terrvik 2409 Posted February 25, 2015 thats funny because i have been playing the game for over a year...... Yeah, it can still work, but you shouldn't expect it to or be surprised when it doesn't. What's the issue? Might be something else that can be fixed.

franzuu 211 Posted February 26, 2015 just downloaded the new patch for dayZ and you made it so windows xp players can no longer play. i would like a fucking refund please if i cant play the fucking game anymore..... consider yourself lucky, I thought everyone lost the ability to launch the game on win xp when .53 came out. Just because it worked before doesn't mean it will in the future. It was never officially supported. Sorry.
OrLoK 16186 Posted February 26, 2015 Hello there A possible way is to contact Steam Support directly and if you are nice to them they will often give a one off credit note to your steam wallet. Pro Tip:Try to be a bit less ranty than you were here. FYI for various reasons, I too run XP on another machine but I dont expect to be able to play the latest games on it. Much like when XP came out there were many old favourite games that were incompatible. XP is a legacy OS, so be wary of trying to play modern games on it.
