Just committed pre-wipe suicide in Berezino

Recommended Posts

So I've had this character for the past 7 months, I had over 300 hours on him:

Given the impending wipe, I decide to run the coast on a full pop server looking to give the first person I saw all my gear. Didn't see a soul until I reached Berezino.

When I did, I saw a group of four guys, one with his gun out. I said "Hey guys how's it going?" All but one replied "Hey there", the one with the gun took cover, then came out shooting, I shot back but:

Then I hear over the mic, "Hey, you mind if I take his stuff?" I truly hope he enjoyed what he found:

Fully kitted (legit) M4 with 3 60 round mags

Unicorn Mosin w/ Bipod, LRS, Comp and a PU scope

Fully kitted FNX w/ Mags

Tent

Engraved 1911

Sawed Off

Press Vest

Ammo box w/ a stack of every ammo in game

Full Med Kit (Morphine, Epi, etc..)

etc...

Of course if I weren't suicidal I could have killed them all, but hey... I'd rather die and have some people enjoy my loot than let all my work be completely wiped away by a patch.

Either way, so long old friend. I now welcome the coming wipe!

What makes you think that is what I did?

I spent most of my time running between Military Bases, Airfield and Major Cities, also helping my clan. That character was shot at least a dozen times, yet still survived.

Its not hard to not die in this game.

I just don't think it seems like fun, since there's nothing to do but loot. But that's just my opinion..

A much harder, and much more entertaining thing to do is just triyng to survive in the northeast, there you can interact with people and do the exact same things you've done for 7 months, but less running.

I haven't needed loot, besides food, for months. Again that's NOT what I did. You seem to have a straw man problem sir.

I spent plenty of time in the NE, all I did was seek out player interaction and play the hero. Just because I didn't die or play Berezino Deathmatch like some CoD loser doesn't mean I was bored or running around inland.

so you kept your character idle for 7 months? Well, some people buy DayZ to play, some to collect stuff and never use it... Been there, done that... But after 300 hours it should get really boring.... But since you played it 1 hour a week at most, I can understand it...

Funny thing. I got almost all of that in about 3 hours of play upon a respawn in a 35/40 pop server. Without killing anyone, or ever being shot at.

Oh look, another person with reading comprehension problems.

I was never idle, I play every day, none of my gear went without use.

You're obviously bad at math since its impossible to put in over 300 hours playing 1 hour a week for 7 months.

Really? A tent, bipod mosin, fully kitted M4, FNX w/ mags and a press vest in 3 hours? I doubt it.

I've also never killed anyone who didn't shoot first.

Wow, you must be some kind of pro player.

3 barely geared bambi's and 1 guy with an SKS broadcasting their position in open voice chat right infront of the police station doesn't require rambo to beat.

Meh, it's possible. I survived from mid-January to July 28th on the same character, logging over 1,000 hours into it. I only played on 30+/40 servers, ran mostly from Balota to Vybor over and over hitting up the airfields and military bases looking for tussles. I was shot a lot, broke a lot of limbs, and ended up finally dying when I took a trip to Novodmitrovsk; the stairs to the tower were my ultimate undoing. Most people in this game fucking suck, so when you have your wits about you, aren't a bad shot and understand basic tactical gameplay, it's pretty easy to survive. The main thing that led to my survival was avoiding groups of more than four people. Even five terribads can spell death if you're not 100% on your game.

Good job OP.

Ok so you ran inland, not needing any loot, looking for interactions for 7 months...

Now that's boring, especially if you play every day

I played the shit out of first CoD and enjoy pvp at Berenzino cause thats where you are most likely to find pvp.

I dont see how those things makes me a loser.

If you're one of those "that's the only way to play DayZ" types then of course you don't.

If not, then you need not take offense.

When did I ever say I spent my entire time inland for 7 months? You really have either a straw man problem or reading comprehension issues.

If you think that was the purpose of my thread, you really must have an inferiority complex. This was simply a memorial to my longest lasting character.

That said, I'd love some worship and praise... so long as its not baseless.

My friends and I committed 3 way suicide. We stood in a triangle and everyone pointed their weapon at the guy on the right's head. On the count of 3 everyone pulled the trigger.

It worked. We laughed our asses off.

TBH I've only recently started playing the mod. Man are they not friendly in Overpoch...

Don't worry, DayZ SA will get there... at least I hope.

Standing in the middle of the street? I would have likely started with the gunman, I could have dropped two with headshots and sprayed the third while they were talking before they even moved, then played the long game with the survivor as he tried to escape BZ or loot the gun of his friend.

Or I could have went inside the bar to the south of them and picked them off with my Mosin.

If it were 4 guys with guns in CQB, I doubt I would have have such an upper hand. I've killed 3 dupers before, but the 3rd nearly got me. 3 Unarmed guys and 1 gun, how does that require anyone playing "masterfully"?

That said, I play the friendly hero. Its not mercy to not kill on sight.
