Also, jackets, pants, vests (including ballistic and press), raincoats, hatchets, guns, suppressors, gun mags, and knives as far as I know. Sledgehammer and Pickaxe are useless atm. Ionno. Just found out you use Pick Axe for horticulture. Other uses unknown atm. Cars are a waste of time if you're not a pro at driving or they get fixed. Nice bait tho. Yum. Learn how many items per stack. Ex. 6 Rags to a stack. Saves on inventory management when hoarding or loading up building materials. Get the hell off the coast. Optional. Screwdriver opens cans. You can put a pistol in a holster and then put the holster into a container and it won't count the pistol. Runonsentence? Finish any walls, watchtowers, etc in one session asap. Having the game crash, you log, etc before its done will most likely bug that wall or wt rendering it useless. Try not to place tents that are close to full next to walls, etc. You don't want that lag. That shits almost insane. Individual Vicinities need to be smaller and more accessible. Cable to generator. Construction light to cable. Turn on generator. Cycle up or down at construction light to turn on. Build next to pre-made structure for free loot? Kinda crazy, right? Your weapon is jamming because your mag is ruining. Duck tape it again, fool. Did I tell you about the Duck Tape trick yet? You probably know it already. My arm erects to 36 inches when carrying barrels, tents, etc on occasion. I got arm pics. You make a pocket shotty. Chopping trees gives a delayed sound sometimes. You can pour water into barrels from canteen, etc. You can't make a fire in the rain unless you have a barrel. Poke holes first. Use bark, fool. And Duck Tape. Don't forget the Duck Tape. My base got raided. It's now a pvp zone lol ? Dropping a barrel from hand by holding Y is no beuno. When your highlighted container disappears, put your equipment gun in hand. You can saw planks from plank spawns with a hatchet. The hatchet is the best tool. It's acts as a axe, hammer, and saw. It can be repaired with de Duck Tape. When not in Inventory holding X drops item from hand. With shovel or axe in hand, RT to toggle garden patch for horticulture. All fences built before 5/12/18 are now gates. o.0 Chlorine Tablets don't work anymore. Can't add camo netting to fences built before 5/12/18. I know how to make green ghillie ;) New hud is great. Prefer the fork tho. M3S is in? Finding parts for it. Slice rotten produce before eating it. It should be double tap A to grab and drop items, not hold A. Please fix the day night cycle. TheYetiBum 790 Posted December 5, 2018 (edited) Also weapons can now be fixed with duct tape as well as mags not just weapon repair kits. also If your inventory bugs and you can't scroll down but can scroll up past equipment bar and to the container you want , then take equipment slot weapon to hands and back to equipment slot again & voila you will now be able to scroll down again. TheYetiBum 790 Posted December 5, 2018 (edited) Also if your new to the game or DayZ in general then Rule number 1 of DayZ is, DO NOT carry your weapon in hands unless in combat or when faced with another random player with a weapon in hand. It's a general rule that there is no honour lost killing a player actively carrying a gun in hands, it has worked this way since the mod days. Even players who role play as hero's will assume your hostile and KOS, if you equip your gun to your back or even better leave space in your bag people will treat you as less of a threat. If you use your top most quick slot and equip your gun to that , you can simply tap Y and this will auto draw said gun so it leaves you at no disadvantage as the draw time is almost instant. Also any military zone or police station is seen as an accepted PvP Zone so expect to kill and be killed on sight in those areas. Nobody goes there to make friends, so don't throw away your life and be overly trusting In these areas. I hope this helps those players who feel they are unfairly killed frequently, put that gun away and always have a microphone plugged in as many players will kill people who don't communicate there intentions. TheYetiBum 790 Posted December 6, 2018 The grainy effect onscreen at night is the gamma abuse overlay designed to stop people cranking there contrast/gamma/brightness up. I've asked and many others if it's been added purposefully for console, it has. Night time is now impossible for me as even when turning my brightness down to lowest setting all I can see is the grain effect & day time looks like night time lol. Guess I'll be jumping of every server at night now, is anyone else having this issue? I have a cheap TV and used it on the game setting to increase refresh rates but in order to reduce brightness I've has to switch that off to begin with. But I gave up tweaking settings and just turned it back on & left night all together. Sucks as I enjoyed playing at night and now it's not an option. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
