  • Reworked Nizhnoye village on Chernarus
  • Adding a favorite server when already at max (25) will throw an error instead of removing a random favorite
  • VOIP (any) is not available while in inventory. If VA is active, the player can keep speaking though
  • VOIP "push-to-talk" and "toggle voice activation" have been moved from DPAD-down to DPAD-left
  • VOIP "volume range up/down" has been added as DPAD-left + RB/LB
  • "Cycle fire mode" has been moved from DPAD-left to LT (I.E.  while in raised hands) + DPAD-right
  • While in vehicle, "accelerate" now behaves as an axis and can be modulated (instead of being on/off)
  • Heavy attack is now triggered by "Press Y" instead of "Hold Y"
  • A new optional control scheme added
  • Mic continues to listen to the player for 0.5 s after they let go of the push-to-talk button
  • All heat sources are now emitting heat
  • Drain and pour liquid actions are now properly separated
  • Adjusted the wolf model to allow a more precise head-shot
  • The burning duration of torches now correctly depends on the amount of fuel
  • Cooking without lard/water now reduces the weight of the burned food
  • Weapon sway increases while the character is rolling
  • Fireplaces start heating up the player character faster now

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Land Mine disappears after disarming
  • Text in controls is sometimes overlapping
  • Thrown Spears, Sharp/Long Wooden Sticks and Torches fall under the ground
  • Missing sound while base building or mining stones with Meat Tenderizer
  • Heavy/Special attack is not mapped correctly for the new control scheme and clashes with the new jump button
  • Missing "Controller disconnected" dialogue with MnK enabled
  • Player gets desynced when equipping weapon after cancelling equip animation before
  • When kindling/fuel items become ruined in fire, player is unable to add the same item before the ruined one disappears
  • Roasting sound effect remains with cooking equipment even after the roasting is done

Stickdrift is no longer a problem when looking/walking/aiming. Nice 👍🏻 but in inventory stickdrift is ridiculous

Also really pleased that voip toggle is back, though I met a guy in berezino and I'm not sure he could hear me. We parted ways. Then I met a guy at the camp West of berzino did the friendly wiggle. No voice and again, not sure if he could hear me. Anyway, he started swinging! We knocked each other out but I was lucky enough to wake up first. So, fifty fifty friendly/hostile so far!

The controller sensitivity is broken after the update 1.17.

 

Maxing out all the new sensitivity options still feels like stock settings and is to slow.

 

Turning around takes almost 2 sec.

 

I AM UNINSTALLING THE GAME UNTIL THE HITFIX DROPS

Same Problem, if this is not going to get hotfixed i am done with the game.

 

i cannot believe how hey always bring new bugs in.

 

i love the game i would wish they would have more budget

Maxing out the sensitivity does not do anything it is still as if you had it in default, asking for a fix as fast as possible.

Why after multiple people reported it hasn't max turn speed been increased before release to Stable?its significantly slower than before. An option to remove stick acceleration & have 1:1 movement again would be nice. Its too slow to be playable for me. Please fix!

Please fix the sensitivity, I play on ps5 and I can bairly turn and everything is maxed. This needs fixed asap, I literally cant play like this. With everything maxed out, it is still less than half the sensitivity speed we used to have

Way to break DayZ on PS5. Camera Sensitivity options DO NO ACTUALLY APPLY, meaning it takes two full seconds to turn 180 degrees. This is unacceptable. I'll not play, but I'll spam till it's fixed. Roll out a game break and call it an update? For shame

PS5 DayZ camera is fully broken. Horizontal sensitivity options do not work on PS5. It's stuck on mid so it literally takes two full seconds to turn around. This is not ok on dayz. Unplayable bs.

Wish it would be possible in settings to give up movement and allow left stick to be used for inv management. Always used it not sure if its cos I'm a leftie but not liking right stick. 

Speaking of that since the patch drift of the right stick in the inventory is really annoying. You also can't hold it up/down to quickly move up and down any more for some reason so it's annoyingly slow...

The issues with the sensitivity not working needs fixed ASAP! Also the dead zone adjustment needs to be separate from the sensitivity adjustment. As it stands now (only for ADS as changing the other sensitivities literally does nothing accept maybe adjust dead zones) by lowering the ADS sensitivity it also increases the controller dead zone requiring further movement of the thumb stick before it registers. I have mine maxed out and it feels right for ADS and also has a very low dead zone to it, but the two adjustments need to be independent of each other. Form what I experienced adjusting the other sensitivities only had an effect on the dead zone. Would love to have someone else verify this.

Another thing that seems changed and not for the better is how VRR is implemented at least on the PS5. Prior to the update the Selective mode was the sweet spot as most screen tearing was eliminated and I didn't notice any drop in frames. Now when selective is enabled it doesn't seem to eliminate any screen tearing at all and VRR fully enabled tanks the frame rate of the game.

PS5: 

- Sensitivity sliders don't seem to work

- Character models STILL stretching and deforming

- When running out of stamina when sprinting while 'zoomed in' it quickly unzooms and zooms back in. Very annoying if you have low stam.

- Inventory controls are an absolute disaster, I don't know what you have done but 'CIRCLE' to 'combine' items always closes the inventory while combining. I can't even be bothered trying explain the other inventory inconsistencies in behaviour, not really sure how to, to be honest, just isn't right while tabbing through items in proximity/hands.

- 'HOLD SQUARE' to drop items from dead zombies to ground doesn't seem to work either. I'm sure this is an old bug.

- Frame rate issues after playing over time prompting a restart of the game on the PS5 to clear. This one was introduced in 1.16 I think.

- STILL experiencing loss of sound, shortly following by a game crash.

Why can I still not place a tent/fence anywhere that isn't absolutely, perfectly flat!? Do you want me to use tents/basebuild? Just change that back to 1.09 era behavior please!

3000 hours and I haven't played since 1.16 release. Guess I'll wait until 1.18 then, see if you can fix it then.

I love this game, but I've made it. I'm at the end of the DayZ tether. For the first time after years of following this community I'm going to say it...

Fix your game before adding new stuff.
