I took out two heavily armed guys with my firefighter axe!

I've only been playing for a few days and I found myself in Zelenogorsk. All I had was the firefighter axe and some basic food and a few scraps for bandages. I found a lot of useful stuff as I made my way through the town until I came across the military base.

 

I was searching the main building when these two guys burst in with a pistol and a Mosin rifle. I darted into the cell near the entrance and got my firefighter axe ready just as the guy with the pistol comes in and tries to shoot me, but I dodge the shots and get around him. With several swings I kill him and then charge down his mate waiting outside and take him out as well! In the process I broke an arm and my axe got damage, but that was so fun!

 

Thanks to them I have an inventory crammed with pristine items too!

I guess it depends what gear you have and how much you ll lose in case you die, in this case the guy had pretty much nothing to lose but an axe. Moreover he was in a military facility and we all know that the trend there is to kill or be killed.

I was walking through Berezino with my gun on my back (I am not hostile), then some guy rounded a corner and just pulled his gun and starting saying "stop", "hands up" etc, then out of no where this fresh spawn came up behind him with pitchfork and started to lash at him. Was so funny. In the end I killed them both, they started to have a little fight, so I pulled out my AK and just finished them off.

but sometimes it would be better to be nice. the two guys that killed me with no reason a few days ago north of Zelenogorsk "played it hard". And ended  sitting in Zelenogorsk military base jail building, refusing to surrender... until my friends threw a grenade inside that killed them both. Would they have been more like poetry teachers when they met me, they would have survived. :P

 

fun fact:

(I heard my friends on TS3) they needed 2 grenades because they forgot to pull the pin before throwing the first grenade...:D :P )

to be honest, i never threw a grenade... I found a flashbang and wanted to test it, but that was just a few minutes before I was killed, so my flashbang was gone... just heard it on TS3, that they wondered the grenade didn't explode ;-)

Because of how the animations and aim work in this game, closer than 10 feet, the axe has an advantage over everything but an ak, mp5, or m4.
