Kit to convert AK to bullpup

Recommended Posts

I gotta ask...why?  The example you show is either longer or the same size as an AK.  What would it add if it was in game?  A different looking AK that needs new animations.  Maybe it'd be slightly shorter for storage reasons.  Would there really be a bunch of these laying around Chenarus?

No, but there are a lot of things you can say that about.

For this bullpup conversion, it would require a whole new model, that's not something they can make as a proxy attachment. In addition it won't do anything differently from the current AK variants. That's not a big deal since the same can be said of many weapons, but these bullpup conversions are also not common enough to make a good case that it's necessary to include them for reasons of authenticity. Finally, there are very similar weapons that have already been adopted by militaries and which would be more popular additions, for example the Groza-1. So it's unlikely.

Looks cool but I gotta say no for the reasons stated by BigMike.

Pointless. There's a compact AK, and that's the AKs-74u. That's all that's needed.

Gonna go ahead and call you out on that, you're entirely wrong, firstly, variety is the spice of life, there can always be more guns, just some belong lower on the priority scale, secondly, and most importantly, the AKS-74 is entirely different to a compact AKM/compact 7.62x39 weapon. I'm not really keen on the Groza but it would be nice to have as variety.

if they have to make a whole new model and animation wouldn't you rather have something besides some kit AK maybe a famas i know they are french but they kick ass or a FN-FAL, or a G3 since we have an H&K already i think the famas shoots 5.56x.45 the others should be chambered in .308

We already have a 5.56 bullpup though; the Steyr AUG, and it's far more reasonable than a FAMAS. Before a FAMAS I'd rather see a TAR-21, FN F2000, or even an MSBS Radon first if they're going to do more 5.56 guns in that category. But really, the only ones you could call "necessary" are the Groza, Vepr, A-91, or something Eastern.

But my guess is that any new bullpup ARs they add will use the AUG animation as a basis, so I doubt that's too much of a problem.

What? Only two people before you brought up the Groza, and OP suggested an AK-to-bullpup conversion, not a new rifle. I'm pretty sure people have been talking about the Groza here since 9x39mm SP-6 rounds were implemented.
