Will I be able to take suicide in DayZ?

I know they've already made the animation for taking suicide. But would this be added to the game or not? My point of view this would add more depth to the game. In an apocalypse you might wanna end your miserable life yourself. This will also make new stories about people trying to flee from other players but afraid to be taken as hostage, but instead they choose to take their life and hopefully others won't find your body and gear. What do you guys think about this option?

I agree with Exorade. They'll have to implement it in a way were it won't be accidentally used. Maybe a confirmation box or something. Like press to commit suicide. Box pops up and asks the question "Are you sure?" Press yes or no. Or could be done a different way. I'm thinking about it from a programming perspective of course.

Suicide is kinda' unnecessary in this game besides for roleplaying scenarios and getting unstuck. I hope this feature isn't prioritized at all.

I'm looking forward to this feature I've been glitched or desperately sad about my characters progress (lol) and I juSt want to live my characters life how some do in movies : blow my brains out when I don't like how things are going, but I believe there should be a limit of how many times you can do this in a day , maybe one suicide per server per day or 3 suicides a day total (just to prevent suicide trolling).

i hope is possible but I NEVR DOING SUICIDE because is opposit point of dayz to survive but i think maybe if you and frend is hide in the house outside is m4 bandit clan they shout 'HEY WE WILL COME AND DO TORTURE AFTER KILL AND STEAL LOOTS' maybe they can DESTROY ALL LOOTS and after do a suicide so wen the bandit is arrive THERE IS NOTHING FOR THEM HAHAHA

If it's not going to be a part of the game at some point, I would be disappointed that they felt the need to have it in the official promo video for the game.

Hopefully they're not going for negative attention advertising on this one, (assuming that the bottom vid is 'official' and not a fan-made mimic.

I personally don't see any real need for it, given that it's so easy to kill yourself anyway, or more accurately, to be killed.  Dont' want to sound like a granny here, but I think it's unnecessary, and may hurt sales.

put it in the UI menu when hitting ESC......put where RESPAWN is then once dead RESPAWN will reappear in its place.....I think it should be in-game but maybe a timer.....no animation needed but would be nice to need a way before you can do it(have knife, gun or rope in inventory)

Guys it's obvious.

Once the balancing is done in the game we will have random spawns again. And with random spawns, people would suicide for a better spawn so it would be exploited.

So this is why we don't have an easy suicide option in the game I believe.

At least I believe we will have more random spawns again one day.

It needs to be item based suicide so its not abused to get a better spawn. This way you at least need to spend fives minutes finding a melee or gun.

that dosen't solve the problem of respawning "stuck" even tho I agree about items needed to do it.....respawn timer should take care of spawn abuse

people allready jumped of tall buildings to kill them selfes so why make an option to do it ?
