Will ammo now start being valuable?

The next patch has the infinite ammo fix, and I'm very excited for it.

Duping is rampant right now, but most people dupe weapons and tools, not ammo. There never was a need to because of the "full ammo on relog" bug.

I'm hoping ammo becomes high value now. People will try to dupe it, but it's harder since the most common duping methods only dupe 1-2 items at a time.

Imagine duping a coyote filled with all the ammo you need.

Was in that machinima stream everyone's been talking about? My understanding was the Rocket had added the fill up for mags because they had a tendency to disappear if any portion were used--better to have a fill up then a drop, I guess. Here's hoping he's fixed that root issue.

I can't wait for all the QQ threads to follow... people will actually have to play the game now, instead of exploiting their ammo infinitely.

Mhm. Gonna make double sure who I'm spending my ammo on from now on.

I have passed on many loaded tents because I just had too much ammo (I had 8 M240 mags today, gave half to a friend, I have 6 more STANAG ammo aswell).

taking away infinite ammo will change the game dramatically I think, and I'm all for it.

I just hope that ammo becomes easier to find. With this bug fix, and zombies hearing a pin drop. Getting over run has become more frequent.

This is a good change. next would be fixing tents and disappearing items.

It will stop lazy snipers from killing people in cherno elektro.

It will be a big change for sure.

Way more people will be running with AKs and Lees instead of AS50s and M14s.

They just need to do something about handgun damage, it needs to be at least 2 shoots kill for every handgun. Having to unload a 1911 on a zed to bring him down is too much and if the ammo will not replenish this will be very bad.

Will make sure to never shoot Zeds again, or maybe with the G17, but all my mk 48 and dmr shots will be aimed at players for sure.

what I'd like to see his for Axe to be used in 2ndary weapon so I can just ditch the pistols and have all bandages in my slots

yeah but will just change how "legit" players play, hackers will still just abuse their boxes of candy

will this fix the endless bean bug to? ( right click,drop,eat,pickup)

i think pistols are kinda terrible right now though.

takes 1-2 clips to kill a couple of zombies even with .45's.... i'd rather just use primary weapon, don't see the point in using pistols anymore. maybe if you could switch to pistol quickly, but it takes your character about half an hour to put primary weapon aside and draw pistol - which is more than enough time for a zombie to get a KO shot.

against other players pistols are awful as well unless you're close enough to get a headshot.

i like the weapon balancing relative to the other weapons (for example shotgun slugs became much stronger compared to other weps), but they're just too weak vs zombies and players right now.

Pistols might be a bug, 45 ACP should definitely put the stop in anything that's still technically alive. Remember: Infection, not undead.

Giving the zombies more health is not the issue. If we're going to really fix this, we need zombies scattered around in more than just the cities. That way, one does not simply sit on a hill and camp. Oh yeah, and climbing zombies. Rooftops should NOT be anything more than temporary safety.

I already use ammo as if the magazines didn't refill, I shoot the mag emoty or toss it, and I can say there is plenty of ammo for most wepons. You may get problems with the heavy snipers, the FN Fal and the Bison SD.

I also guess the PWD will be a lot more worth after this fix.

I can fire my Glock 17 with regular mags at a zombie from 10 meters away without them hearing it. 20 meters for any 5.56 rifle I found. Some how my footsteps on pavement are louder than a small explosion. <_<

No. Just get a tent and duplicate the shit out of everything. Also, ammo is not rare at all.

The most common ammo types that can be found almost anywhere are:

-Makarov mags

-.45 ACP ammo

-STANAG mags

-DMR mags

-2/8Rnd Slugs/Pellets

-Enfield rounds

Ammo will not run out unless you are a sniper pussy who only hoards anti-material rifles. I like this change, alot. But the duplication is still a very sad thing.

The pistols have too high random bullet spread to be reliable for headshots. And it will be freaking difficult to do so when the game lags, de-syncs, whatever. You wont be headshotting zombies that are chasing another player, especially the ape-zombies.

I get anxious, my aim is terrible, the ironsights in this game are quite bad and when they are running there is no way you can go for a headshot.
