St. Jimmy 1631 Posted July 23, 2015 There are people who like it and people who doesn't like it, maybe having it enabled in 3rd person servers and remove it from 1rst person server would be an option, or maybe making an standard/hardcore servers would be another option, but for that we'll need four types of servers, 1rst person with and without crosshair, 3rd person with and without crosshair.Even the 1st/3rd person split is too much IMO and splitting those two would be way too much.
blacklabel79 949 Posted July 23, 2015 (edited) That ..... sounds an awful lot like cheating, mate.well...in Red orchestra 1 there was this "bug" where after sprinting your weapon was deadcenter, making hipshooting supereasy and ofc raised suspicions when you watched others via spectator. I do belive alot of People used the "dot in the middle" on their Screen for even more help. Edited July 23, 2015 by {Core}BlackLabel

Wili 156 Posted July 23, 2015 Even the 1st/3rd person split is too much IMO and splitting those two would be way too much. Maybe is too much but I really would like a hardcore version of the game, first person, where you don't have a crosshair, without vicinity tab, and without being able to access your backpack while sprinting.
gibonez 3633 Posted July 23, 2015 What looks better. The current crosshair hip fire shooting that makes it possible for hip firing out to hundreds of meters. or forced free aim with no crosshair aka this
rybec 339 Posted July 24, 2015 That ..... sounds an awful lot like cheating, mate.I bet you never used an old Ironman brand watch to keep timers on powerup respawns in Quake I&II either.

I actually did that once to speed up my quickscope skills while grinding through a sniper mission on MW2 on the highest difficulty; took me weeks to wash off the cheater stench. Would never dream of doing it on multiplayer games, unless I had suffered some brain trauma. What looks better. Maybe laser sights will eventually help out with hipfire fanatics.

atempleton 123 Posted July 25, 2015 I liked the dot - was great for interactions with objects, but this crosshairs business makes hip firing too easy.I do feel part of the reason people don't aim fire much though is because how clunky and slow it is. ARMA 3's ability to jog whilst aiming down the sights is far smoother and less cumbersome, AND more realistic.
q.S Sachiel 470 Posted July 26, 2015 I still love how Arma3 is functional and has less bells and whistles, while in DayZ people scream and complain about the most inane things (like the 3pp and the default 'eye zoom' - which by the way are in Arma3 and no one complains about this), and putting something in the centre of your screen is a task that requires a tertiary certificate (or a bloated and un-necessary crosshair). Sometimes i don't know what the hell these dev's are thinking.
