Any container such as a cooking pot or ammo box etc can be buried, Along with the dry sack ( i believe its called) back pack.

On Xbox, you can bury the dry bag, it’s a small sack thing, the yellow hard cases and a dry bag back pack. The bags are usually found on the overturned boats along the coast. Just need to drop them on the ground where you want them buried and hold a shovel in your hands, then follow the prompt.

As far as I know you can bury cooking pots, waterproof containers and backpacks, small protective cases, and teddy bears. Not sure on regular backpacks, I think they have to be waterproof.
