Why change the Mosin

Recommended Posts

again the holes are allready there but its fun that you ask me consithering I do have the education to drill holes aqnd even use CNC machines

Don't take me wrong, but your education seems pretty questionable with all that very bad grammar and the assumption that a gun will function just perfect if you randomly drill a hole or two in its barrel.

I asked you if you can build that same setup in the picture you provided, and you said you can. So yes, we are talking about the whole thing and not just the bipod

I don't think they made new production mosins. They do re-arsenal old mosins for export.

Molot made a small run of Mosin nagants and a few older Russian rifles a few years back to see if it was economically feasible.

Why do you guys ask about the PC setup?

Isn´t anyone confused by "My little Pony" stuff in the same picture with a rifle?

No hard feelings about that cheese... I like cheese.

Was it considering the amount of real ones mothballed that they're happy to sell us westerners?

Not confused at all.  You saying a man can't enjoy a gun and a cartoon?

And this is why the devs shouldn't let the masses tell them about guns. People like these have no clue what they are talking about.

Alright, to answer a few questions, Yes, that is my rifle, she is a Tula armories ex-sniper, made in 1943. No, that isn't my desk top, spare case in my living room, Yes, there is an MLP package there, look at my title, and the girl friend is also into the show.

Proving my point. General public (USA aside) have zero knowledge about guns, mounting optics to guns that have no factory rails; let alone getting it to hold zero.

You neither have the know how nor the material.

QFT. Some of theses forum goers have not no idea what they are talking about. The bipod in the OP's pic would be pretty easy to put together as long as you have all the pieces, heck I reload my own ammo for my M44 "carbine" made in '44 for hunting and I get 3 in groupings at 100 yds. It's pretty easy as long as you aren't a dumbass.

Then again how plausible would it even be to find such an obscure bipod for that gun specifically. It would make little sense to find such a bipod in game.

Again, what are you basing this off of?

Just because you say something that's available for purchase on one of the most popular marketplaces on the internet (read: Amazon) is "implausible" doesn't make it true.

That and the bipod above is absolutely generic. It's just a clamp mechanism that requires the tightening of a few Allen bolts around a tube.

Do you guys thing this might be a balance thing?

As far as realism or plausibility why in the hell can't you throw your backpack in front of you while laying prone and not only lower your profile, provide some protection from rocks and debris "splashing" you if someone shoots at you and misses, and use it as a rest.

I could totally see someone in Chenarus with no running water, an outside toilet, yet a PC in their house ordering gun accessories of Amazon though because... hillbillies.

Barrel mount bipods are all over the place and are adjustable to almost any barrel diameter. They should include barrel mount bipods and thus allow most guns to be steadied.

Or even a stick with a Y in it will work for a stand up stabilizer.

Pardon spelling, cell keyboard.

Edited to include pictures

Because this Mosin-Nagant is highly modified.

Everything on that gun is aftermarket, except its stock which looks fairly nice.

Picatinny rails on a Mosin-Nagant take alot of work to get right, and has to be done by a gunsmith

the ATLAS bipod uses Picatinny rails on the bottom of the stock which they do not make stocks for those for the Mosin-Nagant.

Now Archangel™ is a aftermarket stock maker which could be utilized to mkae your Mosin-Nagant TACTICOOL!

archangel-mosin-9.jpg

Lame.

This would take a gunsmith to do as well but you could probably do it by yourself as the Mosin-Nagant is a simple creature.

I own the Archangel stock. Installation is EzPz, just 2 screws. Considering they're adding the .44 Deagle, a modernized stock doesn't sound super out of place.

You said you read everything, but I doubt you understood anything other than what you wanted to hear. Any gun can accept any accessory with modification; However, you wanted to know why  they are taking away the bipod and lrs from the mosin in game. And I told you why.

Also, disagreements does not equate to trolling.

That might be true that I did not fully understand you but in the end this post from the start was all about why the bipod was removed from the mosin.

Now I did not mention anny names about trolling matter fact I prefer to have people dissagree with me because that do open up coverstations but when people do start to question my intelect to more or less stop the coversation we have here thats when I start to think the person might just be another forum troll.

So let make this clear for us all by posting my intial question again abit more clearer now

if you have a bipod like the one on the Mosin on the Picture do you Think a man/woman that know how to handle a screwdriver can put it in a mosin?

Yeah, well i agree , why cant the bipod be on the mosin, blah blah all the , "it's not what the real one is like" , the point is?.. Its a game and i don't think zombies are real either, but they are there.

There are screw drivers all over the place bipods aren't as easy to come by , so why not have to use the screw driver to mount it as you craft other things.
