hooligun 39 Posted July 21, 2015 (edited) LEAVE ALL LIGHTING/GAMMA ISSUES ASIDE PLEASE :) I've searched but couldn't find anything related. have the devs stated what their plans are for turning your headlamp and gun light on? unless i'm a huge noob, but i'm pretty sure right now you have to navigate through your inventory just to turn on your headlamp and your gun light. seems like too much work and defeats the purpose of how ergonomic these tools were designed. thanks Edited July 21, 2015 by hooligun
Mookie (original) 799 Posted July 21, 2015 They need batteries... We used to have batteries. Then they were taken away from us. There are no batteries in 0.57. Seriously.
boneboys 7988 Posted July 21, 2015 It is cumbersome the need to go through the inventory to turn on head torch/lamp or pistol flashlight on/off. Legacy resolves to L = lights on, which is reserved to vehicle class. It is my belief that there will be a more player friendly option to the above question.

boneboys 7988 Posted July 21, 2015 i noticed you have your headlamp on your hotbar, does that serve any purpose?Lamp on head is much more efficient than torch in hand, allows for hand held weapon at the same time (in contrast to the torch) not forgetting free look possibilities. Still have to go through the "menu" to turn on.

matiman 166 Posted July 22, 2015 Also why is there a rectal thermometer on your hotbar ? :o...hum wait... nevermind, don't really want to know
klesh 2423 Posted July 22, 2015 I am almost certain a simple scroll of the mousewheel reveals the menu on the left where you can turn on your headlamp or flashlight.
hooligun 39 Posted July 22, 2015 I am almost certain a simple scroll of the mousewheel reveals the menu on the left where you can turn on your headlamp or flashlight. yeah but not weapon flashlights, which imo should be the easiest/quickest light
deadjuice 64 Posted July 22, 2015 I am almost certain a simple scroll of the mousewheel reveals the menu on the left where you can turn on your headlamp or flashlight. Not for headlamp, that does need to be turned on in inv. But the flashlight should easily be able to be turned on with the middle mouse/scroll button.Unless they changed it in experimental or something. I remember being a bambi with a flashlight waving around, and some axe-fiend attempted to accost me in the dark with an axe. A quick scroll of the mouseweel, and darkness enveloped us, giving me time to dart down an adjunct allyway. They need batteries... We used to have batteries. Then they were taken away from us. There are no batteries in 0.57. Seriously.I swear I've found a few.But I'm also particularly lucky. ...and play the game most of the time while drinking a few beers.Maybe I've been licking potatos all along, and stupidly mashing the innards into random slots in electronic gadgets.

In that case, perhaps you're like those who swear they've found M4s. Just incredibly lucky in a way that isn't reproducible in the case of 99.9% of the rest of the player base. Just being able to loot almost every building on a huge map. it's incredibly addicting for me.i will spend hours going from town to town, looting the shit out of things [leaving behind things I don't need: I'm not a complete ass].I get bored of PVP, of survival, of player interaction. But I never get bored looting stuff. So, I see a lot of items. The only loot i don't see are high end military gear like M4s and AUGS, because I tend to stay away from military installations, and just hit towns no one thinks to. boneboys 7988 Posted July 25, 2015 i noticed you have your headlamp on your hotbar, does that serve any purpose?2nd quote. Just tested and in fact having the headlamp in the hot bar serves no purpose whatsoever. It may have worked when I added my sig, buggered if I can remember now.Oh well, never mind.
