Does Blue Screen on PS4 need a fix ASAP?

I personally was wondering how many other people is annoyed with the fact the Blue Screening is still a major issue on PS4 but yet the crashes on PC has been resolved already. The question at hand is "Do you think the Blue Screen/Game Crashing issue needs a fix ASAP?".

Not sure if this was real but I heard that a disc copy of this game is coming out. Would that fix the issue ? I'm not a tech person.

Sorry for the late response. Personally I highly doubt the disk will fix the issue, as this wasn't an issue with the game until the most recent patch (1.05). Before patch 1.05 the game would stutter alot when entering a large city or shooting your weapon especially if it was a full auto gun. The reason the game was stuttering and such was due to the frame rate dropping suddenly because the game was trying to load everything in (Including Textures, and Zombies along with all the loot) in that area which is devastating as of now on the Consoles as the regular PS4 will run DayZ at roughly around 30 FPS (Frames Per Second). I think they was attempting to fix this issue in patch 1.05 because i've noticed it doesn't freeze at all when entering a town but things render with really bad textures occasionally until you get right on top of them, and god forbid you look down your scope as half the things aren't loading in all the way and that forces them to which leads to a Blue Screen almost immediately from my experiences. I personally like they was trying to fix the issue with the optimization but they need to fix this Blue Screen issue asap. It could be something with the standard PS4 hardware because my friend bought a PS4 Pro last night and he hasn't Blue Screened once but I highly doubt that's the case. I believe it's something with the game, however it could be the new optimization they've attempted to bring since a PS4 Pro will run DayZ at almost 40 or 50 FPS which means it won't crash nearly as much from aiming down scopes and such compared to a Standard PS4.

So i'm currently attempting to help my allies by overwatching tents where my buddy was killed by a guy we've had multiple problems with. In the process I sniped a guy (Without Blue Screening) and then had at least 8 Zombies on me which I shot with my KA-M. So after about 10 shots I bluescreen and spawn back in to see a black screen, and at this point I figured I was dead but thankfully I woke up and only had 2 cuts but Red Blood. I patched up one of the cuts popped a Saline then patched the other cut up and passed out again. About 2 seconds later I woke back up and thankfully survived but the point is I almost lost a fully geared player (Once again) to these devs not giving console a bit of attention. FIX THE FXCKING BLUE SCREEN!

I have 2 ps4s. My living room is pro with a new 2t ssd. The frequency of blue screens is not different. The frequency did not change from the standard drive to the new ssd either. I have gotten blue screens since release. It has nothing to do with the console itself. I am thrilled that more people started getting blue screens too. Maybe now it will get fixed. I got tired of running the channels of Sony Subsidiaries and Bohemia long ago.

Had a few Blue screens recently for the first time. Each time while the Server Loaded and not in actual game. All official servers 2350 or 4466.

yesterday i found my first tundra even with hunting scope, wow. 

when i just snipe first zombie blue error appeared.......with 527 never happened :)

Not a chance.

Disk copie is just the exact same thing than  PSN one, exact same 0 and 1.

The only difference is data reading rate of internal drive is far higher than blue ray one.

In fact, if game is not fully installed from blue ray to internal drive, reading speed will be lower than with digital copie that is fully on internal drive, meaning maybe more in game freeze due to loading game materials from blue ray disk when you travell the map and cities...

I agree with Kaneda.  

IMO, either they are expecting 1.06 will fix some of the bigger issues on console or they are just going to continue this "business as usual approach" as they have been.

I'm rarely one to Don the tin foil hat and suspect conspiracies or such, but this is looking more and more like a money grab to me or perhaps they really are ignorant to the fact of just how many these issues affect.

.....fyi, I was a little miffed this morning to see that they moved a thread asking for BI to open their communication to the community to the "Console Update" sub forum where traffic is essentially dead.  ....with no link.  An obvious attempt to bury it short of deleting.

The blue screen issue is not console related, it's the server and how it talks to your consoles.

