Draco122 412 Posted March 1, 2015 Because I didn't want to clutter the forum with thread ideas I'll just make this thread to list a variety of basic additions for DayZ standalone.Military Raincoat Variations (4 Slot camouflaged Raincoat Variations that spawn in Military Locations)Military Poncho, variation of a Raincoat that is a layer over all existing clothing items on a player with no slots (but preventing access to other slots when worn)Trench Coat, a thick leather trench coat with two slots, acts in a same way to the Poncho, is worn over existing clothing.Civilian Camouflaged Raincoats (in patterns such as Sky Blue, Bluerock, RedPunk, Fire, Red Squares, Snow Pattern, Bracken and DPM)Civilian variant of the M65 Field Jacket, a Faux copy of the M65 with a reduced storage space of 4 slots (over the originals 8)Addition of a "Flight Jacket" or "Flight Jacket with fur lining", same as Riders Jacket, 4x1 inventory slots.Alternative Riders Jacket (with brown or grey leather)A rare Residential/Civilian Jacket that has 6 slots, a Hunters Jacket for example (sharing similar camo patterns to the Hunter Pants)One piece, complete body clothing such as Boiler Suits/Overalls, Wet Suits and NBC rated HAZMAT Cleansuits (in Red, White, Yellow, Green, Orange)Allowing Military Boots to store other knives, tools and weapons (such as the Screwdriver, Kitchen Knife, Steak Knife, Hunting Knife and Derringer)Reintroducing the Grass Wrap and Burlap Wrap (as a less effective camo to the Ghillie Gun Wrap)Using Spray paint as a less-lethal weapon (blind foes temporarily, induces blurring of the screen with the colour of the spraypaint)Re-adding the "Down Jacket" as the "Thick Quilted Jacket", reducing it's storage space to 2x2 instead of 3x3 inside a backpackAddition of a Paramedic Bag (a larger version of a First Aid Kit, found only in Hospitals, spawns blood bags and Saline Kits)Addition of a Military Medic Bag (same as the Paramedic bag but is a rare spawn in Military Medical Tents)Addition of Toolboxes found in Industrial Locations and Fishing Tackle Boxes found in Resident/Civilian/Boats. Both can store random items, Toolbox is an 8 slot and fishing tackle box is a 6 slot.A modern composite fishing rod with fishing reel and line.A school Lunchbox, a small tin box, holds 4 slots.Office type clothes, we already have leather shoes, what about Office Pants, Office Shirt, Office JacketArmbands should be able to store items such as bandages, knives, glowsticks (even activated ones)Road Flares should be able to light fires even in rainy conditions
liquidcactus 719 Posted March 1, 2015 A leather trench coat with a gas mask would be pretty special <
star-lord252 83 Posted March 2, 2015 Yes. I like all of the ideas especially the lunch box one and tool maybe a suitcase like a small protector case but with more slots and less protection. It also has two variants small and large.
cash81 506 Posted June 12, 2015 Rain poncho is exactly what i was thinking about today. Have it take up one inventory spot like a boonie hat and have it able to cover you and your pack.Im sure they are going to eventually require clothing options for each weather scenario which would be welcome like morning/nights being colder so jacket and hat required. Middle of a sunny day would mean taking off the jacket in order to avoid heat stroke while running etc etc.
Funkmaster Rick 373 Posted June 14, 2015 All of these ideas make me happy.
Parazight 1599 Posted June 14, 2015 Using Spray paint as a less-lethal weapon (blind foes temporarily, induces blurring of the screen with the colour of the spraypaint) Seems unlikely that you'd be able to tell what color you were sprayed with, if sprayed in the eyes with paint. More likely, your eyes would be shut and burning. Not bad for the most part. Poncho idea has merit.
BeefBacon 1185 Posted June 14, 2015 I think devs took trench coats off the table. Bit of a shame.
