I'm watching a streamer now who's complaining about it, yet he looted starry and Novi and looted a total of 10 houses.

When you pattern yourself to the same houses , you're gunna have a bad time.

That is because a lot of the buildings in those towns are shitty. They don't spawn anything reliable. Not to mention I have been playing myself, and today I haven't really found anything but a couple sodas in the mini sheds. Yesterday, and Wednesday spawned a reasonable amount, but today is bleh.   Edit: LOL I am watching the same stream.

It has slightly gone down, but when people say they found nothing, they mean nothing useful to them.

I've found a good amount of ammo,pants, melee, and food.

Alot or people base the loot spawn being broken on weather or not they can get a gun quickly.

I am say that the loot has gone down a lot because I am not finding anything near Tisy, Stary Yar, and Krasnoe. :P

You're going to say that you did no leave a single item? Not a jacket, pair of pants, hockey stick?

You're saying in 2 hours you did not see ONE item?

Again, this streamer has passed by multiple clothing, eaten about 20 cans of food and drink in 30 minutes, passed melee weapons, has over 100 rounds of ammo on him and 2 mags.

Yet, hes still going on about loot sucking. His partner has 2 shotguns and a sporter, but ya know....Loot sucks.

Sad thing is, they get their chats riled up and they blindly riot in the "loot is broken" chants. So frustrating

Edit: they just left 2 PU scopes and a rangefinder. "Loot is garbage"

I hope devs don't take opinions into account, only numbers. I for one am hyped. It should take hours to get the kit you want.

Really? You think a hockey stick is useful? Oh, and yes I have passed up many checkered 2 slot shirts. However, guess what? I already have one. How is any of these items useful? It can be considered trash loot to me. xD I wouldn't mind it if there was more variety in the "trash". Yet, there isn't; when I see the SAME shirt and meat cleaver like 20+ times it's annoying.

I don't care for guns, and ammo. I am more of a player that likes to find interesting clothing. Fashion > Camo. :D Also, someone is dying to find two slot shirts that spawn like everywhere and in bundles? xD

I'm not saying it's fully balanced but it's so much better than 57. I played 57 tonight and never left berezino yet had an akm + drum mag + 2 30 round mags and an ak74u+mags minutes after I respawned.

 

In exp. since the last update I'd say I've played 10 hours and I'm thrilled to finally have a magnum (before that I had a shotgun.)

 

Obviously there's still some balancing to do but 58 is vastly superior to 57 despite everything.

From what I've noticed it's more of a hit and miss. I can pass through a town without finding anything except "trash" loot but on the next town its like heaven.

I think the general goal should be loot distribution similar to the mod.

 

I think it's a dangerous topic because people swing too far in either direction, and like patches in the past people say others are just crying when in fact the mechanic is broken.  I'm not saying that's the case this time, but being a zealot in either direction doesn't help the game at all.

I kinda miss the NWAF being *THE PLACE* to go. that long trek from the coast in the vanilla mod, and knowing full well that odds of running into well equipped PvPers goes through the roof near the airfield. Its a double edge sword tho. Having an infinite supply of all the best stuff stay in one place may have drawn a lot of folks in, but it was both unrealistic and steered gameplay into an 'arena deathmatch' direction that wasn't particularly what it should've been.

Loot distribution is cool but it's not enough. I managed to get weapon,ammo, food, bottle, some tools in less than an hour on medium pop server. But it felt too easy.

We need zombies. What I want is to be hard to get that item that you finally find. I want to fight zombies for every can of bacon. I want to feel tired after I played few hours, not bored.

I hope we get that feeling again soon.