It happens when the NET CODE of the game isn't properly handled between the server and console. The console then does not know what to do with missing or conflicting information, loses synchronisation with the server and closes the app (Dayz).

Anyone who knows anything about programming net code knows it happens because it has not been fully optimised for the device the app is being run on.

I blue screened twice yesterday in a short space of time, it happened when I was on my usual server but there were about 45 players on, so it came as no surprise it blue screened on me.

.....yeah, 20 days later they say they are "investigating".

I know they are listening because they still respond with silly gifs in a sea of tweets talking about when they are going to fix all the issues including the blue-screens since 1.05 release.  The problem is their lack of communication to the community.   .....the acknowledgement of the persistent bugs / problems people have been reporting, their status, etc. 

The below Tweet didn't help back in September but at least I figured they might actually come through this time and fix some of the long standing bugs.  Instead, now we (those who are affected) still encounter those same issues we did before and I now get more freezes / blue-screens than I did prior to 1.05.

......so now maybe they'll fix the more frequent blue-screens caused by 1.05 but then we're right back to square one with all the other problems they have still yet to address.

Look man, before 1.05, Played this game a heck ton, rarely got any crashes, back in like june playing this game it was laggy in cities and full autos lagged the game but compare to whats been going on, I gladly welcome those days back.  Like I use to do 14- 18 hour sessions with the basic bugs, not being able to pick up things or seeing things people dropped but these 

 

"Blue screens and HARD crashes (when the screen just freezes ) " and it happens on a server with no players and you're fighting a zombie and you get killed by such nonsense, its very disheartening, I can't imagine somehow they fixed the rendering blobs and broke the game in general, at this point its looking best to just play on pc, I hope you got the dayz bug and you just move over to the superior place to play, If I had a pc that could run the game well, I would switch over to that . Its evident console isn't the place for this game anymore, It has a wide scope, A amazing concept but it needs more man power. I like this game, I had fun playing this game, I wish this game ran better on ps4 and It probably wont happen, And then if they don't fix this 

How will that impact the dlc launch? Not that im getting that , Good luck man.

Up until 1.05 , I rarely ever blue screened or hard crashed for any reason in this game on ps4, And now it happens so often I can't even play on my main character , and you can see the reflection of the game because every new home server we pick just starts dying, And we have to pick up and move again to find the population. 

Just good luck, I hope they can fix it but I have no expectations I guess, I really wish this genre was big and a triple a team or something would get behind it because the resources could really make this game shine bright.

I have nearly 3000 hours of DayZ on PC and now have it on the PS4 because of health issues meaning I can not use my PC. I do not like the game any less and actually prefer some platform ways of playing the game. I am quite happy to let Bohemian continue to Iron out issues with Sony and both can do nothing about poor internet connections and as a game still in its infancy will continue to report issues for the better of the game. If it is still an issue in two years time I might start getting annoyed but its been five months and the three I have had DayZ PS4 it has improved a lot.

I'm sure whoever said no, wont want to talk about it here.

I answered yes, even though it doesn't affect me anywhere near as often as other players. But it definitely needs fixing soon as it's very inconvenient and can result in losing your progress. I've only blue screened once I think when I was running from a zombie. Luckily, a friend dispatched the zombie before it hand chance to kill my unattended being.

It was kind of an odd poll to be honest. I think it would have been better to ask who is affected by the problem or how frequently people are (e.g. never, rarely, frequently, etc.).

Again today I have the first four attempts at logging into a server all result in a Blue screen. Reported all four which were two attempts at an officiall server 9994 and two attempts at community server UKDZ. Tried a different server Official 2350 and I had six flawless hours. Annoying yes but once in it was great.

I voted no for two reasons.  First, I play on PC and never get blue screens so I don't care if it's fixed ASAP.  Second,  this is a ridiculous poll because it's a loaded question.  Also, "asap" is pretty ambiguous.

Why u Vote in a PS4 Thread when u only play on PC?  U must Know we can´t realy Play because this BlueScreens. So go back to your PC Forum and Vote there for something similar.
