Red_Ensign 990 Posted May 27, 2015 All you need to survive in .57 is a shovel and a canteen. Hopefully I'll be hunting toadstools by then. and shoes
zeotrope 76 Posted May 28, 2015 I think the game is falling apart at this stage. Interest is dying fast. Forum activity is down by more than half compared to 6 months ago, its harder to find high cap servers and issues from the last year are still in the game. No one in my gaming group or steam friends list play this group and suggestions of dayz bring up the same groans and (albeit valid) complaints of a project that is behind. This game was Bohemia's most popular title in their history. They should be doing their best to keep interests high.couldn't agree more
Apollo'sFire 31 Posted June 9, 2015 Well here we are...again...Anybody have any news?
treetop82 59 Posted June 9, 2015 (edited) The only way DayZ developers will continue to push hard for a releasable, desirable final product is if they eventually charge a monthly subscription ($7.99/mo). If DayZ's final product doesn't require a per month subscription to play, and charges Alpha players very little for the final product, then the entire Alpha version of the game is the best you'll see, as Bohemia has already collected most of their earnings. If this second case is the reality, then you should see the developers start to leave and BI basically walk away from the project, never releasing a final product. I don't think we're there yet, but keep an eye on development as the game population goes down. That's just the math behind it. Businesses follow the money. If there is no money to be made in a final release in two years, then it just won't happen. The stock will be sold at it's highest value. With all that being said, I still love this game. I've earned my $35.99 back 10 times over. I'd pay a monthly subscription to play. I want to raid camps, get in shoot outs, survive the harsh weather, deal with diseases, build my own bases, control territory and stuff an entire bag of rice down a bambi-killer's throat. Killawife 599 Posted June 10, 2015 I just wish all the things that once worked will work again at 100%, its so damn annoying to find all the tools needed to do something and then that mechanic is bugged, even though it worked in patches before. Also that the legbreak bug and spinal bone situation is fixed. Other than that, if there is loot, I wil play.
