EduardoMaia 72 Posted August 16, 2014 (edited) HI guys, i fount a tutorial to make Dayz use more memory, like 64b You have to replace a DLL called: tbb64malloc_bi.dllin C:\\Arquivos de Programas (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\DayZ\dlland then, put -malloc=tbb64malloc_bi in your Steam, Set launch Options! Can anyone tellme if i can get banned? I have found this, here: <LINK REMOVED FOR THE MOMENT> Edited August 16, 2014 by orlok safty check
byrgesen 1341 Posted August 16, 2014 Be very very very VERY carefull with dll files from untrusted sources mate.It could be some kind of malicious software tbh, nobody knows, but the creator. I wouldnt do this, never ever!
St. Jimmy 1631 Posted August 16, 2014 (edited) Might not or might get you banned. I wouldn't trust that without hearing some more. Mallocs are legit way but I don't know how much someone can screw you with their malloc. Edited August 16, 2014 by St. Jimmy

byrgesen 1341 Posted August 16, 2014 The problem with DLL files is that you can inject anything you want into them. You have no idea if this is sending information from your PC to the creator, you have no idea if its injecting your computer with malware/spyware. DLL injection is the most common way of cheating in game to btw.Im not saying this cant be trusted, but i would never ever download a DLL file from a non trusted site.
SmashT 10907 Posted August 16, 2014 I'd probably stick with a reputable source if you are going to use a custom memory allocator. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?163640-Arma3-and-the-LARGEADDRESSAWARE-flag-(memory-allocation-gt-2GB)https://github.com/fred41/tbbmalloc_arma
