Characters will definitely wipe with .53. When .53 will drop is anyone's guess. Given how many concurrent experimental branches there currently are, though, I'd say they're pushing to get it out quickly.

I think its going to be a bit, but who the hell knows. I also heard that the reset is for public servers not private. I think it because there doing more security updates.

I kind of like the process of surviving as a fresh spawn and gearing up. Kind of looking forward to it. Can't wait to see the new prison.

I blew my load south of Berezino last night - after careful surviving for 3-4 weeks and narrow escapes (made a few friends along the way) I tried my hand at downing a squad of 3. I held my own and dropped 2 of them, I somehow missed that there were actually 4 guys. Someone can enjoy my various ghillie pieces, can opener collection, wrapped SKS with PU (I have a think for the SKS), shotty with lots of ammo, 2 handguns, etc. I wasn't the most happy with my entire kit (had a lot of trouble finding a mosin in all that time), but I'd traveled enough between castles looking for a sword and lived long enough that I definitely was ready for a reset. I zerged Elektro a few times after that death to join the infestation of filth there...

 

There's just something about knowing you've gotta wipe...

I have a ghillie too. That's one thing I do not want to lose lol It took me a while to get all the stuff together to make that. Pristine mosin with all attachments. The good news is really out side of the ghillie and mosin I don't have that much...cant carry anything any ways.

Maybe I should do the same, just take that avatar down to electro and pick people off til I get picked off. A blaze of glory lol

True, you're not going to find anything up there better than what he had already. Besides the killer stairs, I couldn't begin to count how many times I've been sniped while carelessly looting the firehall tower.

Ummmm....well shit looks like I missed my window of opportunity to go out with a blaze of glory on my 3pp avatar. It appears .53 hit stable which means my avatar is now wiped. Oh well. 2.5 months alive. A true survivor iron man. But mearly a virtual mortal that has passed on into the either. OK, flame away, but I'm still unclear as to whether there's been a wipe or not (I'm at work...). Some of the traders say Hicks had tweeted that there wasn't one - confusion with Exp builds?

I heard a couple of weeks ago there was going to be one as "public" reset. I did not see the post on dayz tv though. Yeah a confirmation would be good? I can't til later.

This is one case were I hope I spoke to soon.
