Scarcifer 102 Posted April 18, 2015 (edited) some servers still have rain, or have rain again. I got rained on yesterday. This is probably due to them reverting back to old loot system. The break was/is probably due to new central loot economy(broke the coding some where when being integrated), Hence why some servers have rain and others do not. Excanto 336 Posted April 19, 2015 Hmm, when they installed .55 as far as I have seen, the drought began. They did some kind of update soon after because of issues with .55 patch as far as I can tell and it is some sort of a blend of things from .54 state of things and the .55 patch, but still a drought as far as I have seen. Since I started playing about 6 months ago, I have seen tons of rain, I have seen rain for 15 minutes real time, stopped for 1 minute and then rain for 15 more minutes. Usually rain is like 5-10 minutes. Fill up those canteens, get soaked, build a fire, warm up and back to damp, move on. It is very important right now to have bottles which hold more then canteens currently, and know where a water pump is that is fairly hidden from snipers and hordes of zombies. I really like to camp within a couple miles of a water pump. Go here and there and come back to camp stopping at the water pump to fill back up, getting full stomach of water before I leave it. Evil Minion 943 Posted April 19, 2015 It seems the weather is more forgiving in .55 - probable to mitigate shortages in clothing and some imbalance inside the loot economy. Imagine a climate like we had in the "winter patch" with very low temperatures and frequent rain on one of those bugged servers - people would freeze to death all the time.
