Have it in a backpack and use it in emergency situations, or make sure you're cooled off enough to go out and use it. Get soaking wet in ponds to cool off.

And the reason you lost it on restart is because (I think) persistence is disabled for now. (Not including vehicles)

It's not meant to be worn 24/7. It's meant for when you're sneaking/sniping. When you're moving around normally you should take it off.

Yep. You have two options:

Lug the Ghillie around with you everywhere or just keep enough mats on hand to craft one whenever you need it.

In all honesty, the Ghillie suit won't really be a great item until full persistence is implemented and you can keep it stashed in a tent or hidey hole until you need it.

It dosent make any sense.Let's say persistence is working very good and i keep my ghillie in a hidey hole near Gorka. When do i know i need to take that ghillie from Gorka ? Let's say i see a guy in Polana.I go back 2km to take my ghilie ? No way . In this case, why they implemented ghillie ?

Obviously you would take your Ghillie with you, with the intention of hunting players. You're never going to have a situation where you have that suit with you unless you decide to lug it around the map everywhere.

It is meant to be highly situational. Maybe you're protecting some friends as a sniper while they loot a village, etc etc. It isn't meant to be your only wear permanently. You can use it that way, but you're gonna make life hard for yourself.

A ghillie suit is a piece of equipment.

OF course, if you are laying down in the same spot for two days on a mission or something like that, you should be fine.

But constantly moving in a ghillie Is a nono.

Once persistence is enabled, I will have a ghillie around me at all times somewhere, and when I have to use it I just set my things down and put it on.

Put on a real ghillie suit and do a couple laps, then go complain to (your chosen Deity here) about the heatstroke you're gonna get.  It's not meant to be everyday wear or pretty much all soldiers would be required wear them, not just the guys who sit/lie motionless for hours at a time.

This ^

But also, if you're gearing yourself in appropriate clothing you won't have an issue with Camo. I regularly hide from people quite easily just using basic camo. Yesterday I just lay in the grass just off the road as a team of 5 ran past, easy peasy. Could have shot any of them easily.

Greens, blacks, browns and a mixture of all three is best.

In my humble opinion the thing is completely useless and I don't bother with it anymore. The range at which you'd generally be using it means that the renderer isn't going to be drawing out all the things that you think are making you hard to see. I want to sit back and watch what's going on... and I stick out like a fire cracker because the root I think I'm blending in with doesn't even show up over 100 meters away... all the bushes and ground clutter I think I'm being smart around don't even exist. You LITERALLY look like you're laying out in the open- if you're on a slope then your body is levitating.

And the time required hunting down all the burlap and netting you need?

F that and F the whole idea. If you're depending on a ghillie to make yourself hard to see then you're definitely doing it wrong. OR (I admit) you're doing it right.

Unlike convention- the ghillie can perform remarkably well when you're in closer... under 100 meters or so. The problem is that if you're being all sneaky beaky in close- someone can always see you laying out in the open from a distance. Most guys I've come across in here who know what they're doing insist that the headgear and maybe gunwrap are as far as they'll take the ghillie. The only thing I've found it serves to do is insist to anyone who DOES see you in transit- no matter what your intentions- will kill you with EXTREME prejudice. Try talking yourself out of a jam with one on, or in your backpack when you're told to unload your gear... pretty much a death sentence without question for two reasons. 1) because you just saved a guy from having to find a million nets and 4 million burlap sacs or 2) because you're a homicidal sniping jagoff who should be chopped up into little bits and eaten raw at the expense of your assailants character's mental health. Whether the latter is true isn't really the point- except that will be the interpretation on almost every. Single. Encounter.

One thing I learned about this is that camo is like armour or personal protective equipment- it should be the last line of defense. Good situational awareness and proper consideration of shine, shadow, silhouette, speed, surroundings sound and colour are important to your survival. If you're that worried about being seen avoid contact... If you think some poorly rendered shrub on your head that causes you to overheat when you blink is your solution... Well- I dare say that you're doing it wrong. And this time I really mean it.
