Thundermight 43 Posted November 25, 2020 As soon as this 1.10 patch releases i've been hearing alot of complains about lag and sometimes a disconnect. Right now, fighting zombies is awkward, fighting players is dangerous and driving is impossible. Can someone explain about that? Is it an known issue? How shall we proceed? This is a gamebreaking issue.
Steinmarder 3 Posted November 25, 2020 Seems to be an older issue that resurfaced - see here And that post hinted at the official hives being the source of the problem - as any private hives were unaffected. Can anyone confirm wether this only affects official servers? I am not playing on any private ones currently.
Thundermight 43 Posted November 25, 2020 Yeah, i checked feedback section and besides many reports of that, no one has answers. It's just absurd that is a REPORTED ISSUE for a week already and nothing was said. Unlike that gas stove bug, this is a groundbreaking bug and does make the game unplayable.

Steinmarder 3 Posted November 25, 2020 I validated my files - all checked out. However, I also did some more in-depth latency measurements and I am actually getting ping spikes there! So at least in my case, it may have nothing to do with DayZ! I contacted my provider again with screens of the measurements. Test your latency here: https://www.wieistmeineip.de/ping/ You will get a graph after a 10s measurement showing your actual ping curve over time. Connection is to a server center in Frankfurt, Germany, where many big farms are so its pretty representative for your gaming connections in Europe. If you do get any spikes above 300 -> kick is legit.

James Adam Rimmer 13 Posted November 26, 2020 Can confirm....Fighting zombies is truely hit or miss.....sometimes they are moveing around just fine, other times they are like trying to fight ghosts. Iv got a video of me being hit 2 whole car lengths away by a zombie, on a whim I swung my pick ax at the zombie, and he just dies like I actually hit him.....then he teleports the whole two car lengths away right in front of my face and falls down.....wtf???? There is an answer to your question - the developer is aware of the problem and is working on solving the problem.

But still, we still stuck on same issue (server performance) since patch release (18 november) almost 10 DAYS of this gamebreaking issue and nothing besides "we know it is bad" was said. Unbelievable!
