I find alot of the well geared players are well geared because they alt F4 or run from anyone. At least on Cherno. On Lingor players don't seem to care so much. There are alot of Military spawns and players can get geared up to a moderate level fairly quickly. But there are still some solid items that are hard to get. I mean on Cherno you gotta run 2-3 km before your even at a level where you want to fight, unless your spawn is decent.

If someone kills me, they can have my L85/AS50. I always keep a spare pair of NVGs, Ghillie and rangefinders on me. Anyone who kills me gets a shitload of nice gear. Share the love I say.

I'd assume ALT-F4ing could easily be remedied just give it a delay from when u hit alt-f4 and the in game character dissapearing

I die alot.. I mean some days i never even notice the guy with the gun pointed at me until i am dead! Although it sucks because I seem to be a pro equipment getter, I am 50% noob in combat! (some days straight up bad ass pthers straight up baddie) ;P But never once have i alt - F4'd you kill me, I tip my hat and try not to be so bad next time! Shit I shot a squad member in panic and he blasted me and took my shit, We laughed at my noobishness as they flew in to pick me up on the coast. You are denying yourself some serious fun by alt - F4'ing, but hopefully the SA will fix this in a fair fashion.

Not everyone with decent kit alt f4's

18days_zps24e1e7b5.png

As you can see from my debug monitor I don't and never will whoever gets me can enjoy the fruits of their kill.

I dont think its just related to geared players though I see as many people shoot at me with crappy stuff, miss and then alt f4 when i return fire. It's a mindset that has taken over a large % of players.

Alt-F4 to escape a firefight is lame. Although truth be told, I've done it a couple of times when I trapped myself in a building with a ton of zombies. I figure they won't complain!

The only time I managed to "kill" another player so far was some even NOOBier player running down the middle of the road by the coast with a couple of zombies chasing him. I happened to have an Enfield so I blasted him a couple times. He didn't go down though. He just ran around spraying blood everywhere like an extra from Kill Bill until he disconnected. I mean come on. You really need a do-over when you just have a flashlight and presumably no more bandages?

I have only succesfully killed players with headshots. Otherwise they have all combat logged on me.

But I never combat log.

There should be a 5-10 second countdown timer to leave the game. You click abort, and you see 5......4......3......2......1.....logged off. There should be no alt-F4 or immediate log off possibility.

The best method to counter and I've seen this work very well in other games is as follows:

1) Alt-4 or any other insta disconnect should keep your character in game for at least 60 seconds.

2) If you're in combat, you cannot gracefully disconnect for "x" amount of minutes

3) To gracefully log out, you must not be in combat and select logout which initiates a logout timer of 15 seconds. If you enter combat within that 15 seconds, the graceful log out timer resets back to 15 seconds and does not start again until you are out of combat.

In my opinion, Disconnecting to avoid pvp in a pvp game is as much of a cheat as any of the script kiddies.

Exactly the same here.

At the moment I have an M4CCO SD, M24,GPS,Range finder and night vision.

I will never disconnect in a fire fight, I may run away if I know I am going to love but I will never disconnect

Why run from love? love is a tremendous thing.

I alt f4 because of zombies. I specifically go to small servers because I'm not a PvPer. Only killed one person.

More often than not, after they get hit and they finally process what has happened, the death has been settled. You can log in on another server, but you might bleed out and die. Most of the time the body will be gone on the server they hop to, as well as the one you shot them on. I've experienced this after getting sniped as a freshspawn, I really didn't want to run back so I tried it. The results weren't in either of our favors. I feel that it's mostly something people do because they know 100% you're going for their loot, and they don't want you to have it.

Best fierfight: at <10m my AKM vs the sniper (some kind of .50cal) who killed 3 of my buddies at NWAF. I routed him to the North and left my bicycle near a treeline; in the open, facing east--seeing as nobody who just fired that many rounds would dare go west (into open fields). As expected I intercepted him and shot him down off of the bicycle, as he ejected behind a tree I fired another clip in his direction. No kill message...he runs out from behind a stone hedge firing his .50 at me and I fire back, we chased eachother around the few trees there for probably 20 seconds. I heard a leg break and he fell behind a bush, then of course he alt+F4

Was still the best firefight in spite!

A day or so ago. I went to Electro's sniper hill in a highly populated server. I didn't mind losing any of the high gear I had as I was alive for a very long time. I killed a bunch of people. It was a fun "King of the Hill" game. Then I see another bandit and I shoot him, he bleeds and then quits out behind a tree before I could finish him off. I figured he might come back and try to come at me again. He eventually does and gets the quicker shot on me. I had plenty of time to DC like he did but didn't. So I died and he looted my gear and left. Afterwards the firefight continued.
