All you PVPers out there.

Recommended Posts

I want to ask you fellow pvpers a question. A question I'm quite confused about, and really concerned. Why is all the pvp in Cherno/Elektro? Seriously, can't you kids adventure around? Don't get me wrong, city like pvp is awesome, but not when everyone has 10 frames or lower. Friends and I would be in maxed player servers, and adventure to every single military base, and even at NW airfield, and not a single player even camps them any more. Did you all get lazy? Scared? Lost? I just find this game extremely boring now that pvp is only in one town mainly, and its always the one's you've spawned closer to. Grow a damn pair people!

I get good enough frames to PvP anywhere on the map, and my computer isn't super awesome.  You want us to accomodate you based on your pc performance.  Don't be so silly.

What's the topic?  Pvp?  Poor fps? Fighting in the cities?

Just for your enjoyment, I get 30 fps in cities so pvp is not an issue.

Because most of your "PvPers" are in fact server hoppers who come back to coastal areas to use the gear they got with almost no effort on freshspawns and just happen to bump into each other. The rest are people who know this and follow up for the PvP or freshspawns who paid the iron price. An added benefit is that you could also abuse the fast respawn to get back to your corpse after you died.

As long as server hopping/fresh spawn suiciding (aka teleporting around) doesn't get penalized the game dynamics will suck in this way.

 who paid the iron price.

Ah, another fan of ASOIAF! Books or show?

And I am totally going to use this phrase more in conversation now.

See now this is someone who actually knows how to answer a topic's question. Thanks Evil Minion, and yeah, it does seem that way. It's a real shame people must play like that.

Please refrain from the personal insults. There's really no need for that.

Thanks!

People PvP in cherno and elektro because of convenience. All of the weapon spawn points in buildings as well as police stations, firehouses and office\school buildings mixed with the southern spawn points makes it a perfect setting. There are sniper spots in and on buildings as well as the surrounding landscape, so it brings all kinds who want to test their skills against people who are equally as bloodthirsty as they are

Berezino/Novodmitrovsk are the WORST right now for KOS and sniper-bitches. cant go anywhere in Novo without being shot by some asshat sniper on the rocks.

first time seeing someone at NWAF in over a month of playing was yesterday with some clan buddies. }

now, when inland, zombies are more of a threat than players, really

I usually pvp in Cherno\Elektro\Berezino, the biggest reason is that if you log into a populated server in one of those cities you will find other players 99 out of 100 times. And personally I`m just not a huge fan of playing DayZ as a running simulator.

I do wander round. Had some PvP in Kamyshovo last night (I know we didn't wander too far from Elektro, but we were also bored of PvP in Elektro, and coincidentally didn't have to wander too far to find some).

I prefer inland PvP - coastal PvP gives you less of a rush (as you grow to expect it), is generally urban combat and has nothing-to-lose-freshspawns running around going for berserk punches.

Though in the end I hope the game will gradually evolve from running/looting simulator with PvP at key points to a game that features alterating phases of longer (but still challenging) PvE survival periods and shorter intense PvP fights (that could break out any second). The last experimental patch had elements of this.

Books or show?

Both - but technically I got the phrase from the show as I read the books in my native language.

same problem here, i hate those cities (crappy performance), we always run around the NWAF and the Military Compound at Veresnik, but it seems that there are less players each week. PvPing at the large airfield is such a big fun especially if it is squad on squad. You need to maneuver around your enemy, and take them out from behind. In the cities it is more like "let´s camp here for 2 hours, someone will run in our mosins..", whereas at the airfield, you shouldn´t hold your position for too long, and you have to know your zeroing distances over the whole place (Distances of over 400 meters are quite common). There are great spots to overwatch the entire airifeld and many ways to escape. All in all, it is big fun for all and that´s what gaming should be.

When i walk through the cities, 50% of times it is a *plink* "YOUR DEAD".... no thanks.

yes, but to get any weapons or any good stuff, you have to hop onto a low pop or risk getting shot.

i still go there occasionally, its my favorite city, even if it's over run by jerkoffs!

Seriously, can't you kids adventure around? I am 37 years old, I play all over the map. So.. wut?

Did you all get lazy? Ive always been lazy, what has my wife said about me now?

Scared? Um, its a video game.

Lost? Are you.. seems like it.

I just find this game extremely boring now that pvp is only in one town mainly, and its always the one's you've spawned closer to. I find it funny you would post here then. LOL

Grow a damn pair people! Yeah, that will effectively get everyone in dayz to follow your playstyle and make things easy mode for you. Just hang tight.. so many players are coming to where you are right now.

That was fun, whats next?  :|

Erhmawgawd another shit talker on the forums, and he's over 12. The maturity level is low on this one.

I also like this part, you insist on trash talking, with out actually reading my post carefully. I didn't ask for people to follow my play style (btw two words) I asked why people only pvp in certain areas. Was that not clear enough? Easy mode? Wandering around the entire map, waiting for the unexpected, hoping to cross paths with other random players and then shooting it out, in a random area is easy mode? Seems like your easy mode is just hiding in a corner waiting for someone to run by. (as one of your videos show) Must be a COD player. And again, read the post carefully as it states I adventure around, as in there is no "hang tight".
