Not really so much something I did - but something I had done to me... Don't worry, though, it fits in here perfectly...

So, there I was, the first time I have ever been in Cherno - stalking from building to building, sneaking around and looting like a boss (or at least a senior manager). I had the basics - two water bottles, a winchester, my mak, flares and of course, teh beanz, the mythical hunting knife (seriously, its fucking impossible for me to find this thing, but I digress...) a sweet set of binoculars, shit loads of food and about 8 (possibly more, i can't remember off hand) makarov mags. I was ready to head north. I had been through the industrial bit, hit up several houses, the supermarket and the fire station... Now, I'm a greedy bastard, so I decide to go to the church and check it out before leaving. I do so and on leaving (being a clumsy greedy bastard) I accidentally aggro a shit load of zeds.

I make like Usain Bolt for the train yard (just to the west) and hear shots being fired - at me, perhaps? Well, I didn't hang around to find out - I ran back to the church with the speed of a thousand gazelles, shots ringing out all over... I make it back to the church and use the door as a choke point - popping the zeds as they bunch up to come through the door. I then hear the distinctive fizzzzzzzzz-thud! of a flare and more shooting, but more sporadic. I pop my head out the door and see a flare sitting right at the church door.

Opening side chat, I write;

"Church. Cherno. Stop shooting or you will aggro every zed in Cherno"

"Im shooting zeds and I cant come in the church because I think you'll shoot me" Chris (his name is Chris) replied.

So, cut a long story short, I let him know that I have looted the place and that there is nothing here for him... He still wants to come in and claims to have no ammo on account of the zed slaying.

"Ok, you can come in, but I'm NOT lowering my gun" I say.

So, he trots in and starts looking around for loot, even though there is nothing there... A MrRyobi then types over side "ITS A TRAP LOL" but to his credit, he follows it up with a "jk"... Chris seems ok, so I give him one clip of Makarov (first time I ever did this so I was unsure how to use the inventory correctly...) We then sit staring at each other for a bit realising we have just alerted every ass hat bandit in Cherno to our ware-abouts...

So I say "Here's what's going to happen - you're gonna leave"

I didn't want to turn my back on this guy - not now that he was armed...

He says "aw come on, not even a good bye? here - let me give you something - see on the floor, sardines"

What a class act, I think and promptly stoop down to take them.

The bastard then proceeds to shoot me in the face with my own ammo.

It didn't make me mad, though; my afternoon prancing through Cherno was probably the best fun I had so far with Day Z. I just hope the new patch doesn't ruin the game (I haven't tried it yet) I re spawned and the server crashed shortly after, however...

Incidentally, should anyone come across Chris on UK87; please send him my regards... Or shoot him in the face - either one suits me.:P

Heres mine:

Was at dock area of Porgodorsk (sp). I was about to enter the big building with stairs there, when i saw a survivor leave crouched, he didnt see me. So i was about to shoot him when i noticed my ammo was bugged so my rifle was empty. I watched him go and entered the building. I used the stairs, and went to the 3rd floor catwalks. From there i saw the survivor again walking below, he had a makarov i had a grenade(i had no ammo nor other weapons). He was walking slowly so i talked to him on direct chat, then threw the grenade, he stopped and was blown away :P I rushed down to get the gun before zombies arrived. It was fun, im not into killing but i had no weapons to defend myself.

Ran through two small towns and gained a horde of zombie followers for my trouble. Then ran to the next town where three guys were hold up in a building. They kept shouting "FRIENDLY!" "FRIENDLY!" "BEHIND YOU, MAN!". I ran through their building and the horde decided to focus them instead. About 20 seconds later I see the two of their deaths in the chat followed shortly by the third. Walked back and found two of their bodies which only had a bit of good loot but the laughs were reward enough

I was sitting above the airfield, watching like a hawk. I see zombies spawned in and wait for the poor guy to show himself. Finally I seem him through my range finder, 700 meters out. I zero in my AS50, find him in the hanger looting a pile, and fire. One shot, one kill.

My first play through on the v1.7.1.1 patch, I spawned in Electro and was searching through the building and looking for loot, when I hear a survivor running around outside with zombies giving chase. I told him (Chunk) to come to me and I would help him. I killed his zombies and gave him an extra gun. It was safe to say we teamed up at this point. We then hear several voices over direct chat and I talk to them and we decide to team up.

After about 15-20 more minutes in Electro all 5 of us are geared up to the max. When we get out to the woods, we try to figure out who is who so we can communicate better. Myself and the three guys I met up with all have mics and are able to talk, but poor little chunk tells us he does not and has to type to talk with us. He then shoots one of us and runs off. He then comes back to tell us he shot accidentally, but we killed him on site. At this point one of the guys I had teamed up with says "Well, it's one less mouth to feed!" without any remorse at all and we crack up at this point.

I felt bad about what happened but couldn't help but laugh at it. If that wasn't bad enough, for the next couple hours we kept seeing Chunk had died pop up. The poor guy couldn't survive on his own and here we are, still on the same life running around from town to town. Sorry Chunk!

