Let me make something clear.

Do not ask for help if:

1. You have nothing worth saving. What I mean here is, if you have a watch and a hatchet, do not ask for help. A player is measured by their equipment. I am not going to risk myself or another medic in order to come to Cherno for someone who would be better served by dying and learning from their death. We are not a "get out of death free" card for new players, we are a service that is offered to people who know how to play the game and have exhausted all other options.

2. You are in an area that most people would call PvP. These areas are Stary:Cherno:Elektro:NWAF:NEAF:Balota:Berezino. If you are in one of these areas and a medic does not want to come to you then tough luck.

And finally to "Brian in a vat": You are not ENTITLED to medical assistance. Everything we do for you we do as a favor. If we choose not to help you, it is not because we are worthless, it is because we have shit to do that is more pressing than your life and you should just learn how to deal with it. Please understand that, should a medic decline to help you, you haven't lost anything, you are just in the same boat that you were in to start with.

I hope this clarifies some things. I am not your servant. I am doing you a favor, and you should respect that.

I recently looted cherno hospital on my own, another player saw me and called out 'are you friendly'. I replied I needed the gear to help another player since I played medic, and he didn't fire. Happened several times before already, outside berezino too.

No one in his right mind would stay in that tower longer than a minute though, or even use the tower as a lookout. It's just way too easy to be spotted in there.

This friendly docter came all the way from berezino to Novy Sobor to give me some blood and to get me back on my feet , not only did he gave me the blood transfusion i needed but he also gave some spare medical supplies. Thumbs up for him ,

Got saved by Merino today ! I was on top shit of a shit Moutain, it was clear, stars were high and birght and my savior offers me blood, and help me cook my meat. Thanks to his morphine He gave me last day : I was able to get in a SAFE place on my own but I was still low on blood and my character was going from consciousness to unconsciousness ... I give him a poke and He came (for the second time in two days, yeah thats a lot !) But instead of answering me : ROT in HELL! He came gave me transfusion offer me a fire to heat my wounded body and to cook my wildpig meat !!! MIAM !

After action report:

Miika approached me for medical assist for both him and his friend Niksu. They were low on blood, bleeding, unconscious with a possibility of broken bones from a shoot out in Zelenogorsk. Both were in the open next to one of the houses near the Zelenogorsk church. I responded but told him it would take time for me to get from Gorka (where I was hunting for a vehicle to act as a mobile storage; total distance from my last location to theirs' was appx 7km).

Went from one end to the other end without incident on my usual server other than detouring a crash heli and making a big circle around an ATV parked in the middle of a field with trees and hills over looking it.

I arrived at their location and it being Zelenogorsk with the compact buildings and large number of infected required me to shoot a few to clear out the area. I decided to treat Miika first. He logged in with 2k blood, bleeding. Took awhile to find him and just managed to stop the bleeding as he went below 1k. Gave him a full medical treatment. One patient down.

The next patient, Niksu, logged in after Miika logged out (as per my instructions). I saw him appear before me and even went down unconscious. However, the options to begin treating him did not appear and he was around 1k blood. By the time I started treatment, he was gone.

To say I was stunned is an understatement. To say I was completely devastated is just the tip. Miika questioned me over my failure and I couldn't answer him properly. I offered and stayed with the body (together with Miika) till Niksu could return to collect his previous life's gear.

As time passed, news that Niksu was in Chernogorsk and had found more or less enough gear had come down. Miika proposed that I could go my way. I stuck around for awhile longer before I accepted his offer (actually, it was my paranoia of being in Zelenogorsk surrounded by the horde that made the decision).

We parted ways, exchanging well wishes of luck and health as well as my repeated apologies.

Again, I would like to apologise to Niksu. I seriously do not know what went wrong. It could have been my ineptness as a medic or something along the line of the game mechanics. However, the bottom-line is you died. And, as I have said many times to Miika, I am sorry.

I am also sorry to jofirebat who has posted here and even contacted me. My sig says it all (and I might add one or two more locations to it right now). Please check my recent PM for what my advice is.

EDIT: Calling it a night now. It's 4am my time. Stay alive out there people.
