truck glitches me underground

Hi, I was playing today after finally getting fully loaded with an akm, a few mags, same with the makorav, a ton of medical supplies, a nice backpack, food, drinks, I get into a truck and drive off, and out of nowhere, I get sucked underground. I can't get out. It killed me. What the heck?

Totally happened to me once too. Ended up just using the get out key binding to get out of truck then logged out. DOING SO RESET MY CHARACTER WITH SOME ADMIN WAS NOTIFIED ERROR. However I was out and able to play again. It sucks to lose all your gear but its par for the course.

Known issues:

- V3S can clip under ground in certain circumstances.

I am working on repeating these steps to bury a truck underground and will record the whole thing for the Dev's to take a look at. It typically happens off road more than on road from my experiences.

 

One tip I can share that I've noticed; when driving on a road, whether it be paved or dirt, try and stay away from over hanging trees. Even if you think you're not going to drive even part of the truck under the branches, make sure the truck is completely clear of these trees/branches. No matter what speed  i've been traveling at, Its like they "close line" the truck and make the truck dip below the road if I drive part of the truck under the tree. I have not gotten the truck completely stuck in the ground this way, but I thought I was a goner the first time this happened. 

 

As the OP is i'm sure aware of this, never get attached to your gear, especially if you get into a V3S at this stage in development.

The quantum superposition of a V3S may flip causing an anti-V3S to exist which is equal and opposite. Science is still working on a way to create anti-V3S in large quantities because it's potential is game changing and may lead to more vehicular options in the future. For great science!

• V3S = above ground and mobile
• anti-V3S = below ground and immobile

It just hapened to me today. I knew I should have left my magnum in the bag in the tree, but Murphy had his wishes.  The truck clipped underground and just kept on drining, the sound eventually faded out, and I knew what had to be done.  Taxi service can be a dangerous business.

i find the roads around the green mountain particulary dangerous. I sunk there 3 times.

Whatever you do, dont step out of the vehicle.

Once i got auto teleported back to the surface when changing 1pp view to 3pp and in other cases I hit exit (cause the view trick didnt work) and reconected on the surface.

Twice i had a passenger, it worked for him aswell. Might be worth mentioning the camera trick only worked when I drove over the edge of the map.

Reconecting worked everytime inland.

Expect some possible bugged stuff uppon reconecting; In my case my buddy had to reconect again.

Took the main highway west in my truck, past Prison Island by a mile or so. I decided to go off-roading at about 70km and me, my gear and my truck clipped right into the earth. I was pissed as I had all my favorite gear on and had finally found a truck.