OMFG the craziest shit just happend to me on DE1 xD rofl I can't believe it. So, let me set the scene for you. Elektro, just spawned west and decided to head into town to gather some supplies and a weapon. Said, done, I go to the fire station, the supermarket, a residence and then the office, when I hear an AKM in town. real close. I peak over the wall and see all the zombies running into the residence I just came out of. I thought okay, I had gathered a lot of supplies. alice, double barreled, 5+ food, 5+ drink, and lots of bandages, plus the odd compass and watch. all I was missing was some bloodpacks and morphine, which was my next planned stop. Anyway, I watch the guy but loose him but I still see all the zeds streaming into the office building and I could hear his steps. I figured it was a me or him situation since I had better equip. I lay flat on the third floor expecting him to creep up. what I didnt expect was him sprinting around the corner. BOOM I fire. and miss.... aod!@#@LJ$ he turns and shoots me square in the face. I must have hit him in the arm cuz I saw him bleed. Well great I thought to myself. Respawn, select female (before I played as a male) and I spawn in..... ELEKTRO!! GREAT I thought to myself and figured I would sprint back to the office from the docks to see what he had left me. I didnt really care about zombies so I had half the dockyard chasing me through town, when, I see a guy dash across the road towards the hospital. Thats gotta be him I thought, I turn and take a dash through the alleyway to intercept him. I turn on Direct VOIP and was screaming HELP PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME. I HAVE NOTHING. I come out right infront of the hospital and as he sees me he hesitates but the moment he sees the zeds trailing me he turns right round and makes a run for the office. The whole time I'm telling him I just spawned and I needed help. Remember that I didn't use Direct VOIP before when he shot me so he doesnt know my voice and before I was playing male. So we run back into the office and up on the first floor. As we are running I'm thinking to myself I'm gonna backstab him this guy. I lead the way and we run up the stairs and he turns to shoot the zombies in the staircase. I stop and turn on the first floor and what do I see, A HEAVEN SENT CROWBAR! that's right. So while this guy is standing on the stairs valiantly fending off the zeds I brought with me, I pick up this crowbar, stand behind him on the staircase, (reload the crowbar, idk why you would need to do that first), and start bashing in the guys skull. THUMP THUMP THUMP. three blows and the poor bastard goes down like a sack of potatoes while shooting the zombies for me. MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BEST FUCKING KILL I HAVE EVER HEARD OF! omg I rofld so damn hard. Sadly right as he went down and I began looting his sorry ass, with all my weapons and food and backpack, ArmA2OA stops working. xD OH WELL. whatevs I was laughing to damn hard anyway xD The feeling that guy must have felt I cannot possible describe or imagine. that's gotta be the best kill you have heard since 1.7.1 :D

I was at Balota airfield sitting in the hangar when I met Steve on UK 20, I asked for blood and while he was sitting there writing to me, he got shot in the head.. I killed the person who shot him with a hatchet, took steve's SD weapon and waited in one of the cargo containers in the hangars looking over the bodies, hoping for steve's return.. I ended up shooting 3 other people and when I didn't shoot the fourth who only had a hatchet.. I let him loot the bodies, which was foolish.. He picked up a gun and ran out, when I asked if he wanted to give me blood he came back and shot me.. I'm sorry Steve.. I lost the M4A1 SD..

So far in my time playing, (Which was at the release of the 1.7.1.1 patch) I have found about 5 friendly players, all who I have witnessed die. Like, I am walking with this guy, he goes prone, then 20 zed's surround him and i watch him get mauled. After he dies, all the zombies disappear. (Seems like a bug.) then, I felt bad about it, but I looted his crap because he had an M1014. This other guy wanted his hatchet so I let him have it. I've never killed any human. I think the point of this game is to survive against the zombies now because of the 1.7.1.4 update.

My friends and I have found a few cars in our travels, which we have promptly relocated to a more secure location. Sucks for the original owners but they should hide it better.

The only time I've really felt bad though was when my squad of five guys, fairly well armed with a M240, CZ, M4/M203, AKM, and a M16 SD, had just joined up north of Cherno when we spotted a party of three with two Enfields and Winchester.

We were in the forest north of a fuel station, which we judged was their objective from the direction they were running.

We spread out a few metres back from the tree line and waited for them to enter. As soon as they had all exited the M240 opened up and they instantly went to ground, one wounded. One guy managed to get back into the fuel station while the third courageously went to help his downed comrade. He was promptly sniped in the face. The last guy in the fuel station was flushed out with a well placed M203 HE grenade (which hit the fuel station but did no damage strangely), He was quickly taken down.

This all took about 5 seconds at most.

We checked their corpses and found an ALICE pack and a bit of food, but nothing else useful. About an hour later, one of the guys on Mumble piped up "Man, I'm actually feeling bad about that". We all agreed. It was was quite funny as no one had spoken about it until then.

Before we even engaged we knew they weren't a threat and likely didn't have anything worth looting, but we set and executed an ambush on these obviously new players anyway.

