marioreni@yahoo.com 1 Posted August 14, 2012 (edited) Before, it didnt happen often...hackers on servers...tonight was a mayor attack...I was playing on one UK server (waiting my mates to join) when we all (who were on the server) respawned on eastern airfield with AS60`s, ghillles, A4 with silencer in coyote bpack, lots of ammo, full gear etc....then someone opened fire and I disconnected on time...I was "thrown" back on the same server when I saw that creep dancing some retarded dance....later on other server we all respawned in the middle of teh game and message said something like: "you have 2 mins to colect ammo in tents and fight for your lifes".....I disconnected....This is not fun and thus I really dont want to "play" this anymore.....pitty....Dayz is a great mod but the game itself has crap protection....pitty.... AngryKaze 15 Posted August 14, 2012 Dont join a server with 55/60 people then. Hackers just join the high pop ones, take one with a few less.. not as much action, but atleast you're in the clear.
marioreni@yahoo.com 1 Posted August 15, 2012 (edited) Nah I will wait standalone and will buy it only if I heard its with good protection....btw, some of the games I play have master server on which all must connect before going on any of the game servers...and that is a damn good "realtime protection"... Its just randomness, if you want to avoid hackers, stop playing the game.

kander 80 Posted August 15, 2012 (edited) Paradox.Hackers hack because it makes them feel big and clever. They're preying on this mod since it is a small project in development, and so it's easy to hack. Therefore hacking DayZ is neither big, nor clever. Nor is it even remotely original. To the hacking infants out there, you just may (but probably still wouldn't) get my respect if you manage to successfully hack something WoW and get away with it. Until then, trying to ruin a potentially fantastic indie game in development just because you can? I can't express how lonely and pathetic that is. It's summer for Christ's sake, at least try and get outside for a few minutes a day. There's girls out there and all sorts. Evilsausage 87 Posted August 15, 2012 You mean your gonna quit testing because hackers are ruining the alpha? Noooooo! You make it sounds like its not a big deal.We all got very much in love with the DayZ alpha, now everything has turned to shit.I can understand why people are leaving and that is a hugh problem. Cuz a game is supposed to improve over time not the opposite, even if its just an alpha.I have also been thinking about leaving even though i just got back to Day Z. but i just play the game super casualy now from time to time, log on go hardcore with axes in cherno and elektro. Pretty fun. The few time i have actually tried to play seriously there is always some hacker that ruins the fun.
Bottlerocket 205 Posted August 15, 2012 You know ... on one level we've completed our mission as testers. We've proven that we're willing to pay for a sandbox shooter which boldly rejects the massively dominant forms of game design. So much so that we're getting the standalone title many of us have dreamed about for years. So, like, leaving is ok - job's done. However, people are still going to have to stick around to test patches and new innovations - but that can be done with far less people .... meaning far fewer targets to go after .... meaning fewer hackers ....
