How can I tell where DayZ server is located?

Recommended Posts

Ive heard people talking about picking servers based on location. But when I look under Details for a server there is no indication. How can I pick a server based on location?

Or get the ip and check it on gametracker.com and it'll give you location and some population graphs and whatnot.

If the ping is 8 it is your next door neighbour. If the ping is 1000 it is from the Nazi Moon Base.

The trick here is not to actually pick the server by location - but by ping.

No need for extreme googling, just make sure you have a fairly low ping.

Yea, normally I do look at the server's ping. So I'm on the right track.

Thanks everyone.