It was my second hour of DayZ, I was socialising in side chat, I found that someone was near me, he told me he was friendly, I told him the same. I trusted the guy, he showed me the ropes of the game, we then continued to raid a military camp, and eventually the air strip, we found alot of loot, some AKMs, AK-47u's, tents, things like that. It felt awesome. He told me had to log off however, and a surge of adrenaline went through me, so I killed him, took his stuff. He called me out in chat however, and being a newb, I stayed there for a bit, and someone came to give me what I deserved. I felt so guilty, I was full of regret. However, my first few hours of DayZ were great. (Sorry Jadey. Thanks Ben.)

Me and a friend were wandering around CHerno with few supplies after starting the game only the day before. He had an AKM and I had the Winchester we just found upstairs in a small house. People call out from the first floor because they hear out footsteps. "They" (we thought it was 1 or 2 people) said they were friendly and we said we were too. I proposed we team up and go to a military base which they agreed to. Upon reaching the top of the stairs the first guy had an Ak-74 (which i desired soooo badly...) he caught 4 rounds in the neck of my friends AKM and died instantly. His friend come up with a Winchester and hits me twice in the chest and receives a full 1911 mag in return, with a few AKM for the kill. At this point i cannot stay conscious and my friend is attempting to bandage and give me a blood transfusion, which was successful. We thought the gun fight was over and begin looting our kills (who were very well off) when a third member comes up with an M9 hitting me more than 4 times an being dropped by a mixture of fire from my new AK and my friend AKM. After the bandaging i am around 3000 blood and struggling to stay conscious. we decide to leave due to the spam of "who is shooting in Cherno!" cries. As we exit I am hit with some sniper round in my hip, instantly killing me. My friend conveniently sprinted away using my death as a distraction.

here is my story: I spawned west of Komarovo (I'm playing on the latest hotfix so I had no gun). I went to docks with hope of finding a gun and/or whatever else usefull. I entered the warehouse and found two zombies chasing another survivor without a gun. As he was trying to escape them he entered the second (bigger) building me right behind him. We were looking for any kind of weapons. Finaly I found a hatchet so i went outside and to entered another building in docks and i found huge pile of ammunition, food and empty cans so i started to packing as many things as i can when suddenly the second guy come next to me and was searching for anything usefull. I found out that he found another hatchet right behind me and i didn't wanted to risk that he will kill me so i decided to kill him first. I hit him twice and he hit me just before i killed him with another hit.

I bandaged myself and got out the building. I was heading north to the city when i saw a bleeding guy with a flashlight running away with bunch of zombies behind his back. I don't know why but i started to chase him with hatchet in my hands.

I will tell you this. Seeing this guy bleeding and runnig in panic away from some kind of maniac with hatchet (me) and bunch of zombies was worth every minute. I would pay for seeing this guys face:D

After 2 minutes or so he turned roud a corner and hide behind building and started to bandage himself and that was the moment i was waiting for i killed him took his bandages and painkillers and left unfortunately no beans:(

My sad story: After finding a DMR, a tent, and a makarov with full ammo (Makarov is now a precious loot) i decide to set the tent in a hill, unfortunately someone saw me going there and came up to me and said "Hi, can i have a bandage?" I, having a past of always getting killed after reporting myself as friendly, shot him in the head in fear he would take my DMR and tent, he also had an MP5 and mags for it.

I met a guy inside of the tower at the Belota airstrip... he had newbie gear (no weapon), so I didn't kill him with my Glock.

We talked for a bit and he let me have a GPS that we came across. After that, I spotted an AKM in a corner, so I let him have that as a thank-you for giving me the GPS.

We walked outside and aggro'd some zeds (1.7.1.4 zeds with super-hearing), and we got pinned against a wall. I knew we didn't have enough ammo to fight them off, so I threw a smoke grenade in the air, killed the other player, took his stuff, and hauled ass into the forest to try and lose the zeds.

I followed Jubag and Mackenzie in pitch black with my trusty mackerov whilst they were on team speak and kill them... twice. Then confessed all and Mackenzie had a hissy fit and left teamspeak; jubag thought it was funny too so it's all good.

I crawled through and unknown town weaving through the undead and found a barn with a ton of slugs for my DB shotgun. I had just gone hunting and had a lot of meat in my backback as well as a compass and hatchet. This might not be much to some but it's the best I've gotten. I walk up the stairs to the second floor of the barn and hear gun fire; I immediately go prone. After a minute I hear someone walk in and go directly under me, I don't dare to move. This whole time my heart is pounding.. do I kill him? Will he kill me? This is a game about survival and I lived the longest and have the best gear I've ever owned. Thoughts racing through my mind... should I ask if he's friendly? What if he says yes and puts a bullet in me anyway? Moments later I hear him walking towards the stairs, I go to the crouched position and wait. I see his head pop up; not even knowing that I was there, that I existed. Memories fly through my head of previous encounters where I lay the victim. I could not let this son of a bitch take me down. I take one shot and hit him square in the back. He lay there unconscious. I walk closer, take aim, and shoot him directly in the head. Loot his body for slugs and bandages and run off into the woods. Never have I felt remorse for killing another player in a video game until now.

Last night was my first kill.
