Can't wait to get out into experimental after work and feel the sweet temperature on my skin ..now all daddy needs is some barricades and I'm set til vehicles and base building come out :) .

I strip all my clothes off at the start of a life so I was cold for a bit, 30 seconds, until I found a T-Shirt. From that point on my character hasn't complained once about being cold or too hot. Though, I don't sprint every where I go, haven't had to run mad distances and it hasn't rained on my server. But I am thinking, as long as you manage your character correctly, this new stuff isn't as harsh as people are making it sound.

 

PS Was a little sad to see that thrown object/physics is currently broken. =(

OMG you can run up and down stairs.

 

And sewing kits seem to be broken. Edit: Apparently it just took a bit. (Lag perhaps)

 

Also, I've been sprinting around with a hoodie on. Got messages such as, "I am hot" and "I am sweating" 

 

yaldy! that's been a minor bug bear of mine for a while, glad it's been fixed

It doesn't work with the stairs on the big red barn. I, for one, hope the nerf the speed while running up stairs. It's a little bit ridiculous.

Not tried it yet but I'm sure there is a happy medium to be struck, something faster than what it was anyway

Not a bad update really, I've got a pretty naff connection but a full server just a few moments ago ran faultlessly - selecting weapons was instantaneuous.

 

Noticed that scopes (except the Crossbow scope) don't seem to spawn in garages now, or that could just be bad luck.

 

Hyperthermic needs to be toned down (in my view) as only a minute or so after putting a jacket on the guy feels faint. Seems a little too much as even sitting still for ages and feeling cold it comes straight back after just a few seconds of putting the clothing back on.

 

Also if you repair clothing with the sewing kit whilst it's being warn it won't show up as repaired, you need to drop it and put it back on - Least I had too.

 

Aside from that, not a bad update.

Action canceling seems to be a bit bugged. The animation continues but the action isn't completed. Got my ass beat half to death by a Zed.  :D

I found one of the green bandages as well and I can confirm that the sewing kit repair does seem to require you moving the item for the repair to show. Item status updates overall seem to have some bugginess. Another thing I noticed is that it felt like cooking was talking a long time until I started adding more logs. When I get back on later I'm going to try and find cookware to test the portable stove.

Bug/Issue Reported - Hunger seriously unbalanced in 0.49.

 

Myself and a large group of my clan members downloaded and installed the 0.49 update for Experimental today, 28/08/14.
Every single one of us died multiple times from starvation within a very short time of spawning. We all tried to eat as much as we could, but no matter how much we ate, the "Hunger" message would arise again after a few minutes. We then tried to test how quick the energy from the food ran out. So we all gathered as much food as possible but only one person ate it, me. I consumed 5 cans on Tac Bacon, 2 spaghetti, 1 beans, 2 Tuna, 2 Sardines, 4 cans of soda, 1 zucchini and 3 apples all within around a 15-20 minute period while walking and jogging around a town. I managed to get energized from all this food, BUT the hunger message appeared again within about 5-7 minutes and I was starving and falling unconscious within another 5-10 minutes.

This seriously needs to be rebalance urgently as the game is borderline unplayable and no one is able to test the new mechanics and items as it's just a constant rush for food..... which there is nowhere near enough of as items are not respawning.

Over a 4 hour period every member of my clan died from starvation multiple times, not one person died from other players or Zombies! We also bumped into other players in the town and they all said the same thing, that they were dying before even being able to work out where they were.

I'm not sure if we're playing the same game Euphoria. I played for 2 or 3 hours and was never hungry after the first few minutes.

Same. Played a good 2-3 hours as well and once I hit energized I never lost it.

Farmers Hoe and Splitting axe are good to go for killing zeds.  Fire axe is tits on a boar hog, again, good for making sticks and firewood, that's about it.

 

Logged in as "Lethally Hypothermic" twice as a bambi, died both times from it.  Vision starts to fog and then, you are dead.  Could not find an axe or matches.  Once I was being chased around by two zeds in a barn in three valleys when I keeled over from hypothermia.  Uh, yeah, that's gonna need a TSP report, great.....

Its Hyperthermia not Hypo... you overheated. I know it says you feel cold... that means your cooling off. This new weather needs some love !

so can some one point me in range of what all was put on expermental?

i see

you can grow crops

weather system is in effect and ppl are over heating, 

animals have meet in them that can be cooked?

living off the land is now possible?

 

 

is it possible to live off the land with the chances of dieing to cold? or does ur cold meter not matter if ur inside a house or not,, if there is a link to all this and i have missed it go ahead and point this newb that way but all i have seen are hints of that stuff

also i got a group of a guys 

 

also i got a group of guys i play with, and we want to set up base a little, so tents, hard to find, can you make? are they for sure holding stuff over resets?

If you have the proper clothing you shouldn't die due to the cold. Once I found a raincoat I was pretty much good to go! Fires seem to warm you up and dry you off but I'm not sure about being inside a building. Be careful because you can overheat too.

Nope.  I logged in already soaked; before I moved it was telling me I was lethally hypOthermic.  I ran around a bit, ran up a hill - same message - went into a building, wrung out my clothes, and was still cold.  I could have waited in the building a while, but the sun was shining, I ran up a field, into the trees, was "sweating" - and died of the cold.

On stable I can spawn at Berezino and run flat out to the NWAF about 8-9km and that will pretty much kill me from starvation or very close too, but a tin or two of beans along the way and I'm golden. But tonight on Exp 0.49 I spawned at Kras and didn't even make it to Novo before falling unconscious! We were all dropping like flies. Even when me and one of my clan mates spawned in Cer Polana, we were starving when we hit Novo and even after 4-5 cans of food, we were unconscious within 5-10 mins.

 

Not just me, 2 of the guys were livestreaming and even the chat was going mad about how messed up it was that we were dying so quick from hunger.

Just put in a monstrously long session, Had minor trouble with food and temperature early on and injured myself with a fireplace but was well fed by the time I had looted Berezino, ended up doing a loot run from Berezino through Polana, Gorka, Novy/Stary then Vybor and NWAF with a friend, I didn't find any new loot items just a lot of Sporters and Double Barrels and the odd SKS.CR527 or pistol.

 

Has anyone else found anything new and are there any patchnotes up yet? [edit]: nvm, saw soladudes post, ty man.
