Vicious bastards, ain't they??

I had one hit me today because I flubbed my keyboarding and I was worried something bad would go down. Just had to bandage and breathed a sigh of relief.

Also that poster is epic..

I stood in the ATC tower at the southern Airfield and watched as a zombie by the deerstand aggroed on me, and ran all the way to the ladder before I shot him.

Zombies are glitchy.

I was under the impression that zombies couldn't climb to the top of cranes. Boy was I wrong. I was sniping at Elektro and then suddenly a zombie donkey punched me. After coming to my senses, I noticed I was losing blood so i commenced to bandage myself - this causes me to fall off the crane and die.

because Rocket apparently thinks "we are the content for the AI", and not the traditional "the AI is the content for us"

Yeah, it fucking sucks when that shit happens doesn't it? I've had that to me with a full coyote pack of goodies right outside an airbase. Nothing like setting up some poor schmuck just walking onto the base and seeing my corpse... :(

Same thing happened to me today. I was crawling and got spotted, tried to stand, momentary delay in animation, was hit once while at FULL 12000 and knocked the fuck out. Never came to. sat there for 5 minutes watching a zombie slowly eat me alive. 1 hit dead. sucked hard and I was way far away from the coast and by the time I made it back to my body... nothing but flies.

just made this exact same post in another thread:

from DayZ wiki:

Causes of being Unconscious:

  • A very large amount of lethal damage. (most rifles, sniper rifles, and high military-graded weapons)
  • Dropping below 3000 blood will cause the player to drift in and out of consciousness (there is a 1 in 100 chance for this, and it is rolled once every second in the game).
  • Logging in with the Shock condition.
  • Being hit by a zombie with less than 9000 blood.

No, no tale. I have had it happen to me. Not exactly at full 12k, but well above 9000. Zombie hit me, I hit the deck, knocked straight out, bleeding to death, broken bone. The last time it happened, no morphine. Miles away from any where and no one to come save me. So I sat up in a field and just commenced to dealing death to any and all zombies within the sound of my boom stick.

It sucked. But I laughed and started over. To be honest...I know that in the real world...yeah...that place...it doesn't really take much to put someone down and with a jacked up-never-gonna-walk-right-again-knee injury. So I don't complain. But now, lesson learned...I horde morphine like I am addicted to...um...morphine.

I feel about this the same way i feel about sniping. Is it realistic? Sort of... Is it fun gameplay to have happen to you? No.

I welcome more reasons to fear the zombies, especially since i've learned how to simply run the zombies off, but this needs to come in another form that doesn't make you want to shelf/delete the mod and ADDS TO the gameplay (tension, fear, interesting, etc....)

This is important imo. Would i like a small chance to break something though? Yep, just a lot, lot smaller. like .001

Hey I wanted to report this also happend to me 1 time so far. I had 12000 blood points and had 1 zombie following me. I ended up stoping for a second to line up a shot on him and the zombie got a hit on me. It droped me down to 2000 blood points but I passed out before I could see that. lucky for me though as soon as I passed out the zombie diapered and my teammate fixed me up. Thank God I didnt die! I had alot of good stuff on me lol.

This game has no bugs, and that mechanic has never changed. Therefor, the OP must be a lie.

Great logic there, bro.

Not telling tales. Telling what EXACTLY happened.

Stop thinking you know everything. This game is bugged to hell and back. if multiple people are reporting a bug then its probably a bug NO MATTER WHAT THE GAME MECHANICS STATE.

One does not simply allow a zombie to hit him.

um...yes they do. whether they want to or not. if you are being chased by more than one and try to backpedal shoot, then you're going to get hit. no matter what.
