PM-73 in Police Stations?

It's one of the more rarer guns I just have not seen at all in DayZ in my play sessions (only really seeing it in videos) and yet to find it only spawns at Crash sites perplexes me as this gun fits more in-tune with the whole eastern european theme.

 

So I ask, do you think that the PM-73 should spawn inside police stations instead of crashsites?

Personally I don't think it should spawn in police stations.  I can't imagine why they'd need two different models of submachine guns.

If anything the PM should be spawning in police stations and the MP5 should be the rare one.

I've never seen a PM in the game... To be honest I still believe that it is some elaborate hoax played on me by all of you.

This I can agree with, in general I believe some weapons should spawn soley at crash sites, the MP5K being one of them alongside the AK-101, M4A1 and the soon to be released Steyr AUG. Plus I'm pretty sure .380 Auto ammunition spawns most frequently in Police Stations from what I gather so it would be more plausible for it to spawn there.

MP5K isn't really some special weapon (neither are the AK-101, or really M4A1 for that matter.)

 

However, it is an MP5K, not full-sized MP5, so it does sort of make sense that most MP5Ks would come from air crews, rather than police officers.

Granted the MP5K is not a "special" weapon by any means nor is the AK-101 or the M4A1 but when I come across a helicopter crash site, normally I'd like to think they were apart of a special forces recon team sent by a western country to "observe" the devastation of Chernarus after the Zombie apocalypse and that they'd be armed with some typically high grade weapons, the MP5K being a popular choice for Special Forces and even Air crews like you said for it's compactness and modularity.

 

To be honest I would expect the Chernarus Police Force to use PM-73's as their designated sub-machine gun or going so far to use an AKS-74U when things required that little extra firepower.

It is much more sensible and realistic to have the PM-73, as well as MP5Ks spawn at helicopter crashsites, but I've also always remembered helicopter crashsites for being places to find truly end game weapons.

It's definitely between a rock and a hard place to make that decision. I'd say that, at least for now, swapping the MP5K and PM-73 would be the better decision, because the PM-73 is almost impossible to find, and the MP5Ks are fairly popular (whereas PM-73s are, for the most part, inferior.) so you could justify it as a decent-tier weapon for now.

 

The PM-73 can still remain a spawn for the eastern helicopter crash sites, and I can imagine that the MP5K could still be a (rare) general military spawn, by allowing it to spawn in the hangars or air traffic control towers, air-related buildings. That way both of them still remain somewhat common and you actually get to see both of them in use.

Hmm a pm 73 spawning in a police stations. Its not that bad of an idea but it should he extremly rare. Or if it doesn't spawn in police station make it spawn in crash sites that spawn the m4. They used to spawn in helicopter crash sites but fixed one and they were persistant. Those were removed in .49. Not sure why.

Going with what you say and from what I understand, the PM-73 comes with two types of magazines in-game, a 15 round and a 25 round. Perhaps the 15 round magazine should spawn in Police Stations with a rare chance of the 25 spawning and perhaps with the 25 round magazine being more prolifent at Eastern Crash sites. Just a thought.
