Stabbath, I'm strongly convinced that you're trying to join a server too quickly after a server restart. None of our guys have had this issue.

 

After a reset, wait for the server to be on the first minute of the hour before rejoining.

is the server time set for 06:00?  I posted a page back that when it resets it goes to 08:00, 09:20 then down to 06:00.  So if the time is set for that people should wait until they see that.

Easiest way to tell if the server is up and running again - Is to join - And when you get to the black screen 'Waiting for host', if you do not then get the battle eye initialized message in red on the lower left corner of your screen within about 5 seconds of getting to the waiting for host screen - Quickly press escape as the server is not yet ready

The absolute sure way to know you're not joining to early is to wait until you see 06:01 as the start time.  As previously mentioned it goes 08:00, 09:20, 06:00 but to be safe like I said wait until 06:01.

 

I have it on good word from the Admins of our server that tonight (Tuesday) we're going to mix things up a bit.  Since Tuesday/Wednesday is the day that server maintenance is done and you have to pick up all your stashed gear.  What that means is sometime around 20:00 hours PST we're going to turn persistence off for 24 hours.  It will then again be turned back sometime around 20:00 hours PST Wednesday evening.  This should give everyone a chance to get their loot on and grab enough items to get them through the week.  Well that is unless they run into a FOG member then they'll need to regear anyway ;)

I'm going to throw my suggestion out here as well. When the server is resetting, wait about 5 minutes. Do not just click the server listing to refresh it, it will not refresh anything but the ping. I exit out to the main menu or click on the server tab and then back to my favorites tab. This refreshes the whole listing and will reflect the amount of players and the time. Wait for the server time to have changed from the :00 of the hour to something like :01 or :02 of the hour. This works for me every time and I have never been reset by practicing this. It might be tedious but it works.

With persistence on, loot respawns randomly instead of after a server restart. Search high & low, & frequent places that you usually do, even if you had only checked them 20 minutes ago.

 

Something shiny may have spawned within that small amount of time.  ;)

 

Are you saying that loot will respawn in the middle of a server's uptime? Without a restart? This makes sense to me because I swear I have logged off and back on within a restart and seen loot reappear.

It's true we were in the church, we were asking the divine one questions like "why would someone take shots at us then combat log when we return fire" or "why does DayZ crash when there is a Zed on us allowing it to take our life" or yet still "why would the game allow someone to spawn in the same room as me?"

 

You "literally" caught me with my pants down, funny thing is reflecting back on it combat logging like someone did just minutes before never crossed our minds...I guess sportsmanship means more to us than some pixels.
