Timing of Patch 1.5.8

Updated Changelog:

* [NEW'] Server cleanup system replaced with a more agressive one

* [NEW] Inventory Interaction system (right-click on items in gear screen to bring up interactions)

* [NEW] Temperature System now implemented (effects are limited)

* [NEW] Chance of catching infection the lower your temperature

* [NEW] Chance of catching infection from already infected players

* [NEW] Water can be filled in ponds, all water pumps, wells, but not the sea

* [NEW] Forced disconnection saving for abort and alt+F4

* [NEW] Zombie's will investigate player deaths

* [NEW] Adrenaline rush from panicing causes greately increased hunger for a while

* [NEW] Bandaging Sound when bandaging yourself/someone

* [NEW] Coughing sound when you have an infection

* [NEW] Camera Shake when temperature drops extremely low

* [NEW] PROTIP: Use Global Chat/VOIP in populated areas

* [NEW] Fire requires wood to keep burning

* [FIXED] Should not be pellets for the Winny

* [FIXED] Helicopter loot despawning too fast

* [FIXED] Fog is way too thick

* [FIXED] Climbing a ladder with a pistol will cause you to fall

Geez. You are going wild. This temp and infection sounds like it should make life more iteresting this patch.

But I suppose you are omitting the zombie spawn problem of the 1.5.7? That's fixed right? It isn't in the changelog.

You're getting rid of pellets? If so, will they be replaced with Slugs? I've got quite a few pellets in my inventory.

Will the zombie spawn rate be fixed? Rocket mentioned it on Friday it was getting fixed by this patch but the change is not in the notes he just posted.

Is there still concern about new build deployement and number of servers / players DDoSing them?

How about then an Iron Man special experiment, where if you die, you are dead - for at least a full day?

Meaning you cannot connect until the next day (say 24 hrs computed for each character to be fair, or a set datetime to be easy). Could be a nice experiment at least once. And, one effect, once most player population gets killed during the peak times (or doesn't connect because of fear), you would have nice mostly empty world to deploy the new build without the danger of everybody trying them out at the same time crashing everything.

And Rocket, imagine all the delicious tears ;-)

This should be interesting. Now, not only do you have to figure out if another player is a bandit before approaching, but you need to determine if they are infected.

Will your humanity go up or down if you kill an infected? :D

Is there going to be a way to get rid of infection? I'm guessing it is to stay warm for awhile or find anti-biotics or something. looking forward to the update! I'm excited to see the fog changes it was getting pretty thick at times.

Why would you get an infection when getting cold?

There should be a chance of getting an infection when getting shot, if the bullet is lodged. Someone else should have to dig it out. But when cold? hmm...

More of a reason to not play at night... *facepalm*

Bigger the patch, bigger the bugs.

Also, we need bigger backpacks to carry all this shit!

I hope an infection is just... an infection i.e. cough/cold, not the actual zombie one, lol.

The infection relates to you catching a cold. In a normal world this is not serious, in DayZ you are fucked.

Antibiotics might be a little rare. I checked the database, only 50 people currently have it in their inventory.

So are vehicles that are destroyed gunna respawn on restarts now ?

or is that for a later update ?
