Unable to sync data?

Just went to play and it is unable to sync data.  For starters, I'm not sure why there's anything to sync since I'm playing on the same console I last played on and I've only seen this message when switching consoles.  But it won't come up.  

Anyone else getting this?  I spent a couple hours playing last night and was getting pretty well equipped and would rather not start over again.

And now I see there are xbox service issues..  guess I'll just wait it out..

Ive been getting the sync issue on a bunch of games, but I press play offline and it eventually takes me to the menu, then I can play as normal

I just had the same issue, pressed play offline and it worked, huh had me panicin there

It was Xbox and now it's just gone down again for us in the UK.
